on YOU ARE MY WORLD By Patricia Edwards by Aztec56
Soul is my favorite genre to listen to, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of soul tracks produced on this site. This is one of the better ones on here. Keep em coming!

on monsterage ft miper - 4-12-18 by monsterage
This is art! Moody, strange, emotive, pensive. I wish there was more of this on this site. Vocals and music fit like a glove. Quality vocals. I'm a fan.

on By myself by angler234
Vocals are strong. I'm not sure the music do them justice. I wish I had the stems so I could play around and see if I could do something with them. I guess the vocals just have more soul than the music does for me.

on Disco ate my Cornflakes - feat Patricia Edwards by JackLake
Really like this, very funky, but I'll do Danke one better, I'd say the vocals need to be brought much more forward.
JackLake
JackLake replied 27th May 2019 - 5 years ago
Thanks for the feedback Neuromancer56! I see what you mean about the vocals. Sometimes when I work on a track I get used to listening to it and can't tell if something is too far back! Any tips for bringing out vocals?

on Time And Time by mildperil
Wow... just wow.... this track surprised me with its emotional punch. You're best one yet, your vocals soar, and their emotional intensity and authenticity match that of the music. The only suggestion I would offer is to maybe play around with the ratio of delay and reverb. The delay seems a little to strong, but when you lower that, you might have to bump up the reverb. I say that because the delay seems to be giving it an effecty vibe rather than just letting the power of the vocals speak for themselves. I'd want the vocals to have more of a lingering shimmer than a hard echo.

You're just too kind Neuromancer :)

And I've taken yours and anothers comments on board (and I knew myself really, but kinda became deaf to it) and have dialed the delay right back and just added it in certain parts, plus added a little more reverb.

Thanks for the great feedback, it's very much appreciate.

I like this track. Funky trippy, and out there, kind of like the Art of Noise which is one of my all time fave bands.

Hauntingly beautiful. I wish there was more ambient like this on here that can give a person an out of body experience like this. Back in the day I used to listen to this kind of music whenever I could, and this stacks up well to the best.

Really like this one. Loved it when the guitars came in at 0:40. Very healing , positive, and peaceful. Just keeps getting better as it goes along. While you're known for violins, I wish you'd have tried a different instrument or synth in this one to mix things up.
Orlando51
Orlando51 replied 15th Dec 2018 - 6 years ago
Thank you really alot for your recommendations cause I'm thinking about those alternatives myself quite a lot but I guess I got a bit addicted to my violin...haha...Will certainly think of something different some time in the future, for sure...thanks alot for your kind comment !

Thanks you for your nice compliments. If you think about it country is blues also in a way. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to listen and compliment. Have a great holiday.
