on Mayday Parade - When You See My Friends Cover by Mahloo13

I feel like ive heard this song before. I listen to alot of bands similar to this. Very in line with the norm for this style. That being said I think it would def compete in that market. Im looking forward to seeing the mixing notes :) I have a bunch of track in this style that I cannot for the life of me get my head wrapped around a solid mix for em.

The mix notes won't be anything fancy. Just a bit of EQ, compression and reverbs, delays. Working on arranging the files as we speak!

Hey mate good to see you again buddy!...yeah the HipHop side is very much intentional as this was going to be the backing for an old school performer from here, but he dicked me around for months and months without any action so I pulled the plug on him, it happens sometimes but in the end I prefer it as an instrumental. Beat is dope for sure.
I feel like your vocals are over produced. Too Much fx and shit on em. Mainly the hook.
Sometimes I ending up doing similar shit to my own vocals. I think its the fact that most people hate to hear their voice on the playback, which in turn would make you want to throw fx on it to get it sounding like what you think you sound like. lol that make any sense?
What do you record with?

I record using Logic Pro 10. My Vocals actually don't have too much of anything on them. It's only reverb, and I have two tracks to layer the hook & some slight auto tune to make it smoother.
