on TELL ME TWO CAP by DjLeeMFW
I really dig this. The overall quality needs some fine tuning, but the delivery is dope. Is that someone rapping on a mic, or did you find these vocals and cut em in? Beat is cool. nice bounce. If you need an engineer to mix and master your tracks, keep me in mind! peace and keep it up!

on same blood different bloodstreams part1 by jobantwisp
The lyrics are pretty good, and flows not bad for your first song ever. Obviously the quality of the song is pretty rough, but that will come in time. Your vocals are muffled. Sounds like you need a new condenser mic. But keep me in mind if you need an engineer to mix and master your tracks. Shoot me an email. Peace and keep it up

on Smile - a work in progress by MightyMemphis
Smooth. Nice and easy. I know its house, but it does get a BIT repetitive. Interesting mix of soothing sounds and an up tempo beat. Wasnt sure how to handle it.

on 808 Playa Made by DjLeeMFW
Not bad. It does seem a bit "all over the place". Did you sample the vocals into the beat or did someone spit a verse? If its a sample, it seems a bit "off". Doesnt ride the beat how it was meant to, but i like the effects you got on those vocals for the most part. Heavy sound to it. Also the whole track seems like its compressed too much. Looks like you slapped a limiter on it and cranked it WAY up, which is fine to an extent. It gets to the point where it reduces the quality which I think you ran into a bit here. Keep it up tho man

on How To Loot Brazil - American Ocean Remix by Zvyagintsev
I dig this mix. Blended together very well. Didnt feel awkward or forced. Didnt expect those kind of drums when they finally hit, that was cool. Overall perhaps a little quiet? It got loud at the end, i thought the whole track could of been that "loud" on the mastering side of things, but besides that I enojoyed it. You have some talent. Keep it up.

on Bringing The Fortune by Zvyagintsev
This has potential! Unique sound. Thats what I mostly look for. Do you stand out? I believe you do. The beat structure could use some work, overall its a bit raw, production could use a little work, but like i said it has potential. Keep it up man. Im always down to work on something when im not tied up in other projects. Peace.

I like the production on that beat. Your verse complimented it pretty well, in fact. Blended together well. Lyrics were good. Nice track

on GoodYear Anthem by ZaddySA
I like the ode to those classic verses you reinterpreted on the 1st verse. Delivery was really lacking though. Not much energy put into it. The verse wasnt "believable". Keep at it tho

on chrono verse Feat Nate Monoxide by rottenmeat
I dig the ambient melody in this. A bit of a contrast from your rap style but not bad. Vocals seemed a bit "crowded" .. you could of turned down your overdubbed vocal track a bit, in my opinion. keep it up!

rottenmeat replied 25th Mar 2019 - 5 years ago
Thank you! The melody is sampled from Chrono Trigger (BEST GAME.), and im sorta new to the vocal stuff. But once again, thank you for the feed back!

on Chopped Pizzi Riff by DJJPA
Nice bounce to this. I initially thought that the keys that come in after a while were a bit loud, but not much though.

on BOSS SHIT by DjLeeMFW
Not bad man. Got a UGK feel to it that i enjoyed. Vocal quality lacked a bit, the flow was sloppy in SOME parts, but overall had a nice bounce. Keep at it

on Gipsy Mob - Prod by DopeGreed0 by Grido
For one of your first beats, this is solid. Couple small things i noticed, if your interested in honest feedback... The main violin or whatever that is, sounds like it plays on a loop throughout the whole song without stopping. That can get a bit dull after a while. Your lows are on point but your highs sound boxxy. Use that EQ and pull them highs up a bit, and pull the very center of your mix down just a hair to remove that boxxyness. Keep at it..

Grido replied 22nd Mar 2019 - 5 years ago
Thank you for the feedback, i really appreciate it! Yes, i've been a bit lazy with the melody, you are right ahah I'm not sure about what you mean with "boxxy", maybe you refer to the fact that i lowered the high end of the frequencies of the melody. I saw a tutorial saying that it's a good idea, but maybe i should leave a bit more of them :)

on Seven Centuries by StaticNomad
Woah... This isnt as good as you wanted it to be?? This really takes you on a journey. If this was played live, you would have my full attention. Sounds like a movie soundtrack, almost... I like the structure of the song as well... That slow burn, steady build. Flowed well... Im impressed..
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 24th Mar 2019 - 5 years ago
No, it's not as good as I was hoping. I wanted it to be more powerful and epic. I'll give you a few, specific examples:

6:08 tribal drums I really like. They gave me the idea to do some heavy, Tool-like guitar playing. I used to be a decent guitarist but I rarely even play the instrument these days so I couldn't add the riffs I had in my head.

8:00 this heavier section feels like it should be much heavier and contain a cool guitar solo. But I'm not up to laying down any sort of guitar solo these days so I had to do without.

Glad you enjoyed my lengthy, twisting, turning journey. I make a lot of tracks like that. Yes, like a movie soundtrack. Intro is perhaps reminiscent of a Mongolian dawn.

Yes, a nice slow burn, building up to more powerful stuff. Just not powerful enough.

Hearing it played live would be cool but would need quite a few musicians. Probably two violins and two cellos, a few synth players and a couple of drummers.

Thanks for enjoying my flow. Always a very important thing when composing!
