Hey there, nice track you've got here! Very calming and soothing melody and the supporting synths create a great atmosphere with the lead too. Like davesmith said, this track reminds me a lot of the 90's era of trance which in my opinion, was an iconic time for trance. Anyways, just a tip if you plan to work on this more: I'd bring down all of your instrument's volumes. The track's clipping pretty badly but if you do some leveling and just make sure the master isn't peaking over 0dB, should do you good. Anyways, great track, keep making sick tunes :)!

Hi all, thanks all for the comments, most appreciated.

@davesmith1983: Yeah I have used very little sidechaining on this one so far. Only a little on the initial bass (the first one you hear) as some of it's notes play the same time as the kick and I wanted the kick to retain it's punch.

@guitarguy316: This is not my first attempt at trance but probably my best attempt so far. I have just applied what I have learned since then. ;)

@Nechura: Thanks, yeah I was pushing for max volume, the track is compressed (only a little) and is limited but I now plan to go over the track again and see how it sounds with more sidechaining and some adjustment to the levels/compression ect.

Not bad, you're heading in the right direction with this style. The sliced up vocals were a good addition and the bass is very simple but it's a good foundation to build on.

Although, there's basically no variation in the song at all. No verse melody or bridges, choruses? I don't mean to offend but you really need to make it less bland. Try making some alterations of the bassline and try make a verse melody. Make a hatline, a couple background synths and already, you'd be grabbing more of the listener's attention.

Another thing I found is that the notes the bass plays are way too low. It's got that farty kinda' sound. Few things you could try is moving the melody up a key or 2 (not really sure if that's the correct term lol but you know what I mean.. right.. right?) or some effects like a chorus, flanger, whatever your personal preference is :P.

Other than that, all I can say is to try add some rythmic percussion to it. Shakers, random percs and weird stuff. It's a great way to make your tracks all the more interesting. Anyways, that's about it. What you have here is a great foundation for a great track. I hope to hear the full version one day. Ciao!

Awesome track you have here man. Reminds me of Deadmau5 quite a bit. That lead is so good. The atmosphere created by the melody it plays really stands out to me and the voices that play through the build-ups are a nice addition too. They really compliment the lead.

One thing that crossed my mind though is that it's repetitive. It doesn't really variate, it's basically the same melody and beat through-out the whole song. Try making some alterations of the melody and complete the song structure more. Don't just be generic either. Mess with some odd song structures and you might come across something perfect :P. And to make things even more interesting, try experimenting with some odd sounds to go along with the beat. The more stuff you layer into the song, the better it's gonna get! But don't get me wrong, I mean no offence, it's good the way it is and if you like it the way it is, keep it 'cause you made it after all :P.

Anyways, that's about all from me. It's an awesome song and one of the better house tracks I've heard on this site. Keep it up!

Brilliant Psytrance track! Probably one of the better quality tracks I've heard here on LM. Your composition amazes me. You executed everything perfectly, from the effects to the melodies to the transitions. Infact, this isn't just good quality, it's professional quality. No c&c needed.

You've got quite a bit of talent man, keep it up.
