Very clean vocal and a nice steady bass line. Personally i feel the track is missing depth. Don't get me wrong-it's good, it just it could be REALLY good for the mainstream with some stereotypical side chained synths and filters etc etc.
Good job here. Trance can easily become cheesy and this has not stepped into that area at all. A bit slower and a few less rolls, it could be very progressive too.
I like the riff you've got going off. Just one thing, there's way too much side chain and the track is really sucking in and out.
Well it does on my monitors and they generally don't lie.
Really good work though.
There some great ideas in there. Has a chicago house edge to it.
For me, the vox need reverb and some eq. Slam in bit of delay here and there on it too.
Slow it down too. That should be running at no more than 126bpm. Trust me, i used to run a top midlands underground house night. That will make the bass sound cool and funk'd up, and you will pick out the groove much better too.
Stay on that one and i'll tune in and see the end result for sure.
Hey, was reading your statement on the track and you have said about the sounds overpowering. I can give you some basic tips.
Try and eq the tracks stripping all unwanted frequencies out of the sound.
Pan the sounds, not too much though!
Reverb is great for moulding strong sounds together and taking the edge off them.
Yeah i like the perc and the clicks are really good. The riff is nice, but needs depth. Just one thing though- where's the bass line?
Thanks for sharing, i look forward to the finished version.
yeah cool track! NO VOCAL though please. To be there seems too much side chain on something and the compreesor is working overtime. Really over powers the tune in places. Love the old skool perc, and the chord stabs the come late on give the tune a nice pick me up. Really like this. Good work!!!
Yes! Love this! I like the slight latin feel to the perc. ~Good moody blues, and the guy who does the lyrics really does sound like 80's pop sensation Paul Young. A natural didtress to his voice. Adding to my favs and my first add too!
Yeah i really like this! Has attitude! Dunno if the bit rate is higher than needed for the site though. Seems to me the looperman player is struggling with the bit rate....
I love the kick in this track and the mood is dark, but i feel it needs a bass stab there too. Just seemed that i was hanging on for it to come in.
Good work though.
Hey. A swing is a unquantised hit. Really noticeable swing is in Jazz and... yes swing. If you saw it in midi form, the hits wouldn't land exactly on the grid with a 16d, they kinda land just of, which give it a "jackin " feel. When Looperman finally get round to putting my loops up, you'll here what i mean. You can't do this with audio samples though, unless.... Take a deep breath...:- (a) You have a groove shifter in your software (not recommended) (b) You slice every bit of perc sound up and then putting it into a sampler like the EX24 they have in Logic. This is very long and boring, but the end results means you have a great drum patch which can be manipulated. You can see what i mean if you look up some video tutorials- it way too much to explain in words.
By the way 16d means that the 16th hits will be moved on a "double'. 16t is a triplet. Research it further to have a greater understanding of groove.
Surprised no one has reviewed this tune. Nice little number. Reminds me a little of what Darude make, and i think for the genre it's in, a vocal will work in that nicely.
I like the modulated synths after the break down to pick up the energy that seems to tick over on the 16th.
Good job.
I like some of the sounds going off here. I would try speeding it up just a little, and try swinging the track for that real authentic minimal sound, around 16d normally does it. that should give it groove then.
