some open hats , percs would give it more rhythm and maybe another instrument to spice things up a little.

I was aiming for a simple perc line but I do see how it could get boring.

I'd like to add a guitar of sorts to back the backup melody but I don't have access to anything of that nature.

The track is supposed to be basic. The vocals I haven't added are supposed to be the main melody and the focus.

the 808 is straight Firee...but if you made the loop and didn't use a sample then u should've added more variation or atleast flipped the sample a little bit..
but it still sounds good , great job
