The quality of your song sounds very professional and pristine sounding. I agree with some of the other reviewers that it needs some backing vocals to give your song some extra oomph. By the way, nice work koble!
I may be a little biased here since DoTD is one of my favorite movies but I think you managed to create a really ace track that was simple but was still very effective. The placement of the movie samples were well places. Nice job!
I agree with MrE how your song is emotive, especially the drum track being audible but restrained enough where is doesn't overwhelm the overall atmosphere of the song. I also enoyed the way the piano weaves around during the first part of the song and quietly disappears to make way for the string section and then subtly reappers. I had to listen to your song abour 3 times cuz it was that good
I listened to one of your earlier tracks and this one and this one seems so tight and spot on beat-wise compared to the other one I listened to. And I'm with Teksketch, the violins were awesome and congealed with the beat perfectly. Kudos
This song reminds me of a time I was playing Pac-Man while under the influence but I could not explain to other people what I was hearing so I will play this for them instead. Interesting piece
Your chorus is really tight and flows well with your beat but the verses sound just a tad bit slower than the beat. And like the other reviewers, I think your voice really stands out and you sound like a a woman compared to Lady Sov and Bratt
Your track reminded me back when b-side remixes were popular and feels like an alternate mix of another song. That probably makes no sense at all but it is a good thing.
Actually, I think that the bassline works as a build up from the more subdued beginning and do compliment each other. I would recommend making the last part more noisy...maybe adding some static sounds or running the female vocals backwards and cutting them up. But with or without, the track is still quite good.
Thanks for the review.
I think I'll try using the female vocals some more. I've been stuck with what to do to this track for ages. I'll give it a shot and probably re-upload it, (Y).
This song brings to mind some of those pop ballads that were coming out of the UK in the 80s. The mellow piano lines and the kind of gruff vocals were an interesting combination that you don't hear on the radio anymore.
