there are some good ideas brother... for me your basslines needed to be thicker and your kick needs to be meatier... having said that I did enjoy the listen but the track needs a little work... keep 'em coming brother

on Walking on clouds (demo) by StephenPotter
some good ideas here brother...I think for me you need to inject a little more space.... maybe change the bpm(not sure if that would work)... it a great start... maybe a few sfx in the first 30 seconds would make it wider ... spacey glitch sounds or something like that would work well with the lfo's... nice anyway looking forward to hearing the finished track... keep 'em coming brother
StephenPotter
StephenPotter replied Unknown
I think I'm going to keep the BPM the same, add more effects, stretch a dnb loop about 8 times and play around with the LFOs some more, I think it might sound good with those added.

Thanks for the review!

I love that guitar it's got that police feel to it... nice... I enjoyed the listen... keep 'em coming brother

there are some good ideas brother... those levels are a off by quite a bit everything is distorting which makes it kinda hard to hear all the elements in there of which from what I can hear is alot.. some times less is more brother... Keep 'em coming brother

Thankyou Nj, praise means a lot ... samples a terrible film from 1957 ... think it's safe to say James Cameron has nothing to fear in the fx department! will put up the full version soon.

I'm not sure how to explain it but try listening to this...

http://www.mediafire.com/?i2i3h1f3v53hl0x

it's Dash and Poke two very talented artist that have just released on housefly records you'll see what I mean...I feel they really stand out from other house producers because of the sounds they use..

on just drop in by NoMadDix
some great ideas here... I would say dnb is all in the thickness some of your breaks seem a little thin... and also I would say that maybe a use of a pad would increase the texture.. this is good I don't wanna come across all negative ...as a work in progress you've got alot of good ideas to work with here.. keep 'em coming brother

Hey thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I haven't uploaded anything because my CD burner is dead and I can't transfer anything from my studio computer to my internet computer. Hope to get a new one for my birthday. Glad you liked this tune though, thanks for listening!

on kiss the house by NoMadDix
some nice idea here.. I would have kept those fx from the intro going through the whole track and expanded on them ... you know your genre well from what I can hear but there are things you can do to separate you from the very crowded area that is house music... I enjoyed the listen the track has a pro sound but with house music thats not always enough.. keep 'em coming brother

it's always nice to hear something that surprises you .. this has so much texture with out having none.. truly minimal and deep.. again.. not dnb for me more glitch but horses for courses and all that.. I enjoyed the listen thanks for sharing.. keep 'em coming brother

on Show Me Your Heart by venture91
interesting choice for genre because I would have put it in glitch but eh... nevermind... the atmosphere you set out has the feel of a dnb intro .. would have loved to hear abit of pace in there.. but still I enjoyed it none the less... keep 'em coming brother
venture91

Thanks man, i tend to be going down the route of more russian minimal dnb now, but i will probably do a VIP of this sooner or later

some good ideas here ... john carpenter eat your heart out eh? I could totally see this on the original Halloween movies... I like the atmosphere you've set up here but for me it needed to go somewhere and it just hoovers rather than moving along.. some nice ideas... keep 'em coming brother
