again some nice ideas... and again I would have put this in the cinematic genre... the trouble with this second track is it just seem a continuation of the first one with no reason for a break..really.. I would have keep them together as one track it might have worked better... I couldn't escape the feeling though these tracks are just an stream of fx put end to end...anyway some interesting ideas...keep 'em coming brother

some nice ideas here brother....I would have liked to have heard a few sfx in that intro just to give it a bit of texture... I'm liking the vocal... very much like a chip dnb tune brother...as rollagee said it's not that original but still if your just trying something I won't call you on it.. I would say if your gonna keep things generic then you gonna include all the elements ...basicall what I mean is you need a sub in there..some nice ideas to start with... keep 'em coming brother

Nah, this one was just for fun.. nontheless, it was annoying when I lost it. I'll definatly be uploading some more stuff soon, I'm getting inspired by stuff by people on this site, and I recently got two Pendulum albums which are just pure awesome. my only worry is that I'll sound the same as other artists, but I'm more worried about learning the techniques right now. Thanks for listening though!

on I intend to live forever so far so good by alividlife
wow.. the drum track on this is awesome brother... a piece of fantastic work on it's own...all the other elements are working well...

would love to get a chance to add the fx's and atmosphere on this brother....

it's a very good start..can't wait to hear the finished piece..

keep 'em coming brother

wow seriously!?

I could export everything and send... in fact I will.
:)

umn.. But I do plan on adding some variations on the drums tomorrow, also I am trying to get a little girl to sing "I want to live forrrrever" and then kinda lay that over on it...
I think it will add a very very very nice level of surrealism to the track?
But either way man, I will send what I have...
Getting the individual cymbal/hihat tracks and stuff can be done too, it's kinda been bounced down and down over and over lol

I always loved this track brother... nice to see you finally going back and getting the final touches done...

for me I'm think it's a little muddy on the drum side but knowing you ...you already know that..that kick needs to come up in the mix and the snare needs to be sharper like a knife edge..ya know?

I'm not sure but maybe cut some off the top end of the drum track might go towards fixing that...

those guitars scream and growl like a caged panther being poked with a stick and those glitches only add to the power of that..

I can't help the feel that maybe the use of a kinda hammond sound might add something else to the high end once the high end is cut off the drum track thus fill the hole...ya know?

anyway I finish this with how I started it...

I always loved this track brother and the good news is I still do ...

Keep 'em coming brother

This is the kinda review I really neeeeed.

Yea.. I really really messed up on this man! I started finalizing things.... and this was before I was smart about how I labeled my stuff.

I know that we have had that dialogue going on.. But if I do anything else like this in the future, I would prefer to try and work with you?

We could share rights on the drums, I could do some metal riffage, you do the sickassbass you always do?
Hopefully get in an argument.
Start a huge brawl.
Then there's a legal issue... but after a short respite, and a tall 32 oz styrofoam cup of red wine we come to terms and create an even heavier track than this lol

I need to just ... start cleeeeeean!!!! arglol

on Unperfect Perfection By Blume and Becca by BlumeChoon
nice work guys... loving the wobbles ...melody.. very nice... I would have add some more texture to it to really add to the atmosphere of the track.. that vocal comes in quite late maybe something similar at the start of the track or some more sfx nothing too heavy maybe a twinkle of light bells might help..the basses sound like they needed work to begin with but I can't hear an issue now so... that must have been fixed..I would say though I would have liked to have heard that sub come out from under it shell of the other basses from time to time...having said that I did enjoy the track alot thanks for sharing...keep 'em coming
BlumeChoon

Hey thanks brother. I love this track! But the more I listen to it. I don't like my wobbles as much. They seem kinda sloppy and a lil lazy to me. Something to improve on I guess... I'm gonna take you up on the advice and suggestions. I thought there was already a bit going on with Becca's melody but I see now where I could add in some secondary sounds. Sub bass has been a struggle for me lately. But I'll get it eventually. And I'll try to have the sub pop in some during the wobble sections. Brother appreciate the crit and I'll revise and repost this one soon...

on With The Best by Rosh
Some nice ideas here...the high end need sorting they take over the whole track at times... loving the lyrics brother... youse guys work really well together...but you gotta stop making do and make the best production you can.... as in the track "I promise no less" this track just suffers from lack of post production having said that I did enjoy the listen... keep 'em coming brothers

some really nice idea here very... late 80's style almost moby type vibe to it... nicely produced .. I would have probably gone for more drop because it would break the track up some what..but nice... it's great when you find out stuff aint it...keep 'em coming brother

on Dark Sky by Nequissimus
some really interesting ideas here...over all the track is well produced ..maybe a few more fx in there would mix it up and make it a little more interesting because it does get a tiny and I mean a tiny bit mono tone towards 3 mins ish...some may say thats me picking hole but I have to be honest... having said that I like the track and enjoyed the listen...keep 'em coming brother
Nequissimus
Nequissimus replied Unknown
Hey bro!
Thanks a lot for your honest opinion. I'm always glad if somebody is talking about the flaws of a song as well ;-) And I'm glad, you laike it anyways :)

In the first arrangement I had some more SFX in it, but it just seemed overloaded to me ;-) So I decided to keep it as simple as possible without lowering the overall ambience of that song.

I'm a big metal head brother... I can digg the skill it takes to put something together like this.. nice..but you gotta work on the production side for me the track suffers a little because of the lack of EQing etc but I did enjoy the listen..keep 'em coming brother

on All about by HaruTune
some nice ideas here..for me thought I think the track is quite thin...thats bass kicks but the drum track is like wafer thin you need to layer it up a bit brother...everything works nicely it just seems it'd get lost in a good head wind.. having said that I did enjoy the listen and the bass line is worth the listen on it's own... keep 'em coming brother
HaruTune
HaruTune replied Unknown
Thanx for the review.

Yeah I know about drum layering cause I do it most of the time on my Hip Hop sampled beats.

But I didn't want to catch the attention of the listener with my drums but with the bass and the melodies.

This just ain't Hip Hop or other heavy and fat drum based music...

It just got to be funky...

on Yes To All by DextDee
it's well documented that I don't do hiphop..but I like this... the production quality is great and it has the deep textured sound of a pro track... for me though I'd have run a sub under it something to add to the over all track...keep 'em coming brother

on Go Hard by CaseyCalhoun
first up let me say hip hop aint really my thing so...but being objective I'd say the ideas all work well together ...my only problem is the track it's self feels thin...ya know?... no whump behind it...not really sure what to suggest as I said not really my genre but maybe some layering on the drum track and maybe a sub to add weight to that kick and texture to the whole track... maybe even try layering that beep sound ... anyway...keep 'em coming brother

on bongs and bass by KooLKYLE
some really nice ideas in here...I have to say I did notice you still have got your trademark trance synth in there which works great..for me a track like this needs to play with percussion a little more more specifically ethnic percussion...adding more with some panning would increase the texture of the over all sound and feel of the track..the basses are excellent and wouldn't be out of place on any dance floor the world over...nice track brother thanks for sharing I enjoyed the listen...keep 'em coming
KooLKYLE
KooLKYLE replied Unknown
thanks for listning and reviewing.. im still working on the song im going to extend it and add another main break to it.. i will add more percs and while i was making the song i was thinking about paning the beats but it was going to take a while and i wanted to get a demo up asap :)

this reminds me of some of the tracks I heard whilst waiting for the levellers to take to the stage in their early years.. some nice ideas and the soundscape works really well with that scots warpipes sound..loving the idea behind this track...nice ...keep 'em coming brother

Hev Numberjack - don't think I've ever heard of the Levelers, but if they were piping this kind of stuff in before sets I think I would have really dug them. My family's of the Clan Calhoun so it's about time I brought the sounds of pipes to bear in the music! Glad you liked this one! Cheers.

some good ideas... not bad for a first try... you need to try adding in a sub and mixing it up more... your drops need to be padded so it would go crash sound...smooth pad or dark pad or whatever rather than silence... you should have a listen to some of the dnb artist here at the loop...rollagee or travis huckins get some ideas these guys are great at this genre..anyway nice first try I have heard alot worst brother...keep 'em coming

some truly great ideas here...loving those strings & that vocal pad is wicked too.. I'm guessing from the drum track your normally a dubstep producer..very nice ...I would have added a little more reverb to that kick and added a layer of a kick with a longer tail just to add a little mid to your kick but thats just me being picky brother....a nice track...keep 'em coming brother

some really nice idea blume.. I like the whole dub feeling to the track... hopefully that won't be ruined once you put in those wobbles...you got a vocal in there ...and I hope you don't mind me saying...just doesn't fit...it's that "time to get grimey" one...it just seems out of place ...as I said some nice ideas gonna check back once this ones finished...for def... keep 'em coming brother
BlumeChoon
BlumeChoon replied Unknown
Hey thanks brutha for checking this one out. I hear ya man. I was iffy about that lil grimey vocal too. I'll probably take that out cause I agree with you. I don't think I'm going to add wobbles I like the bass as is. I might just try to add a sound to compliment that dark sounding pad. Nice!!! thanks Numberjack. I appreciate your honest critique. You helped me make up my mind...
Respect bro!!!
