some nice ideas brother...I'd would have probably put it in breakbeat though... it kinda reminded me of those old skool hip hop track with the crazy electro snyths... nice track maybe a little more work on the eq would have made the tracka little clearer having said that I like what you've done with...keep 'em coming brother
Thanks Numberjack (like that nick), yeah most of my stuff goes to the breakbeat section, and I must've been high from smoking my socks or something that I decided to drop it into Grime knowing its actually breakbeat. So a bit of confusion there.
Thanks for the positive input and constructive comments. Thanks!
some really nice ideas...I would have loved to have heard a nice record crackle over the whole track to give it that coltraine feel ya know?...nice track I enjoyed it ...keep 'em coming brother
some really great idea here brother... I would say though the intro is a little long..the rest of the track is great the production is good..personally I would have liked to have heard a few more fx in there just to add some texture..but thats just me being picky..nice...keep 'em coming brother
le tme first say I don't really dig on rap so... for me the paino loop needs to come up...maybe that reverb or what ever fx you've got on it needs turning down to boost it and give it strength...after about a minute it does get a bit samey because there not enough changes to keep you interested..maybe you should consider a heavy bassline sub driven or even chopping up that loop and making a few rolls ...anyway...keep 'em coming brother
some nice ideas here ... I can totally hear where you want the track to go and what you want the track to be ... for me it does get quite mono tone because theres not much to hold your ear after about 1:30 mins... I like the dark atmosphere you've got here maybe a few fx might liven things up a bit...keep 'em coming brother
some nice ideas here... I would have liked more of a mix up on the drum track it tends to get a bit mono tone after a while.. the distortion you've got here works really well but it does make it quieter so maybe a boost around the drop would work ..but having say that a nice track..keep 'em coming brother
nice ideas brother...that top end of hats is still there a little too high but the track is great..loving the feeling and emotions you added to the track very nice...what software you using? maybe I could give you some pointers or send you in the direction of some one that could brother... nice track I enjoyed the listen just need to work on that production side... keep 'em coming brother
hey bro! thanks for the words. I'm really glad you like it! I use reason 5 and Cubase with buit-in and ozone plug-ins to master, but I have no proper headphone yet to see the differences. anyway I'll be happy if you can give me some pointers in the right way. cheers
nice intro... I like it alot... a very nice track...all the elements are all there..I would have liked to hear more of that sub..maybe bringing it up in the mix a tiny bit might help that...other than me being really really picky ...this track works it brother...keep 'em coming brother
firstly let me say I don't do hip hop... but I was impressed... which almost never happens when I listen to hip hop...but I think this is well produced...would have liked to have heard a little more on the bottom end but I guess thats because I'm a bass head..nice track...keep 'em coming brother
Thanks for the review believe me your review is very important if not one of the most important mainly because you don't do Hip Hop and you were impressed...That tells me alot about the tracks direction right now...Original production was done by Lvino but since i am a bit pickey with my vocals i did my own version with. some subtle changes here and there mainly on the verse, plus i added an outro...thanks for the review...
some nice ideas here brother.... I thought I'd come back to this because I haven't heard anything from you in a while...I can't remember what I said the first time around but.... I like this it's very pop meets dnb very nice indeed ...for me maybe you should go back and see if you can ad to this because it does end abruptly...nice one ...keep 'em coming brother
I can't really add to this with half the vsts used now missing, and besides, I've been making more new tracks.. that unfortunatly have samples which I haven't yet cleared.
some really nice ideas here.. I'm loving that drum track with those glitches in there.. for me I'd have liked to have heard some more sub... it's a little too pendulum as it is a bit synth heavy but having said that I did enjoy it...keep 'em coming brother
some great ideas here brother... you set the sound scape up well...for me theres a few things amybe fx that could have been add to give it more texture and more interesting to listen all the way through... the production is good...all the elements work well together...really make you feel the track...nice...keep 'em coming brother
The saying goes.. a song is never finished... only abandoned. I understand what you mean about the possible addition of things FX wise to the track. But I think that the track sits nicely. Didn't want to overload and make it to heavy with much more going on. Good ear though. Thanks for the review and the listen.
some nice ideas here brother...firstly I would say those hats need to come down in the mix and your kick needs to come up... there is a general feel of lack of thickness to your drum track so maybe some layering would beef it up but having said that I do like what you've done with it...it drives the track along nicely...that bass line is nice but is hard to hear at times because of all the top end coming from your snares and hats...some nice ideas just a little thin at times...keep 'em coming brother
hey bro! thanks for your kind words. Thanks for the drum/hat adjusting advice, since I have no monitor to realize the slight differences. I'm glad you liked it anyway, and I'll try to update it.
cheers
some really good ideas here... I would have headed alittle more down the whole timpani road a little more maybe adding a little more atmosphere with a few sfx..and thickening those strings but never the less..good track....keep 'em coming brother
ooo... I really do like the original...this really has that whole clapton feel to it which I like ..the production quality is fantastic..humps helped you how?
firstly I don't really do hip hop as a genre..but having said that I did enjoy this... I dug on that beat brother...this is a well produced track... keep 'em coming broother
some nice ideas...it does get a bit repetitive and I would have liked to hear some more of that bass but thats just me being picky..nice track....keep 'em coming brother
nice very nice...I'm just being turned on to dub and this is exactly what I love about dub chilled beyond chilled..nice track...production is great ..loving it...keep 'em coming brother
nice...never been a big fan of rap dnb mixed but this works really well... I love the elements of garage you've added in maybe it's that that makes it work so well..I would have loved to have heard a bit of reese action in there but I guess thats just me being picky...nice track brothers... keep 'em coming
there are some good ideas here...for me the track lacked thickness throughout... your basses need to layered as does you drum track...don't get me wrong I enjoy the track it just seemed quite basic.. the synths worked really well though...
I see you use Reason 4...I would suggest you pop over to boyinaband.com that guys tutorials taught me loads...
some really good ideas here brother...loving the vibe...almost minimal..the sub is nice...I have no critic at all.. I enjoyed the track alot... nice to have you here at the loop... keep 'em coming brother
I'm gonna have to go with rollagee on this one the distortion is a little too much... I didn't however have as many problems with listening though...production aside I think there's just too many mixes in here.. there's like four tracks fighting it out in there and no ones quite winning if you know what I mean? anyway some nice ideas and I do like to hear a different take on this genre because at times it can be stale... so points to ya for that... keep 'em coming brother
