beautiful track, i kept getting goose bumps throughout the entire track, and wow when it changed direction, just wow... i just wow, cant describe you've left me very close to speechless on this one, very amazing track... you should make more like this, very powerful, maybe even get a few lyrics in there in later ones, not to say your tracks aren't amazing, but i think even the simplest vox would take it to a completely new level, anyways, great job on this track, it really connected with me on so many levels, i guess it kinda reminds me of my sisters
hey there Fay, thanks for stoppin in!! glad you caught the vibe of this track, it was something pretty close to my hart and had to find a vechical to get it out!!This is the wonderfull thing about music, it gives us the outlet we really need!! thanks again for your kind words
great job on this track, the melody is catchy and the drums really make me wanna freak out! i really like how you were able to bring it down but then bring back up just as great. fantastic track always seems to be climbing in intensity and i personally think thats important in any track fave
sick track, i cant decide whether i like piano or the bass more. even better is you kept it moving, it never got boring or drug out to long, great job, if your still up for a collab, send me an email and let me know what ya need
hot track! i love the beat, and the female vocals really level out the hardcore. very well done track, everything works together nicely and the male vocals really keep the intensity of the song, and the break down was really hot! awesome rapping really nice. this is definitely a song to play at the club or a party. one of the best tracks i have heard in a while, great job on the production.
Much much thanks 4 the listen and review, just now trying to get to grips with proper compression and mixing/eq'ing, hopefully when i do i can make it abit better. once again thanxs friend. Sour
excellent vocals, they really go with the guitar, and the rhythm is consistent which is always a good thing. i like how its a really mellow track, but there are parts where the vocals intensify without leaving the mellow mood. really great track, and again love the vocals, great job on this track!
i think the strings/choir is coming in a little to strong, but i like the original sound of this. i really like the drums in the background, but again it pushes it more towards a hiphop/rap kind of track. infact i think this could even go under a fusion. a little too short, but i like how it keeps moving, and the piano is very simple, but i think that's all it needs to be, this is a fairly well done track. level the strings/choir (i cant really tell what it is exactly), make it a little bit longer, and i believe this would be a truly beautiful track.
i thought it sounded pretty good, could use some more to it. maybe some strings, make this part the repeating line and i think you would be set for a full sized track. other than that though, any piano being played well gets me, but as stated before, would be great to hear a full track, as is i would probably say this is more of a loop/sample.
not really my thing here, but i must agree the sound is very well done, i love the piano in the background, the strings work well and the beat is on it. more importantly the vocals, i haven't heard very many rappers on looperman that sound legit but these ones really stand out to me, with some more vocals to fill the track, this could be a really great track. great job with the mixing, very professional sounding.
Thanks for the review, and thanks for listening even though you're not a fan of rap/hip hop, I'm happy you got some enjoyment of it. I think this was a very well-produced instruemental, a track like that an emcee like myself could have a great time with.
hmm... i loved the track, very beautiful. would go great with some inspiring lyrics... i love anything with strings, and my favorite instrument is the piano, despite my metal head-ism. so just those two things going had my heart melting. this would be a beautiful orchestra track but the drums change it into more of a hip hop/rap. which makes vocals all that much more demanding for this track, its so beautiful and well thought out. great job
i thought the into bass line was kinda sweet but then the second part to it didn't really match up with the first one. the track sounds good, however the guitar's are kinda everywhere, i think there's too many different sounding guitars. i also feel there's a lot of open space that could be filled. like the track just doesn't have a full sound to it. i would run the drums through the eq and try to get a nice "pop" to them. and since your guitar is you main sound i would amplify that, maybe add a few fx, to fill the empty space more. another thing you could do is put something off in the background. i would suggest taking something simple and make it wide (reverb, delay/echo) but then make it so it's there in the track but not so noticeable this would also help fill the track.
THANK YOU FOR THE SUGGESTIONS AND COMMENTS I WILL TRY TO MAKE THIS BETTER I DON T HAVE TO MUCH EXPERIENCE MAKING SOUND EFFECTS BUT I FOLLOW YOU SUGGESTIONS
so i cant say i've ever listened to Jordan Sparks. but i have heard of her. but for my first time listening to this song, i think it's amazing. your vocals are amazing, and the piano is perfect. my only problem with this song is very very very small, and i dont know if anyone else noticed. but when ever you get into the mezzo-forte and forte i can hear a slight distortion. it might just be the mic, but if you have a condenser mic you shouldn't be having this problem. if you do have a condenser mic i would recommend checking over your recording settings on your computer or the device you use to record.
but like i said, very very small. i almost didn't notice it at first. but over all great job on the song, and being that this was my first time ever hearing it, if i ever do hear the original version, im more than likely going to think of this version.
your vocals are amazing, lots of power, and it really brings the meaning forward. i know you wanna go for a trance type thing, i could maybe whip something up if i could get the vocals and piano separate... i do techno/dance when im not working on anything important or just want something fun to do. i make my own beats and melodies. so if you want i would love to help with this project, again great job.
i really like this, like really like this. its not overdone or anything, the background melody kinda reminds me of the windows start up theme. i think this would be the perfect beat for a classic sounding hip hop song. i mean it just brings me back to the 90's when music like this was about the people behind the music, and the stories they told and how easy it was to relate. now n days its kind of a lost art.
but back to the track, i think the way everything was arranged was very creative, and the samples work perfectly in harmony. great job.
thanx alot .... people really don't know that some comments really help cause were all our best/worst critics so i thanx for enjoying the track and i will try to bring the same feeling and definetly check ur music out
wow so i really like the intro, i freaking love string instruments especially when the come together so well. the beat is pretty strong even through my cheep laptop speakers, so there's an accomplishment right there. the beat does get a little repetitive though, and there isn't much to separate the sections from the hook to the other parts. the break down was pretty tight though, and it did add that relief of repetitive i was talking about. and you know i was wondering how you were going to end the song, and i was kind of worried about it all just stopping abruptly, but i think the fade out was very well played. this was a very beautiful track, i think my only concerns were, separation from the hook and the rest of the song, and the repetitive beat.
Thanks for the ingoing review. Thats how people learn and hopefully get better at the trade.
I know, I need to change the beat up a bit. Give it a bit more variation.
Thanks again for the review
Nice, thought i would check back in and see how your doing, i gotta say your music is the most distinct. you know you should make a couple demo albums and try getting signed. Your style almost reminds me of slipknot and That is pretty awesome. and ya know what ever your doing for recording works, its obvious you dont need expensive equipment to produce that unique sound. im really diggin your style man, its just so fascinating how you can fit all these things that don't usually work together so well. i know i've commented on your vocals before, and i gotta say their getting a little better, i love that distortion, and the beat that you got with it. i remember you said you weren't much of a singer, but what if you added some other kind of vocals to your tracks, growls, screams, whispers, and it would help you gain that extra depth on the vocals. my last comment though is that i like to remember the law "what goes up must come down" and your tracks are always so elevated with power, and thats not a bad thing at all, i actually really like it. but id like to see what you could do with a couple of 'breakdowns'. i bet it would just be sicker than sh*t!
anyways, nice to see that your still going strong, i'll try to keep an eye out for your next track.
Much respect, Fayz
ps. i gotta tell ya, you've gotta be one of my favorites here on looperman, i just love your style bro, well i gotta go make some more reviews, but like i said i'll keep an eye out for ya, peace
Cool. I agree with what you are saying. This music does not have a strong emotional element to it, not a lot of people walk around feeling this arrogant and high energy all the time. My goal with this has been to try and get the lyrics to sound cool and I agree with what you are saying, it could help to try and relate it to what people sometimes feel while continuing to do what I do. There is a lot more processing I could do but sometimes I get lazy. I should quit my day-job and do this all day. Maybe one day I will. Thanks for the kind remarks and Ill have to get over and listen to your stuff sometime.
haha im digging the opera voice!!! i've been trying forever to make a track with an opera voice in it, and its kinda hard for me... so kudos for you great execution. this is a very relaxing track, like something to Sunday drive to. i love how everything works together so well, and wow it just gets so much better as it progresses, this is a very fine track, i hope more people will realize this. again great job
Hey Fayz thanks a ton for your review! :) Sometimes its difficult to get the right mood so that Opera Vocs will work with it.
haha so do I! :) I've been wonderin' why no other comments but sometimes it just happens n besides its a recent upload.
cheers bro and thanks again. I really appreciate how you give me a bunch of detail and some real feedback.
haha yeah it started and it was like instant happiness, i just woke up so i'm glad this is the first thing i heard. i like the different organs that you used. i like how it's really happy sounding but has that darker under layering, and the ending is pretty cool, i like how you ended the song. very well done.
Glad I could make you happy with this song my friend! I'm glad it was the first thing you heard when you woke up, it's a good song for that. Yeah there is a lot of dark and light contrasts in this track. Glad you liked it! Thanks for returning the favour of a review!
Nice, i like the mood in this one, it's like something they would use in a movie for when someone's being all bad ass and what not. like seriously kill bill just walked into my room lol. but no seriously i fell in love with this track from the moment it started. the guitars are just brilliant, great job, and congratulations on your new job, hope everything goes alright.
thx man for taking the time!!
well, the new job is awesome, but almost no time left to do my own stuff ... too many new things to learn ... lol
peace, rei
wow, you never fail to impress, i could definitely see some vocals to this, very powerful stuff here. just listening to it, reading the title, and reading the description, my head got over killed with lyrics. great job, though as previously stated im not sure if that particular guitar works, i think that the idea of having a guitar in there is brilliant, i like the edge that it gave but there's just something about that one that doesn't seem to fit entirely with the mood.
Hey Fayz, thanks for stopping by and giving your opions on this! yeah, its is one of those situations were ya just are not hitting the mark on a tune, you try this, you try that and nothing seems to point in a foward direction. So I just fliped this off the Pc and posted it on good old looperman.I was not happy the way guitar was going down in the parts and just moved on with out frying my brain out ! lol! Reason why i moved it out of featured track and had the song on the bottom of the list! Sometime up the road a revised will happen here! thanks again guy for your kind words and keep creative!
aside from the filter, it really reminded me of Marilyn Manson at first, then when you hit the higher notes, it kinda reminded me of another artist that used effects on their voice. but really this is a really great song, im digging the beat, the vibes, and the vocals are tight. great track, excellent job, and i hope to hear more in the near future
Thanks very much Fayz. Marilyn Manson has been an influence on me, so it is cool that you would even mention him. I am trying to work on using less filters as I become more comfortable with recording vocals, so hopefully I won't be as dependent on the effects in the future. Thanks for taking the time to review.
no offense but i thought the voice was a little cheesy, you should try using your own voice if possible. the intro was a little too long for my taste. but other than that i thought it was a pretty good track. kudos for using your own material, that's a pretty long process, on top of arranging it all together, and then if necessary modifying some of the sounds. the break down was pretty sick, i like it, that part actually made me want to bust a few publicly humiliating moves lol, but great job one of the best house tracks ive heard on the site in a while.
I'm gonna say this real fast before i forget what I'm thinking, try shortening the intro a little bit, it got kinda dull after 10 seconds,(that's the average attention span of anyone listening to a new song) the wood block? idk but that instrument with the insane reverb, i like that, but maybe use a little less reverb. also i am huge on bass, and kick bass drums, my favorite part about any song are those two things, but i felt they were lacking power and depth. i would add that power and depth by mixing it up a little bit, i can't really elaborate much on that through text. but that repetitive "dun dun dun dun" is what really made me lose interest.
on a further note, i think the song was a little to short to be house, generally any song is three to four minutes long, and a dance/techno/house song is generally anywhere from four to five minutes longs, and i've known some to be longer. but for now try to keep it average with the duration and make it a little longer. the ending seemed kinda pushed together and i know alot of songs do it, and i learned the hard way, a crash isn't the best way to end a song, its like a book that leaves you hanging. another thing too that would also help with adding some more time, is that a vast majority of songs have what is called a 'hook' which is basically a part of a song that repeats its self, generally that part that gets stuck in your head and makes you want to listen to the song again, and again.
no that i think of it too, the whole track seemed kinda bunched together after it really got started, the part i liked and wouldnt mind hearing again is that section with the woodblock sounding thing. i would add some more to that and maybe make that the hook, and for a break down take that piece just as it is now with out anything added to it. another thing is try speeding it up maybe? idk. maybe if you spice it up, shuffle the beat a little bit and expand it out so it doesnt feel so squished together, you might not need to speed it up, as long as the track is filling.
and thats another thing, i've never heard a track like this. there are points in the track that it has a 'full' sound to it and other parts where it doesnt. but you'll be able to correct that with more experience. infact all of this is all fixed with more practice. i started off kinda the same way.
now i didn't just criticize your track for my entertainment. i did it because i wish someone had done it for me when i first started out. i learned just about everything i use today on my own and it took alot of time.
what i did to learn better, was to listen to songs, making sure i heard every little detail and made mental notes about every song i listened to. i asked myself questions like "why do i like this beat, how can i achieve that feeling, which instrument is usually panned where, how heavy are the effects... ect."
now if you want to make more dance/techno/house and you plan on following my advice of song analyzing, and comparing to y
Hot track! i love your style, your definitely gonna get famous if you keep going like this, the only small thing is that the vocals blend in with the background. it kinda sounds like its by fault of the microphone you used to record, or it could be intentional, idk. but one thing i do know, is you want those vocals to really stand out more, all you got to do to get that is to clean them up a little bit, after that i would say your home free.
again amazing track,
Thanks dude! Yes... my microphone sucks and I have lots of trouble balancing the vocals with the track because I am using headphones, my speakers died!!! lol... But I´m glad you like it.
Perfection at it's best. this is some fine work, though i expect nothing less from the other tracks I've heard from you. i would love to hear some vocals to it, vocals with lyrics that just really connect emotionally to the music. i love the effects that were put on the lead guitar too. everything just works together so perfectly, and i just love how you combined so many instruments that don't normally work so well together, but are in perfect harmony for this song. for example acoustic guitar with strings? i cant say I've ever heard those two working so well together. great job.
