school boy error Manuela, i will respond to your private tmro as your having a rest day, i got in my friends car and put LM on my phone and thought that wave file looks skinny lol, then i seen 5.03mb i knew straight away but my laptop was at home, sorted before i took my coat off when i got home :)

Right in your face for sure! As for the mix, Could just be looper itself, as the track in daw has no clipping or redlining, the highs are mixed high in general though. Thank you for the feedback and listen!

your just too bloody kind, thank Nik personally from me, its already changed and yeah its been a good idea the Discord, you supported the idea but also gave us question to ask ourselves about distancing, this is the proof in the pudding our home is LM we make collabs easier only, your input early on Manuela was important to receive and i will always remind everybody that comes along the same thing the choice is use this channel to collab and host on LM if not i'll take it down until i see it on LM, this is not competition to LM its a helping hand instead of uploading wanting feedback, then when you have finally taken the feedback and used it, no ones listening to the finished cos it been hosted too long and they've heard it, only the likes of us give comments on progress this just cuts out that messy bit :) and this is a prime example, i put up a track left sided my bad, i get a studio copy on Discord 30 mins later its up and everything was a breeze :)) if thats not a help i.......

Hi Manuela! On this particular song, the vocals were already mixed into the loop, and stem separator added a loud hiss for some reason. So this was probably the best I could get it to sound, with my current tech. Good news is I took the feedback from my last vocal mix and got some new software, I just have to familiarize myself with it. See, I do listen :)

Hi Manuela....I very much appreciate your kind words and thoughts about this track, it really was as simple as all the other tracks recorded using loops and backing tracks as the background accompanying music. I record using a tascam 8 track recorder and tc electronics pedal for tones and effects. I use wireless pickups for guitar and pedal connectivity and a fender 100 or fender 50 champion for the real wide open studio effect. I only mix and master 2 channels of sound to get the acoustic sounds and it works out pretty good. I'm an older guy so im not really trying to expand my guitar music or playing or whatever you would call it. Im happy just to do what I do and if folk like it then I'm happy....I do appreciate your words greatly and just intend to be a part of this forum

Ahh Manuela, funny story. After listening to my wife and feeling the confidence to put it out to you guys on looperman. A few days later I was playing it in the studio and she walked in and said, ohh is that new? And I am like no, I made that on Saturday...you liked it. Oh did I, yeah it doesn't sound as good as I remember..lol. Yes, I do listen to her, but sometimes I get moments like that as well. I may revisit it over the weekend and fix a few things (like the sudden ending) No perfectionism I swear..lol. All kidding aside I do think it's important to listen to many diverse opinions on the sounds. Good or Bad. as they shape what I do. But at the end of the day. I make the music for my taste. If you all like it too. Bonus!!!

So first off I am anything but a perfectionist lol. I made this song in less than an hour to just not lose my mixing mojo. I just bought a cheap German touch screen and added it to the studio PC. I Put on it Acid Pro's Mixing console and now I have a full-fledged mixing board I can operate the faders on the screen with my fingers. Game changer. Where I excel is in preparation before the execution. I have a library of sounds , textures and percussion. I went into this wanting to make a chill 100bpm song, started with a weird ambient sound that melded into soft funk. The secret sauce is the percussion. To keep you from being bored I mix up the percussion to add a new element after so many measures. I have also learned the right timing to elevate and bring down the mix's arrangement. The right timing for a crash cymbal,, where to add a synth percussion or a real hi hat. My fav artist is Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) He is a master along with Brian Eno of subtly adding sounds.

hi Manuela i only hosted it for 5 days before simply because i had a lot of tracks i was working then, you know that this jumped the queue, obviously it was always going to, it was always coming back, i love it, and my last effort needed work i got that wrong but i will revisit it and do it all again, my vocal chain was corrupted somehow, enjoy that Party and great news to share when your back, lets just say i now have a very special reason to host this again, wink wink

I'd be more than happy to if you are interested, I have all stems, I didn't allow downloads because I dont want just anybody to be able to download it lol. Just the right vocalist.
