Hey friend, thank you for the listen and kind words! The main idea was inspired by pre-dawn solo smoke sessions listening to Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley while writing... so it makes sense that it sounds like a mind freed! Until PJB mentioned Captain Beefheart, I can't say I'd ever heard an entire song of the group. Went out and heard some, and like the more recent stuff, and not so much the stuff from the seventies. I find most Devo pretty annoying, but maybe if I gave it more of a chance it would go better. I'm from the generation where "whip it" was a retro hit, and it got pretty annoying at the time... :) It's nice to hear that you enjoyed the listen. Hope you have picked up a download of the album. Thanks!

This is a very groovy piece, Lechina! It has cool unique style to it, somewhat techno, dance, retro and even a bit of Latin flavor all mixed into one. Keeps your interest throughout... Good job!

I quickly scanned some of your tracks yesterday, but didn't have time to comment, so will do it now.

You are one ass-kicking guitarist, my friend! I especially checked this track out, because I also did a cover of it back in 2013. I wish I'd have known of you, because I would have asked you to do the guitar track. The guitars I had were VSTs, which never sound that great.

Are you up for a possible collaboration? I work with two guitarist, now, but they are very different. I also work with Musicante, https://www.looperman.com/users/tracks/1216164 for a change up. My main instrument is drums, so maybe we can do something in the future.

This is quite a groovy track. It has a bit of a retro style to it, which really appeals to me. The synths sound a bit like the old Mellotron. I have a Mellotron VST (GForce M-Tron Pro) that I use quite a bit. Anyway; good job!

This is a very nice track. Love the vocals and the synth grooves. Good job!

I don't usually voice my opinion on how a member's track could be improved, but since you wanted an opinion I'll offer mine. Although I'm not a big fan of super heavy bass and kick drum, that's what the kids are going for nowadays, so maybe that's what you're going for, too. Other than that, maybe bring out the vocals a bit more.

This is quite an unusual track, but I really like it. Almost a bit of acid jazz in some parts. The vocals remind me of the old beatnik coffee shop poetry readings. This is really good stuff, Alex...Bravo!
