Fruity Loops does take a bit to use to it's full potential. I use Garageband more often than not and it's a very simple program to start off with and after you learn the basics of it you soon discover the unlimited possibilities of it! It's great. If you have a newer Mac computer I would recommend it.
Usually when i start building a track, I start with a drum loop. Create a vibe that feels right to you, with bass, snare and hi hat to start. After that incorporate sounds that fit that tempo (or change the tempo to fit the loops you are using). I feel like the notes in this are a bit off too - maybe it's just the order but it sounds strange.
Of course a Dre track! Piano covers that, love the echoing notes - they definitely help to carry the song. Awesome production as well. I could listen to this all day.
Oh wow. Totally diggin' the flow on this. The vocals made me giggle a bit at first, but that's just 'cause it surprised me. Feeling everything about this track. Lots of head noddin' goin' on over on my end.
LOVE the guitar work. Excellent playing. I always love beats where there's an obvious personal touch. Though I agree with the Philosofist, it needs a little bit more of a bang to it.
HUGE sounds in this one man. Keep playin' with it. I love what you've got so far. Really like the lead synth, the siren sound in the background and the snare rolls are on point!
