I would work a bit at the solo, make it more interesting. Not with additional notes playing but with more expression and maybe some noises (clicking, popping, slapping) at the guitar.
And it's getting boring after some times of listening cause it's always the same. if you could change something in the second half it would get more interesting. more focusing on the bass or so.
This track started as an acoustic actually. :D I have an eclectic collection of songs I have written. I'll post to give a feel for where my heads at. Thanks for listening!
Thank you Glocke. I am not a studio engineer by any stretch and I only fly by the seat of my pants when recording. After a while it is hard to tell if I am doing the right thing or not ....so, I just go with what feels good at the time and move on from there. Glad you enjoyed it.
Okey let's take a breath... couldn't do it the last 7 minutes.
This is real fusion. with sweet psych elements. nice!
Structure is great harmonics, everything.
It reminds me a bit on a free jazz vinyl I heard a time ago. Forgot the name. unfortunately.
And normally there is no space for a small frog like me to critize around, but the lead guitar. Technique is great, no discussion. But it feels like a lack of emotion here. I miss the personal participation of the player in this piece of music. Could also be, that it is so quietly in the background. I hope you now what I mean and do misunderstand.
Hi Glocke..thanks mate for your truthful review!..I hear what your saying, sometimes things work out well in the digital domain as in mixing and mastering and sometimes they don't quite...I agree with you and would have preferred a more upfront guitar presence..cheers Dave :)
But I think it would sound much greater if a RL Bassist would play it and not a machine.
If you have an oppurtunity that someone plays them real, it would really funk.
Normally I don't like electronic music much it's not personal enough for me. But this thing here just leeds my neighbours to rock too, it's great. I like it really much. It's this in your face feeling.
O_o mind blasting stuff! I'm not good with vocals but these sound really nice. But I'm not so bad with playin guitar and mr., you've got the tunes damn right. But sometimes you could play harder. MY opinion. Would give some spice. Sounds awesome! :)
much better guitar solo. ;) maybe some more phrasing would lead to perfection.
clean part as horrible as always, but this time I think I hear an improve, you get more tones right. ;)
just take some lessons, also on youtube are "ok" tuts for sinigin around.
guitar work is great. ;)
Actually I've noticed that too in the final mix but when I tried to play it with more expression the track would get unbalanced for some reason and either I removed two guitar tracks from the mix or reduced the overall volume on all of them 4, the guitar would sound a little drained... Guess I need some production lessons :) Thanks for comment!
Redo the clean singed part. it's horrible. you don't get a tone right... but screaming is great. ;)
and guitar sounds not as smooth as it should, It sounds like it's nearly your fastest tempo, so there are some dunno how to say, it doesn't sound so convincing. and redo the solo, play it with soul.
I agree with the fact that I'M not a singer XD... but i couldn't scream on that part XD I'll upload different songs soon, if Looperman let me (24 hours wainting).
lol for a bedroom recording session this sounds awesome. great quality! :) cool effects in here, the double voice parts are great. cool break in the middle.
sweet track, great production! :)
cool pop track. great voice and good arrangement, especially the two voice parts. everything else fits good together, nice text. not only because of the word coffee ;)
should be played on the radio! :)
geez, all the metal I heard today was filled with these digital stuff... nobody likes this old handmade metal anymore...
okey, enough howling. as always it sounds good. but (yeah, I know, the world hates me, nobody will do me a favior) do me a favior and kill the digital stuff! ;D
just kidding. glocke.
f*ck off! ;D that's awesome.
danke schön ;)
ich werd schaun, was sich machen lässt in sachen abwechslung ;) bin nicht der geborene growler und an meinen pig squeals muss ich au no bissl feilen ;)
feel free to critize? the base sounds like sh*t. and your playing is monosonic, this kills the beat after some time. the fills are good, it's sounds really minimal. in my ears more than dance, than funk. because some typical funk stuff isn't here. e.g. wah wah stuff, rhythm guitars, beat changes, a 2-4-phrasing...
but, it's a sweet like track. even it's not perfect.
Appreciate your time and review. I just put the actual whole song on there b/c that version was missing the melody line and other parts. I agree with you about the bass and am trying to take a new approach with a synth. Thanks again!
you like these tremolo vibes, mh? :)
the first classic guitar was great, could've been a bit more experimental, but gives a good feel. like the whole track, sounds solid, and has a great feel. I'm curious for the final result. :)
Lol you mixed the good ol' metal with chrystal clear, digital sounds. the riffs are sweet, also the arrangement. but it doesn't sounds like metal anymore... more like a track from need for speed. ;D
But that's what happen, if many people work on a track, it gets from everybody a you can hear everybody of you guys speaking out of this track. ;)
great job! :)
Well it doesn't hit my nerve, beeing cinematic. but the start with these deep sounds, and the dissonances is great, gives much atmosphere. and the the oriental drums. I love oriental stuff, and then you hit up some minimal sounds and so on... it's really well done. :) sometimes these squawking digital sounds disturb the feel, in my opinion.
thanks for the review...would be interested in what genre you'd have put the track in... the idea is to disturb ..but I guess that's the beauty of making and listening to music one man poison is another man's Mozart... thanks for the review
hehehe, if I compare some of ya stuff, with the stuff, when we met first... this got so much more quality, feel and everything that I believe it was weird how ya worked to get so much better in such less time.
you've got my compliment, great job here! more from this. ;)
first a sweet standard bluesy solo. then woohooo great riffery.
sounds bit like oldschool death stuff, I like most.
the recording quality is great, the sound great great, the arrangemend fantastic. and your tremolowork is freakin! :)

Riff work is great, sound very intense and \,,/ yeeah.
But this is normal metal, speed metal would contain more shredding I think.
All in all cool track!

but why did you some filters on your voice? would be much cooler with your real voice, hearing the breathing and the distinctive sound.
anyway, nice feelings in here! :)
