i like...anyone who can sit down and write a song about the man upstairs knows where the talent comes from. much props to you and this track. check out my track called the outside...i think youll like the message
check it out i threw a quick 16 on it with a freestle hook tat i just ran with. i had fun
NO NEED TO BUY NUTHIN OF MINE!!! i appreciate that though, the way i see it, god blessed me with the ability to play all these damn instruments, and the gift was free, so... ive never even considered the money side of all this. I do this for the love, i make my living off the worlds computer issues :)
Son that was sick i love it/this is what it's all about.(LET THE MUSIC PLAY).............DyeVerse's we at (World Music Screener's) thank you for rip'n the track the way u did /u got mad skill's.........put out your mix-tape a.s.a.p /I'll buy it
i like where youre headed with the track, the beat is thick and it pumps ya... the only thing i would suggest is (and correct me if i am wrong) but i would suggest having your verses memorized. to me, your delivery suggested reading off paper. either that or your lyrics become "instinctively" rushed cuz of the odd bass kick timing. if your verses are memorized then i would just listen and use either the snare or the high hat for timing. but i gotta give you props on the recording. alot of songs ive heard the vocals were the muddiest part. i could hear you pretty clearly thats a BIG + in my book. over all, i like your concept
sure send it to me, doing live drums, its too too damn hard to mic every piece test the levels and then record on your own, i will do live drums when i purchase the alesis pro dm5 electronic set so i can plug it right in and record. but i will lace some dynamic drums on it if you want
that beat beat is super nice, cant hear wat ur saying though most of the time. is that an original beat or did you pull it together from samples...i would love to lace that one
love the music..curious about the vocals though, i understand that vocals are the hardest part of a the mix but my question is.. were you going for the whole sounds like im singing thru bull horn effect? my my humblest opinion... this is taking away from the entire track as a whole. the music sounds upfront and decently leveled, yet it sounds like th vocals are in the back of an auditorium with to much processing on the signal. I would suggest using an effect like this on a secondary track and not on the vocals as a whole. one of the hardest things i had to keep remembering is that if you even suspect that its "too much" it probably is. especially for low sounds like bass, man thats hard to get right sometimes. i cant wait to hear this track with you voice present instead of distant and muddy... keep it up though, its a process
nice brother, has hit written all over u if you ask me. you have a smooth rnb voice that goes perfect with genre. the only suggesting i would make is...dont be afraid to level up the vocals. your voice makes this track but it sounds like youre singin in the shower with ur back turned to the mic.
this is what i would do:::
take the reverb off the vocals and apply smaller room size to the whole track after ur done. create 2 more copies of the vocals and pan one right 25 to 75 and one left 25 to 75. this will give it the wide stereo effect ur looking for in the reverb you applied. i believe this would fatten up your vocals and make this track superb.
you have an awesome voice...cant wait to hear it for real...much love
beats sick man, the only thing that i will say is you can tell its a free style and why is it always so hard for most people to record without bobbing their head?? lol track has heat potential though
Im glad you caught that. My mic is ish. Other people have hard time, being consistent with my microphone. I indeed adjust alot of the levels so he could be heard. He still murdered it though.
We both have written verses and hook for this beat. Just producer is awol atm.
Appreciate the review.
has a unique underground appeal which of course the underground houses true talent. i can tell you have a general idea of where you want to go as a producer, it will be cool to see what you come up with when you do an all original track..keep on bro
hell yeah bro!!! you gotta let me flow a 16 on this one, one of the most perfect beats i have heard. everything is present, made me start freestyling. let me know other wise im gonna play with it :)
duke this is what i like to hear /this is your (BEAT) AS OF TODAY./rip the track anyway you like, i would like to hear it when your done.thanks /(WMS)
LET THE MUSIC PLAY...........
MAN.... i was captured almost instantly when all the instruments came in, i love the guitar, everything about this track is pure. makes me wish that i was back there playing the drums with it though to give it totality. i can hear a full beat with ghost notes. DOPE DOPE DOPE MAn
sick!!! i love the pan effects had my head bobbin side to side without realizing it until i noticed the screen moving sideways lol
totally strikes me as the music for a video game in between level loads
This was the first song I ever did with Pro Tools once I switched from Sonar. I've been wanting to go back and do some tweeking here and there cause I didn't anything eq and compress.
love the idea for sure, but the beat almost disappears when the layered vocals come in. i love the BPM, its perfect for rnb. i would suggest bringing the drums more to the front too give it some pump
professional potential...question...did you purposely make the vocal track with a lo-fi filter or did it just come out that way? i would leave the track and cut it up. keeo it as a backup track and add another one without effects i think it would sound primo
i love it, you dont often hear an appregiator synth in hip hop and when you do its more of background instrument rather than out front. it does the beat justice and gives it a unique flavor. well done
yo, nice for being your second beat. i use reason religiously.
here is a tip, if you have a midi keyboard then when you load a rex file you can play it in single notes off the keybord making the loop "original" also get familiar as fast as you can with the redrum, you will love making your own drums. also as you add sounds to the redrum click the TAB key and the rack will flip around and you can patch the cables into the mixer one by one giving you more ability for eq"ing your mix
