What's up man. How's it going? Good I hope. First, don't worry about the dude that said you need more variation. He has this obsession with people's tracks having too much effects or not enough variation. Though I appreciate him listening to our tracks regardless.

With that out the way. Your mix sounds really good and clean. I'm so happy that you don't squash the crap out of it, which causes it too lose its dynamics and life. I understand that some producers want to make their mixes loud but there is a process to that without having your wav looking like a rectangle. lol

Seriously, this is really nice. I like songs that take you on a mind journey. Very relaxing. Keep doing what you're doing. You are on the right path.

P.S. Thanks again for showing love on my track as well.

Peace!

Hi there. I don't mind posting a comment but I usually do so after I'm done with the project. It's not a biggie but it would deter some from downloading this to help out. Besides that, I'm going to try some different drum tracks and I'll get back to you when I'm done.

P.S. Nice track man.

on Not Yet - Vocal Mix C by Spivkurl
Hey what's up Spivkurl. Wow, I never heard of a competition that didn't allow effects. That's crazy. I'm guessing that they are trying to push people's creativity.

This is really cool. I've done all sorts of music but never an Industrial track. I give you credit, my friend gave me FL a long time ago but I could never get into it. The program is amazing though. The demo songs that come with it are mind blowing.

The mix and EQing sound good. I like how the tension builds describing perfectly what you're trying to express. Nice work on the vocals as well. Thanks again for the comment you left on my page.

Peace bro.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yeah that competition was a pretty big challenge, for several reasons. Having to use only the effects within the sytrus plugin was definitely one barrier. There are regularly hosted competitions going on at the image line forum lately... the winner of the previous comp designs the new one, and they are all focused on some native FL aspect. It's pretty interesting to watch.

Industrial is something which I can't avoid, for at least the last 25 years. Much of my favorite listening is industrial or related. Hoping to be able to visit a concert later in the year, of KMFDM and Ohgr, neither of whom I have seen live.

Fl has changed quite a lot in the past two years, and it has turned a lot of people of from it. I welcome most of the changes, but it still needs more work on audio handling, plugin delay compensation, MIDI capabilities, etc...

I'm happy that you enjoyed the song and the mix. I appreciate you taking a listen.

What's up EYEDDYE. Upon reading this, I hope you, family and friends are happy and in the best of health. Loved the track. It kinda has a System A Down feel with your style infused. It's really cool.

For this style of music, I like the little imperfections, makes it more human. Back then, when I was recording a lot using MIDI, I used to quantize everything. I noticed that everything sounded tight but robotic. Eventually I learned just to quantize certain instruments and the results where obvious.

Keep doing your thing man, you guys are in the right path.

Peace man!

P.S. If you have stems for this and want the track polished a bit, just hit me up. I'd gladly hook you up.

on Bravery by tekmo
Yo, what's up again tekmo. I'm really glad that you're getting your mixing formula down. You are going to have your ups and downs, believe me. Be sure to have a book and write down some of the technics you use, cause in time you won't remember all of them.

This is really good. I can actually say it's perfect. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of monitors are you using? I rock with a pair of Samson RESOLVse. It's funny too, I was mixing for years without monitors and my mixes where coming out decent. But when I my got first pair of monitors my ears took a bit to get used to them.

Now I absolutely love them. Keep the music alive.

Peace man!

Hey man,

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely write down everything from now on.

Would you believe me if I told you that I mix and master with headphones?
I unfortunately can't afford good studio monitors like yours hehe. I mix and master with the KRK 6400 headphones.

Appreciate you commenting and giving me an important piece of advice.

Peace and keep producing, it will pay off one day!!

on Nick Stonestreet - Give you prod kittytrillah by kittytrillah
Hey, what's up again. This is a cool and mellow track. You should bring the vocals during the verses, they where kinda low. The chorus part was good though. The structure of the song especially the piano part is great.

One thing I do is work on a song, don't listen to it for a day or two, then go back to it. You'll start to hear things differently. Catching all the little things that needs to be fixed.

You should definitely take your time and finish this song. It's really dope. Plus the ladies will love it! :P

Yo thanks for taking your time to listen and comment on my song.

Peace man!

Very useful advices, thank you. And yep, I did as you said, now I really hear it better. So, we are working on the fixed version or kinda mix, sound will be increased to a new level I hope.

This is a nice track. I would lower the bell sound just a bit. Just a tad. I would ease up on the compression as well, when the beat drops the volume of the track goes down a bit. That's because the compressor if fighting to hard.

Just experiment with it. The Threshold is the key. In time you'll master it. Overall, the Eq'ing and mix down sound really good. Maybe we can collaborate in the future if that's cool with you.

Thanks for commenting on my track as well. Keep doing your thing.

Peace!

Wow, whoever this artist is, she has a great voice. Very soothing. It's too bad that she left the site. The track complements her voice really nice. I love the bass patterns and how you switch the bass sounds.

This makes me want to do a Dance track. It's been awhile for me. Really cool track man. Keep the music alive!

Hi there. First, this is a really cool melody. Second, you should change the 'You have to comment first before you download'. Some of us like to comment after doing a collaboration or remix. It just makes things easier. It's all up to you though.

Third, always provide a tempo. If you're serious about collaborating with people this is a must. For me this is not a big issue, but there are some people who might have trouble getting the correct tempo or rhythm.

I downloaded this track and I'll see what I can come up with. I'm trying to get more into the Rock, Alternative & Ballad Genre. So this is a good opportunity for me.

I really like your style. Keep doing your thing man. Until then, Peace!

on OVERJOYED by TuneDef
What's up man. You know, in my life venture I have been in and out of a lot of studios. I have met many great musicians, famous and not so famous.

One good thing that I have learned from them, for example. You have 2 different people come in with their demos. One is professionally done and the other one is not. Which one do you choose?

I will choose the one that has the most feeling and meaning. I wouldn't care about the quality. That can come later.

This track you have here has a lot of potential. I love the melody and message. In time your mixing skills will get better. If you ever need some help don't be afraid to shoot me a private message.

Peace.

Thanxx 4 taking the time 2 listen 2 my offerings, none of the beats I've covered are mine, I do create music also....I'm try'n to find my sound in the studio....here on the loop I tend 2 limit myself, simply because I've lost a lot. A few have offered true insight on capturing and rendering a clean vocal...but the majority just distance themselves instead of helping other, which is there porogative...hopefully my next offering will show more growth.......

Very nice song. I can hear that you put a lot of thoughts and heart into the lyrics. You should go to YouTube and learn about Eq'ing and compressing vocals. It will definitely help you make your vocals sit better in the mix.

It has helped me a lot with mixing and I've been doing this for a long time but I always learn something new everyday. Keep practicing and you get there man.

In the end, I'm loving the song.

Back in the day I met someone on another music site who used a Fantom for his productions. I was so impressed by the sounds, especially the 'Bass Sounds', that he was nice enough to render each Bass Sound that the Fantom had and send them to me.

To this day, I use them and sometimes merge them with the Bass Sounds of today. I absolutely love how they sound, especially on a high end system with subs.

Just by hearing this track I can tell you've been doing this for awhile. Sounds great at this end.

Peace.

Hi Vicky. First I want to say I hope you and the family are having a good and healthy New Year. Second, I want to say that I'm sorry I haven't been around to review your compositions more often.

Third, I want to say that your mastering skills are impressive. You have what they called "The golden ears". This is a beautiful piece. It tells a story without words. When you write something like this is means it came from the heart.

Thank you for sharing. Until then, take care.

Hi there. Well I haven't commented on anyone's tune for awhile here on Looperman. So I'm taking my time this week to go around and show some love.

With that being said, this sounds really good thru my headphones and monitors. I love the fact you kept the dynamics natural and not pegging at a consistent level.

There's just one small part where the vocals go a bit off between 1:40 and 1:53, but that can easily be fixed. Overall, I can hear a tune like this on the radio. Very moving and relaxing.

Until then, take care.

Hey what's up man. Nice flows. I don't know what kinda program you're using to record your vocals, but whatever you're using, you should put a High Pass Filter on them to get rid of the pops caused by the P's.

Besides that, this is pretty dope. Practice makes perfect. Don't let anyone bring you down. Until then. Peace!!!
