I used to give honest feedback, so there are many thing to fix here:
-Drums are too loud (but maybe is the dnb purpose) and almost bury all the sounds.
-The bassline needs more power (i hear it on start and finish, not in the middle)
-Treat the vocals: add 4:1 ratio compression, then kill the bass a bit and increase the mid just a bit too.
In any case: no variations, repeating the same lines (and the mono-tonal vocals too) is really boring.
Very good track, the vocals lead all the song through, but there's a lack of variations, maybe you can put some special or synth or something on this, to make ears not bored after just half song. Just my honest opinion. By the way, i really love how the sound is so pro-clear, i just pick some distortion on vocals in some spots (but it could be just my headset...)
Paz y salud.
My usual honest feedback: very good line for the music and the atmosphere but i hate so much that shreds you put on it. I find it completely pointless. But this is just my personal taste.
This is not Edm, this is a new unexplored wonderful way to make electronic music!
Absolutely love the choice to keep at a low level the drums (less love about trappy hi-hat slapping, but is just a personal taste, nothing wrong itself).
Thanks for the flowers Nicolo!
You make me a very happy man :-)
Its great to hear you enjoy it. I wasnt much confident as i cant stand listen to my own voice. ;-)
Hi Friend, in fact it is just a strange alchemical mixture of sounds. I wanted to achieve an effect of immobile chaos but at the same time in malignant evolution. Best wishes
As soon as I started listening, I thought "no, it's not for me" ... but then I still wanted to continue to the end, and I must say that it's not as bad as I thought.
The rhythm is definitely interesting, nothing to dispute about the mix / mast, which is of good quality as you used to it.
The only thing that didn't satisfy me completely is the arrangement, a little too minimal for my taste. I understand that it is the vocal track that guides the whole song, but also that has no significant variations.
I really like sax, it is an instrument that if well used is ... orgasmic!
Henry, your comments are always welcome, I'll explain why. You are a very observant and very sincere guy, so when I look at a comment from you on a song of mine I immediately think: good, I will get a free consultation lol
It's great to be able to count on an additional point of view, most people are a little afraid to be as sincere as you are, I include myself in that hehehe but your criticisms are always constructive. As for the arrangement, I saw the other remixes of the song and I wanted to do something a little more different, so I decided to bet on the percussions, and I think the sax lines break the monotony in a very interesting way, but that's the musical taste...
A big hug and thanks for the free consultation lol
It's a nice idea, but I think its development is incomplete.
First of all because the music in the background has no significant variations, then it has few outline elements. (but maybe that's how you conceived it)
Turn down the vocal track volume, it's too loud.
Also you have to touch up the volumes of the individual patterns, as they are there is no dynamism in the sound.
thanks for your comment. Yes it is incomplete.
It's hard for me to stick to a track and finish it. After 20 times listening to the same tune I get bored ;-)
I'll try to work in your advices, I think you are right.
Hello and thank you for your very flattering comment. The guitar actually sounds really good, it's the work of Discipline who is a high level musician in my opinion. I begin to be rather archaic, this year I was 52 years old and my children all outnumber me.
Thanks and a warm greeting
Tiny clicks and pops are audible on vocals... despite this, you create something wonderful here... live instruments, wich is heavenly good, super audio quality...
A technical listening reveals that the singer was "virtual"... but, about the general quality sound, the concept... i can just clean your shoes. Maybe.
Hello HenryPascal and thank you for the very gentle comment. You're absolutely right about the "clicks" on vocals... I think it's not only on vocal parts! I have to mix this tune again! And no worry for my shoes... I don't have shoes. Cheers and beats. Laurent
Well i invit you to check the original version one of this days. thx for your feedback about mix and master it's always a hard work and a real fight to be honest so i'm glad it sound well in a other space than on my home studio speakers !
