on Gangsters don't die by EseLucky
Not what I do either but that's a good thing. I don't think I've run into the Chicano Ganster Rap on looperman yet, so that gives it bonus points for originality. The positives of this track is that it is mixed perfectly (The vocals are loud and clear, drum loop is crisp). I also like the old-school vibe. Brings to mind some old Cypress Hill (i.e. "Cock the Hammer"). The only negatives (that aren't really negatives) is that you could add a bit more variety if the track is extended any further (if you plan on doing that). It's length, as it stands, would work great for an intro to your demo. Your voice sort of reminds me of Rey from the L.A. Hardcore band Downset. Personally, I think this is a great piece of work, but I am a metal head so I might not be the best candidate to review your tracks. Still, I'd give it 4 out of 5 on the aggression factor. A 5 out of 5 on the mix. and a 5 out of 5 on lyrics and the idea of the song. :D Keep up the good work, Bro. I look forward to hearing from you again as well.

on FILLMORE by RonGallagher
You play guitar in a style that most of the new generation of shredders seem to have forgotten. The power of a well done solo is unmatchable. I only wish I was blessed with that type of brain. I grew up in a time when solos were over the top and this one is wide fucking open. I'm attempting to download this now if my 56k doesn't crap out. Your fast becoming one of my favorite looperman artists. :D

Anchor,
Doing some maintenance on my profile and I found this very kind comment you had authored over a year a go. Sorry for such a delayed thank you. I do appreciate your encouragement. I understand what you are saying about the state of the extended lead. I know sometimes it can become tedious, but there are moments when it is pure freedom and a total release of emotion. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration.

on SEARCHING FOR YOU by RonGallagher
I grabbed my volume quick as well but I just wanted to crank this up!!! Almost pulls at the heart strings how you can make your guitar cry. It reminds me a bit of Satriani's "What Breaks A Heart" with a touch of 80's power ballads. Beautiful, man.

Missed out on thanking you for such kindness. I am back on Looperman and inspired by the support here. Thank you for your compliments. Apologies for the delayed response. Voltage

on MIGRATION by RonGallagher
I can see how this reached number one. A truly professional recording from a musician who's experience dwarfs mine. What amazed me most is that you used Acid Pro 4 for this. I own Acid Pro 4 and could never get anything like this out of it. Incredible and truly professional.

on right on top of every wave feat. calendar girl (+) by rei4real
Jimmy Hendrix said he was amazed how when people played his stuff they would copy all his mistakes as well. :D Obviously this is done to perfection. I agree with fiend as both versions are fantastic. You're a master of the guitar.

I've come back to this song so many times that I am trying to download it now. This is really such a great song, man. I'm not reviewing you again to get my tracks reviewed either (I took my tracks down). This reminds me of some of my favorite U2 songs. I can't stop playing it. This is the first track I've downloaded off of the looperman site. Excellent work.

on Walking with the Spaceman by spacemanjones
There's almost an Eric Clapton style vibe. I loved it. As for lyrics, that's up to you. I think it works fine without 'em though lyrics couldn't hurt the song. It's obvious that you actually play music. The arrangement is just superb. :D

Clapton is one of my heroes... it's a shame I didn't play any of those parts. Thanks for the input.

I think it rocks man. You seem to pay a particular attention to the bass and with good reason. You're a great bass player.

Sounds good. I just hope we haven't lost you to all that is good and holy. JK. Still, you're good at this type of stuff as well.

on Dj Pulsating Bullet - 1st Song by djpulsatingbullet
There's actually a lot going on in this track. Most younger people just set a beat and bass groove and let it play for 5 minutes so I gotta give you props on that. It's well composed and mixed decently. If I had to say something negative it would be that your cymbals are a bit too harshly mixed or just the wrong sound for your style. Just ease up on the high end of that crash a bit and I would say this is a perfect bit of electronica. Rock on.

Sounds good. Nice mix and a pretty smooth guitar riff. Welcome to the Looperman community.

on Lurking in the Shadows by Mokeone
Very unique. Nobody sounds like you, man. It's an almost creepy track. Laid back but almost like somebody waiting in the bushes to slit someone's throat. Impressive.

on Few Minutes Before Suicide by Corpse89
I love the riffs and the velocity of this track. Though my personal opinion is that you should leave out the keyboards and growl some really depressing lyrics over this. As always, Jani, good work on the aggression! Once I listened to your first track I knew I'd keep coming back. :D

on Metallic Raid by Defunct
It's mixed liked a death metal track (i.e. cannibal corpse). Most death metal musicians like to add that low end swell to their guitars. I think it's an excellent piece of music. I was slinging my head the whole way thru. It sounds a lot like Inner Thought. Very Canadian death metal. I like it! :D

on First Time by axgrindr
Strangely enough I was reminded of some of Marilyn Manson's more techno industrial stuff. I agree with mokeone on the vocals. Very professional. I've also been to your partnersinrhyme site many times as well.

on it's a nightmare by deamon666
First off I think this belongs more in the industrial category than in the metal one. Anyways, on to the review. The song sounds like all hell is breaking loose (i mean that in a good way). This actually has some potential but it's definitely too short and it's in the wrong category. Keep it up though. :D

I know a dude who does hip hop/R&B who is always looking for tracks. This stuff would be perfect for him. I'm gonna recommend it.

on down the rabbit hole by Mokeone
This track is strange but in a good way. I think that's what you were going for though. You have a unique style, man. I've got 56k as well so it takes me forever to download. Mostly I just listen and review. Keep it up man! :D

Nice use of the Saddam samples. Gives the song a eerie feel. I got a friend in the U.S. Marines that's over in Iraq right now.

on miss u by spyzuk
While I tend to go for more aggressive music, I listened to "Moments Like These" and you captured my interest. So I gave your other songs a play. This song's a bit melancholy which I like. Vocals are smooth and background vocals blend well. You obviously don't need MIDI. You play just fine without it.

Excellent, man. I was sort of reminded of Paul McCartney's (did I spell that right?) later stuff. Sounds great. I think the vocals work great with the doubled effect.

Nice voice, man. We have a club down here in Tennessee called the acoustic coffeehouse where people play nothing but this kind of stuff. Not typically my type of music but I like it.
