It's easy for stuff to get buried here on the Loop, with so many uploads flooding in on a daily basis. I love this work I hear. I'd love to follow you on Soundcloud, if you have one.
My thoughts? Liked it right away, the vocals at the beginning were a great choice and the low in the background feel to them is perfect. The music has a retro trance sort of feel. Music is high quality, with lots of change ups, though I feel the main synthy baseline could have changed a bit too at some points (though of course this is the structure of trance). Great track!!!
I'm still not feeling the drug theme or excessive language, as this seems mainstream to me (including the reference of women being bitches in some of your songs), but the flow of this is tight, smooth, and the words here are relatable. I can tell you took time on these lyrics, which I enjoy.
I actually really like the mood of this one. You mixed the vocals like a star! Not so lana del ray to me, but this has its own unique flavor. Probably one of the more professional versions I've heard using this pella! I know some musicians enjoy keeping the pella in the same order, but I would have liked to hear you chop this baby up even more, layered the crap out of it, and went off on a pella puzzle journey! I'm impressed by this though, it doesn't make me cringe which is unfortunately usually the case with many mixes.
Hey this flows really well. I like the way the music and vocals go together at that first "baby talk to me talk to me" part.
I realize my quick faulty fade in on the wooohoo part is a little off.
I enjoy the flow of this, but I think this needs more- not just being a drum and bass piece. Add some dubstep, go nuts! At first, the lines and melody are fresh and I'm caught up in it but as it goes on with the same thing I am no longer surprised so it needs to keep your listener better. More music!!
yep i agree more variety is needed after the breakdown, some halftime drumstep and a change of breakbeat and instrumentation may solve that, lyrics are smashing it to begin with and no mistake, just need to maintain that energy and flow...thanks for reviewing..will rework this one a little...it's worth it i feel
You almost lost my attention at that beginning. But then I heard your familiar sound at 44 seconds and was once again captivated by your work! Would love to hear you add more "Vitalic" sounding vocals.
I actually really like your vocals on this, has a funky intriguing vibe to it. I think the vocals are yelling at me though when I'm trying to enjoy the music so I might turn those down just a bit
Maybe the sensual thing come from the groove, the bass and the overall sort of edgy, slightly aggressive nature of the track, combined with the psychedelic elements and Eastern sounds. I'm not sure, really. The simplest way of putting is probably just to say "it's got some vibe".
The time I take over stuff really comes from the way I compose. I don't write these pieces of music in any sort of planned out way. As I said before, they mostly come from recycling leftover sections from previous tracks. If you want to hear the two sister tracks to this one (same tempo, same key, some of the same sounds plus many new ones), go to my Sound of An Unsound Mind page on Mixposure and listen to Three Miles Late and 28 Levels Above Top Secret.
I just keep jamming over loops I love and slowly adding new bits of playing, with a focus on using the more interesting incidental bits of playing that I didn't plan on doing. Because I cycle record over a loop, I have loads of versions of the main sort of riff I planned on playing, plus loads and loads of different fills and stuff. Then I take these and layer them up and start new sections with loops of some of the more interesting parts.
I just find it so easy with modern DAWs to add all manner of complexity and effects and carefully automate it all. When making a track, I have find trying out loads of different effects and synth parts and drum grooves. And then I spend ages thinking "Well, how can I fit all this in?".
I just keep adding things bit by bit and then use different effects and fills to get the transitions from section to section as natural-sounding as possible. So much detail makes for a complex mix but my aim is to make unique music that never fails to be interesting so I don't mind having to deal with so much information and elements competing to be heard.
Thanks again for taking an interest. I shall do more with your tracks though I currently have very limited internet access.

I can hear very a high quality performance in your work- as you said, you take time on it and it shows.
