Description : Hello again fellow loopermen and looperladies,
I have not recorded a new piece of music in a VERY long time. I was swept away into a different life. One that included caring for someone with a serious mental illness. That was not meant to last, despite the love that I feel inside to this very moment. For my own sanity and safety, I was forced to leave that behind. This piece of music captures the feeling that I have that relates to that experience. There is close to a billion guitars on this track and I have had a REALLY difficult time mixing them, but I love the places that it takes me. Admittedly it is a little bit redundant, but it was so much fun to play on and to record something again, that I got caught up in the vibe. If you close your eyes, you can totally FEEL the ebb and flow, the ups and downs. Thank you for peering into my reality for a minute. I can't wait to check out all that I have missed here in the past year.

Description : A friend of mine recently suggested that, in order to sharpen some of my musical skills, I try my had at some emulation. Well, in order to get that started, I figured that I might try and venture through some familiar, but very modestly different territory. What I envisioned here was listening in for a few minutes on an onstage jam session, circa '71. I did, quite literally, jam this one out. Both the rhythm and the lead guitar track are one take. The bass, which is slightly more intricate, required a couple of takes to get together. The drums are loops, and the congas I recorded in a couple of passes (3 tracks). While it is not exactly Santana, I hope that I captured the vibe and some of the essence of a great guitarist. Feel free to let me know how I did. Thanks, Six

Description : This is a track that began as a 30 second piece for a music library project that I was working on. As so often happens, I liked the mood and ended up going from 30 seconds to 90, from 90 to 3 minutes, and then finally to full length. I really like the music and the arrangement, but I am still working on the mix. The guitars, bass, keys and strings are performed by myself, the drums are loops. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Description : Part Two of a three piece song cycle that I have been working on since I first purchased Logic Studio. Again, I DID NOT WRITE OR PERFORM anything. I am merely an arranger, editor and producer of this music. I love all kinds of music and especially lately, have been trying as many different things as I am capable of. There is a unique and different challenge in putting together projects like this and the end result is rewarding in exactly the same way as if I had performed everything myself. Thank you as always for listening, I truly appreciate it. Peace and Love, Six

Description : Wow...I really like the way that this track came together. I have been putting together Christmas tracks for a few weeks now. I thought that Blair's vocal style would work well with a song like this. I was so right! It has a Leonard Cohen kind of vibe. There was some cracks and pops in the vocal track. I think that this actual enhances the feel of the track, which is old. I wanted to put some lead guitar in here, but Blair's vox sounded so good to me, I kept it simple and let his voice be the main piece of the puzzle. Thanks as always for listening. Let us know what you think. Peace and good cheer, Six

Description : This is my take on Louie Who??? which was created by BARACASA. I was listening to and reviewing some of her tracks and came across this one and really enjoyed it. In the description for the song is an invitation for other artists to make some magic happen. So that's what I tried to do. I was going for a Santana kind of thing, as the backing track seemed to have some of that element going on. Let us know what you think. Peace and Love, Six

Description : I know that it's early in the game for Christmas music, but this is easily one of my favorite melodies, period. It is a song that I have been meaning to record for years, and finally it's done. I started throwing around the idea of a looperman Christmas album with some of the members here and naturally Slap was the first one that I contacted, as I figured he would add something lovely and distinct to this track. I do believe that the results speak for themselves. Thanks as always for listening and here's hoping that you get some inspiration from it. Peace, Six

Description : This is a song that I have been working on with Slap for some time now (2 months maybe?), it is not completely finished as the lead guitar part is a scratch that I put down in one take. I have been meaning to clean it up, but I have also been waiting for some feedback from Slap, who I have not heard from in 5 or 6 weeks. I wanted to post it because I think it is gonna be a REALLY tight track once all the elements are finalized, and I was hoping to get some feedback from my crew on the looperman express here. So check it out and let us know what you think. For what it's worth, All guitars - Six, Bass - Six, Sax, Clarinet and flute - Slap and keys (first thing that I did when I bought the new keybord) - Six. Thanks as always for listening. Peace and love, Six
P.S. As this track is not yet completed it is not available for download yet. The finished track will be.

Description : I just recently purchased Logic Studio (thanks Planet!) and it is amazing! This is the first thing that I have done in Logic and it is an orchestral piece. Let me start by saying that I DID NOT WRITE OR PERFORM ANY OF THIS. Sorry for the caps, just want to be clear about my role. I sequenced and produced and mastered. The pieces were already in place, I just tweaked them a little and set the pans and effects to achieve the desired results. I think it sounds amazing, but obviously this is not my normal style. Always learning and reaching for something new is the goal. As always, thank you so much for listening and comments are always welcome and appreciated. Peace, Six

Description : I wanted to upload a track that I was, for the most part, disappointed with. I finished this track last night (6-27-08) and I feel that this one lacks direction and the production is so-so. It definitely could have come out better. I don't hate it, but it is, in my opinion, not on the same level as most of what I do. Anyway, I just thought it would be interesting to see what kind of reaction I get from the looperman community. I recorded this on Garage Band, the drums are the only loops. The guitars and the bass I play myself. Thanks as always for listening and comments are welcome, good or bad. Peace and Love, Six
ADD ON COMMENT: (8-19-08)
I have come to really like this track. Some seperation has given me a better picture. The overall sound is really good and my playing is definitely a lot stronger than it felt like at the time. It still lacks some diversity, but I am happy with the way it is. Thanks to all of the looperman express for chiming in and giving me your take. I really appreciate it. Peace, Six

Description : This is a 100% loop produced track. I do not play on it at all. I really wanted to do something jazzy because of listening to the great playing of Slap_Johnson and Psychotropic_Circle. Hence the title. I don't take this piece all that seriously and neither should anyone else. I just think it's a good groove. Created and sequenced in Garage Band. All the loops are royalty free. Next time I do something like this I will be playing on it and all the loops will be 100% looperman. Until then, thanks for listening as always. The great thing about this site is that it keeps pushing me to try different stuff. Thanks for that everyone. Peace and love, Six
