Description : I was browsing samples and, the first 3 or 4 samples were vocals saying; "YEAH" so, I went with it and did some George Duke Band style Bass.
I put "BassFace in the title. I needed at least 5 characters, plus it was really my first choice for the title so I used both.
Description : This track starts off with some Jazzy Neo-Soul then gets into some Funk with a Rock Space-Synth solo, then ends with some straight Neo-Soul.
So I won't offend anyone that's hardcore into Funk, I'd say this track is "Funkish"
PEACE...
Description : I wanted to do something upbeat so I thought;
"Opera", right. I have some Metal, Funk, Psychedelic, Opera and Weird in this track so good luck with a genre.
This is a re-mix, I wasn't happy with the sound the first time around.
I accidentally disabled the comments, sorry bout that
Description : I got a few samples from "Striking Daggers" for this track.
I decided to just let my fingers do the walkin on the title:). I figured QWERTy probably means something somewhere...
I imagine this would be classified as "Weird".
Description : Imagine you’re in a smokey whole in the wall Blues joint on the Westside of Chicago.
The last band takes the stage.
it’s Grandma Throwdown aka Grannie Guitar Watson.
She has the Guitar slung on her back and with her grandkids backing her up, they
get the joint jammin!
Description : I wrote this track about two years ago. I remember at the time I wrote it I was having conversations with BofD and Mark about oddball time signatures so,
I played all the instruments in different time signatures from time to time 3/4 4/4 5,6 &7/8 etc. I wanted this track to be a track where time sigs went to die.
Description : First I'd like to give a shoutout to The Striking Daggers for letting me use some of their acapellas.
This is my first attempt at Hip/Hop/Rap.
I apologize in advance for anyone who is hardcore into any of the above Genre's. This is my interpretation of this type of music.
Description : I was writing another type of track and this "Spoken Word" I ran across kinda hi-jacked the track. At least I'll have the Genre right this time.
Description : I played all the instruments on this one with the exception of the Vocals (hence the ish).
The Genre is your call, I can't keep up with them. LOL. I really enjoy playing with myself (that didn't come out right).
PEACE...
Description : When I heard "Chameleon" by Herbie Handcock back in the 70's I went to one of his concerts (it was great) and from that point forward I knew I wanted to learn to play Keyboards. This track uses the Bass from that track (sort of). I apologize in advance if anyone out there is a hardcore Handcock fan, this is totally my interpretation of the track. PEACE...
Description : When I finished this track, the sound of it reminded of cruising through downtown Chicago at 2 or 3 in the morning after practicing all night. The memory of the music echoing off the skyscrapers seems like it was only yesterday (1975). When I finished the track, I asked Mark to do the Drums and of course he showed up and blew up as he’s known to do. He also Mastered the track.
Description : This is my attempt at akinda sorta Chillout track.
So that no one that's hardcore into "Chillout" will be offended, I say it's "Chillish.
Description : A co-worker heard me playing a draft of this track. He said it would be considered "Dirty South Metal" where he comes from in Scotland. He plays lead Guitar in a "Heavy Metal" band here. He also said I was; "a in the closet Metalhead". I assumed that was a compliment so I said thank you(I think, LOL). I'm not 100% sure of the genre. In my opinion its Psychedelic for sure but, I figured "Metalish" is close enough.
Description : This track reminds me of the choir marching in
through the church congregation, singing and clapping to songs that got everyone pumped up and primed for the Minister.
It was always very festive.
I needed some "Funky Guitar"and Micky came through for me.
I also got some sound Sculpting help for the Drums
from MT77
I appreciate the help I got from them on this track. I learn something new from them every chance I get.
Description : I guess now I can be officially considered a weekend Warrior.
It's been a while since I've been on LM.
I've been working on this track for a while.
I got the help I needed to finish this track from "Micky", who wrote and sung the vocals.
Description : Xstokes suggested a while back that I should use Psychotronicartfunk as a genre. I don't know if this track fits but... I might say a hybrid Dub/Neosoul genre. I just listened to a track from my Musical Sensei 50+ years of learning music from him (Kingmt77)"Power Play" it's hot as hell. I'm glad he finally decided to start posting some of his tracks.
Description : Bringer of DOOM sent me this track about a year ago.
(Shoutout to BofD one of my favorite musicians on LM).
I was supposed to put Keys and Synth on the track, I also added Vox.
Be sure and check out the lyrics link for how I Disappointed Crucethus
Description : I started out making this track a Vocal track, then it turned into a Chillout track but, now I'd say DubJazz, PsychoFunk or Weird. You be the Judge.
Description : I wanted this track to have a "Live" feel to it. Micky came through for me writing the name, lyrics , sang all the vocals and Mastered the track. The only loops are the Audience.
