Description : (updated from tiesto-ish//sorry if you listened already) Well none of the music. Just the name and description.
I did this to dedicate this to my cat Ashley who suddenly passed away of a heart attack a few hours after I made this song. EVERYtime I hear it I picture her sad face starring at me while I was obsessing on finishing this song. I spent all day on it and had neglected "our time." I felt so guilty about it and have been so torn up. When I hear the part with the chants at 3:30 mins, it makes me think of her spirit joining the rest of the universe in a new and profound way. The indian chants and the way i scored the keyboard was just so emotional and ironic as well. She was a very kind soul. I miss her. So this is for her, Ashley "Baby Girl" 2002---5/6/2011

Description : So sum of you may remember my "Me Scratching on Turntables" from before. This one I made so that the scratches produce it's own song, sorta a chorus and verses. As with the first one, I threw in some quick vox fills from battle-scratch albums I have to add sum flavor.
I Used Torq on external mode, which has timecoded records for turntables. You can play digital audio threw analog needles on turntables...
Here's how I did it:
1. I made some separate beats, layered them.
2. I recorded sum sine waves
3. I scratched them using Torq. I used pitch up and down on the turntables and the tago switch, (line/phono switch which works as a quick cut off and on) for specific sounds like the choruses. Sometimes the turntables would be off, (not power just platter) which gives a unique sound as well. I also scratched at speeds of 33rpm, 45rpm, and 78rpm- giving unique sounds of course. I also scratched with the fader on the mixer; both fast cut and loose cut speeds.
4. Once I was satisfied with what I had done, like making harmonies with different pitches, I simply layered them and panned each one at different angles.
It was fun to do. I hadn't planned on producing anything. In fact I was only practicing for a song with simmerdown. Poor guy, He's been waiting patiently!
So.. hope you enjoy it and feedback welcomed.

Description : This is me scratching on the turntables. Yes turntables. That old device once used by many. I noticed people had been talking about scratches lately, and I had planned on making some loops in the future... This a beat I looped and added some acapellas here and there. I haven't scratched since 14 months ago so be gentle, I am 64 years old. It is 192 kb unfortunately to fit. hope it sounds ok. I hope u enjoy it. I had fun doin it again. This is a battle style scratch. May do some more chill scratches in future. Talk to me.....djquickrick

Description : WARNING: THIS PARTICULAR SONG MAY MAKE U DEPRESSED!! Sorry but it's true. But that's how it was back n the day for a bit. A VERY personal song. I was feeling the guilt and shame from some of my past. I decided to change old ways. I would drive listening to this and think I gotta do better! On the bright side that's why I found Looperman and made this track, close to a year ago.
(Needless to say I didn't know about frequencies, ducking, limiting, etc. to make it louder and clearer. I know, the voices could use some lining up too.)
I wanted to share it with Looperman anyway. ..Props to an artist formerly known as Pianosounds at the time it was made. He now goes by the name Minor2Go. A true contributor. It's his piano and I believe choir. Thanks to Looperman
Peace from Chi-Town
