Description : Here's another TinySong(TM)(R)cPatentPending.
This one's about the fact that no one in my family, sadly, understands the importance of trailmix, although I have tried to teach them.
The three people mentioned are my grandchildren.
The only music besides my voice (which doesn't really qualify as "music") is the drum loop looperman-l-2865992-0218622-90-we which is repeated twice plus a little snippet for an intro.

Description : Another TinySong(TM)(R)(c)
The idea is to use only a drumbeat for music, in this case looperman-l-1581687-0201879-2nick8-i-m-fire-beat, which is repeated 4 times.
And then on top of that are my heartfelt vocals.
I've made several of these TinySongs on food, because food is very important.
I made it for my grandkids but I'm trying to treat everyone like my grandkids from now on, so I hope you like it.

Description : When our ancient ancestors migrated out of Africa (which probably happened several times), it was likely driven by drought. I tried to imagine that in this piece, using the fantastic trap track, looperman-t-2047901-0201182-barley-grass-contender, unmodified, as the musical template.
The DAW I used is Audacity (not in the list).
It's fun to imagine history and I hope you enjoy this attempt.

It's great fun for me to overlay lyrics on fantastic tracks like this. I hope it's not too painful to listen to.
The DAW (not in the list) is Audacity. That's all I've ever used at home. (In studios it's always been ProTools.)

Description : In this song I imagine life 30,000 years ago. I'm fascinated by this stuff and so made a song about it, based on the trap track, looperman-t-3188221-0207457-beat-hiphop-crazy-siren-part-2, which, unchanged, is the scaffolding for these lyrics. I've written many "normal" songs as well -- verse, chorus, bridge constructions -- but there’s much in this world that just can't be contained in that format. Very curious what people think about this thing. (The DAW was Audacity, not in the list.)

Description : A silly little weird thing that I can't help feeling fond of, like Linus' ratty old blanket, because it makes me smile. I recorded it eons ago, on a stenographer's microphone no bigger than a pencil. And it sounds like it but that's ok for this piece (I think). The music is loops and bits and pieces of loops. I hope it makes you smile, too, or at least not frown. Cuz then you'd be a sad angel. The DAW I used was Audacity, not in the list.

Description : I enjoy finding awesome trap tracks and using them just as they are as the foundation of a song. That's what this is - a single trap track with my pitch-lowered vocals on top of it. Description : I recorded this a few years ago with the great Sunny War on vocals and guitars, but recently I chopped it way down by taking out the front part. I think I like it like this better. But, as in everything, I'm just not sure! (Don't know what genre to call it, it's not "pop" really but maybe "blues pop" or something.)

Description : A song I wrote and had recorded some time ago and then just revisited and shortened by cutting off an unnecessary front part. I wrote the song and mashed up the loops and the vocalist is Arthur Granquist, recorded in Florida. I'll call it "hip hop" because I don't know what else to call it; any suggestions would be welcome.

Description : Five years ago I recorded 55 songs with a great singer and guitar player named Sunny War in a five-and-a-half-month fever dream of musical creativity. Now I am finally getting this music up onto Spotify etc. What's taken so long? Damned if I know. Maybe it's all the 5s. Anyway, here we are. This song was too long so I trimmed it down a bit and now I like it better. But very curious what y'all think.

Description : I found this vocal from Ratsouk to be ethereal and deeply moving. I had to download it and run my fingers through it and roll around in it and lay it upon a heavy beat. This piece is what happened. The music makes me cry pretty much every time, and, for me, that's a good thing.

Description : I love looperman. Without you, I couldn't make music. With you, I can do wonderful things. Because other people do most of the work and I just bring the pieces together. And what pieces! I am focusing of late on setting some of the amazing female acapellas on this site to music (mashed-up, as is this, entirely from looperman loops). This vocal is astonishing and beautiful. I just tried to put its full brilliance on display. Made with Audacity.

Description : I wrote this song some time ago when I was living in Florida. It's even more true today.

The idea musically was to take some rock and some bluegrass elements, mash 'em up and see what happened.

Description : Recently I found myself imagining this scenario and so wrote a song about it. The orchestration is just a few loops by rasputin1963, levinu1, hbsamples and the great sax break by ferryterry. Written and "sung" by me, in my noisy living room, mixed with my free, open-source pal, Audacity. Hope to know what you think. Thanks!

Description : I stuck 2 loops together (Inferno Drums by MansonProductions & Old Wax Bass Tracks by TheSavage) & had a killer groove that demanded action. The song structure is two verses separated by a HUGE bridge (ferryterry guitar, piano by sushilbawa & mmilka, strings by wildsistern). Sung by me, recorded w/ little microphone in noisy living room & mixed using Audacity. Please let me know if you like it or hate it. Thanks.

Description : I wrote this song for Sunny War to sing and the blues great brought her guitar as well. It's one of my faves that we made together, and we made a big pile of them. It's far from perfect though. There's a rhythmic glitch at one point that we couldn't figure out in the studio. And 4 musical breaks? What was I thinking? The song is a meandering river of melancholy, taking its sweet time. But I love it anyway, problems and all. Sunny's guitar and voice, as always, transcendent.

I went about as barebones as you can go. The beat is one loop from cellocubano, unvarying, and that's it for the music. The rest is layers of my vocals - strange, for someone who's always despaired of his voice. Fingers crossed.
There's no chorus - just the repetition of one line (the title) embedded in the verses.
So yeah, I'm in the middle of a life reset... Just hope I get through it.

Description : I think of this as "melodic talking" rather than "spoken word" or "rap", but I always struggle with what to label my stuff. The music is drum and voice, very basic. Mixed using Audacity (not in the list).
Look back to your forebears, look ahead to your children and their children, and that - that chain of generations - is your river - of life, of DNA, of blood. It's a potent metaphor for me and I keep trying to capture it in a song. What do you think of this one?

Description : Ever wanted to build a monument for love, like the Taj Mahal? That's what this song's about. It's another case of less = more, production-wise. Was heavily orchestrated then I stripped it down to basically drum & voice, which I'm doing a lot these days. Back to basics. Loops remaining are from leosmg, LankFrampard, CosmicRayBeats, dxedlxrd, Travis Scott, BlackMansta10, SoleilxLune and Centrist. I wrote it, sang it, recorded it in my noisy living room. Thank you.

Description : Haven't posted in a while - good to be back, launching Citizen Mofo v2 with this new song... part of an album called "Love Love" I've been creating for a few months. It's about the love I have for my kids and grandkids. We can't all save the world but we can all love our family - and that's what it means to be a Hero of Love.
