Description : This song is almost made step by step on vocal phrase track. In fact, the indy wave was totally rearranged to fit the harmony by pitch corrector in Acid. Some chilled loops helped to get a groove without too much effort, and that's it: a mix of afro/N.Am. as a total brand new experience for me. Enjoy!
Description : No melody inside... just another groove
Played on JunoStage, edited on MV8800. Drum beats from X50 selected and sync with Arp & a back from DR (original patern)
All by MIDI router Edirol
Description : This song was written 10 years ago. Kind of smooth clubbin'. Two beautiful girls called "2ice" + 4 hours in my studio, that's it: warm again. Pieces of song was coming "on the fly". Live matter isn't so bad, after all:). Enjoy! Just tell me if romanian language sound "grey", or shoud I say... tricky
Description : Oh... what a night! The lyrics were made step by step by all four members of the group. We've never played R&B before. Same for 2ice. So we just said: "let's do it". And we did. The idea came up 10 years ago. One home studio, 6 enthusiasts and that's it: an unforgettable moment. Enjoy!
Description : Kinda smooth fusion in fact. The harmony verse and the melody was thought in "reverse mode", while the chorus made "directly" got some "surprised delay" through pre-prepared 2bars 2/4. Why? Why not:) Enjoy!
Description : This track is mostly tribal. Afro style & jazz are mixing somehow with contemporary (pure 2/4) tribal groove. The harmony is all over chromatic (easy harm. influence Jamiroquai - "too young to die") as the colors of savanna and the jungle. An experiment of an old hunter for new grooves. In contrast, pentatonic at bridge, picardian, mode: t-t-Tm-t with chords of 6/7 split to dominant bass under 6 and 4/7, and so on. I used: Boss DR 880 (several original minimal patterns) joined with a sub-bass, Roland MV8800, Roland Juno Stage (full expanded), Roland 1824, MIDI Sync Router Edirol, some original arps, and a vocoder. The rest is another white night:)) Enjoy!
Description : This 125bpm fusion (jazz&house) track is made only from loops derived from LoopsProducer (just nearby). I made only a new multitrack arrangement in Acid and SoundForge oversampled. The beauty of such a MIDI or sound bank data is that anybody (with a little inspiration, of course, and some sample work) can arrange the same musical idea in hundreds of ways. Here is one of them. Enjoy!
Description : The "battle" between chilled loops and house loops is just another false reason for me to learn more balance in the deep space between the two styles. Thoroughgoing study and an experience.
Description : For this song I used New Ethnic World Bank, Nexus 2, Acid, SFor, Fx, Sampler Roland MV8800, Nuendo 4. Except for resampling, I must confess Acid is one of the best tools ever build. The 3/4 family (6/8;12/8 included) afro traditional is very close to NU modern style. As for the story... well, sometimes even some short samples for a sound bank is enough:)) If resampling, try only 129 bpm, 208bars. The rest is can-can, as my last white night. Enjoy!
Description : Live played. Added reason track and remixed. Recorded at my studio 10 years ago. The song is about "forbidden" love of 2 woman. It has also a videoclip with adult content, but unfortunately on this site I can't upload the images. Enjoy the rest
Description : It is a song about a broken love, like a run from your shadow. Based on chorus mostly on 11th chords, alternate with some m7/-5, or 7/-9 everything goes to 11th again as an obsession. For Coda I used different chords on unmoving bass suggesting the unwanted fatal mistake.
Description : This track was made with Roland MV8800, Roland JunoStage, Korg R3, Korg X50, Boss DR 880, Reloop. Except Reloop, everything else was sync by MIDI Router Edirol, and recorded at Roland 1824 multitrack. Mastering Pst 3 on R-8800 after re-sampling, adds some funny pan&Fx, and that's it: booster to the groove. Enjoy!
Description : Remixed with Ibiza mix, re-sampled with Roland 404 Sx, added paterns & organic groove pre-loaded in Soundbite Pro Loop sampler, all sync by MV 8800 and Doepher. Enjoy!
