Description : Jazz funk band I run when I have time with the musicians from Jump the Q. recorded live in the studio. I used an envelope filter on the sax to get that funny sound.

Description : More of a pop song than a blues, but there's no genre for pop so blues it is. Full band recorded in the studio, it's a good bouncy pop song(nothing wrong with that). Hope you enjoy it.

Description : Slower funk song than the others. Recorded through a line 6 tone port ux2, mic setting for the horns, preset bright and clean, this I find is the best to keep them nice and crisp, enjoy.

Description : Recorded in ableton 5.1. Drum loops by Sonic foundry, Slap on the rest, the title comes from the soprano holding a note over the tenor solo, count it out and let me know how long you think it's held for.

Description : Fiona sings it from the heart on this ballad track. The song is about not saying how you feel about someone for fear of being rejected. I had to use a yamaha Qy300 sequencer on this ( no band around when the idea hit), recorded onto a yamaha md4 track, then I over dubbed live piano, then a screaming alto intro and finally Fiona's vocal.

Description : Saxophone kicks this song off then a great intro from Kev Eland on the trumpet helps create the last post feel I was looking for, and a nice bit of snare drum from Jon Chapman adds that milatry flavour. this song is about the break down of a relationship and how it usually turns nasty, but then your faced with starting again hence Stand alone, picking yourself up and being strong.
Slap on piano and sax, Fiona Wood on backing vox.

Description : Beautiful ballad ,Fiona singing from the heart as always, Slap on piano and vocals, over dubbed sax solos from my trusty selmer tenor and some low and high strings for effect. I used a few different music boxes in the intro to give a haunting sound, and a loop of a child talking to finnish off the scene of innocence.

Description : Same line up as Hot cold and recorded at the same session as Lover. Live take with brass over dubs. Slap on piano and lead vox, Fiona adding those backing vocals.

Description : When the shit really hit the fan! A song of hope when the whole world turned black for my mate and his family. Slap on piano and vocals, piano and vocal recorded live, then I dropped some strings high up at the end of the song to add the feeling of hope.
Have some tissues ready....

Description : Full live 6 piece band recorded in the studio, Fiona Wood on the vocals. It took a long time to get all the levels right, but I hope you agree the result is pretty dynamic, this is take two.

Description : This track does exactly that! Instrumental rock/jazz tune, simple harmony section from the horns at the start ( alto, tenor & soprano saxophones) then it's down to the fun part of the solo's. Guitar and bass recorded through tone port using the preset sounds, listen out for the percussion, it really adds to the song...
