Description : This song has been driving me insane for 3 years. I've demoed it several times, each with a different approach, yet it's true form has always eluded me. Last time I had a go, I think I may have uploaded a version of it to LM about a year ago. Thankfully I feel that I have finally cracked it.
This isn't the final version, so please let me know if there's anything you think I should tweak in the mix. Thanks for listening :)
Description : The best way to deliver a heartfelt apology? A rock ballad in 3/4! Not terribly original, but the vocals were all done in one take and the experience has been very cathartic for me.
What do you guys think? Feedback is greatly appreciated.
Description : I've always wanted to make a track about how it feels to suffer from anxiety. On days when everything seems so incredibly overwhelming, it seems that the mind becomes a manic, unwieldy, crunching machine that doesn't want to stop.
I can honestly say that the song in itself has caused it's fair share of anxiety, with over a hundred homemade samples it's been a difficult beast at the best of times. Anyway, it's here now, please enjoy.
Description : This is a very personal song that I wrote about 3 years ago. I've tried to record it a couple of times, but it's never quite worked. But I think I've pinned down the sound this time. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : So I've been a way for a while, completely at a loss for creativity.
Then last week I was reading through my old notes and found a four line poem scribbled on the back of a page. A week later this happened (Whoop). Hope you like Sci-fi :)
Description : A kinda chill out, hip hop track that I created a year ago and didn't finish mixing for some reason. Thought it was a shame to waste so I thought I'd finish it up and share with you guys. Let me know what you think.
Note: I think I got the beat from LM originally. I've chopped it up a lot and changed the tempo. But if you recognize it, let me know.
Description : I had a lot of fun recording my last folk song, so I thought I'd take a stab at recording another one. This time I limited myself to 2 for all my vocals and instruments (guitar, piano, ukulele and organ). Enjoy the song and leave a comment letting me know your thoughts :)
Description : I've been in a bit of a musical funk lately, so I worked on this a little bit at a time, building it up. I kind of wanted to capture my frustration and the hope that I will break back out of my shell. Let me know what you think.
Description : My Dad found his old 8-track recorder. I think he was going to ask me if I was interested, but I was already half way to my room with it and a new song forming in my head.
This track is more of a straight-forward folk song. The opening is completely recorded on the 8-track, so it's a bit more lo-fi. Then the track kind of opens up into a cleaner chorus. I hope you enjoy my little experiment.
Description : This track acts as an instrumental segue in the final part of my album The Obelisk.
The protagonist is shown terrible visions of the fate of galaxies that have been surrendered to The Hand of God.
I 8-bit crushed the sounds of real explosions in Aleppo air attacks to make the kick and snare.
Description : Part 1: The world is devastated by storms, there are few safe places to live. To make matters worse, a dark, foreboding obelisk has appeared in front of the sun. All we know is it transmits a message saying "this galaxy is ours". Our main protagonist - a scientist's foolish, young son - steals a spaceship with his friends and attempts to meet the problem head-on. But things don't go so well.
Enjoy! And let me know what you think.
Description : So I've been watching waaaay too many videos about monsters of the deep ocean. So it seemed only natural that I used this theme as a basis for a song. It's kinda got a modern rock sound, so I went with that as a genre description. Please enjoy!
Description : So I've been working a lot lately and haven't found much time for writing and recording. This is something I've been working on in little pieces where I can. When I started writing it, I decided that I wanted to make something that could be a closing track for a concept album. Let me know what you think, comments are very much appreciated :)
Description : The 3rd track from my sci-fi concept album The Obelisk.
Here we are introduced to the antagonists. An invading army controlled by The Hand of God. Using The Obelisk, these invaders can heat or cool the Earth at will. They can save us from global warming or freeze us all to death. Do we bow down or fight?
Description : Part 2: Our protagonist escapes the exploding ship just in time. Spinning away in his escape pod, he witnesses the debris being sucked into the void that is The Obelisk. As he laments the loss of his friends, his hope slowly wanes. Until he hears a voice of comfort and warning.
Please enjoy and let me know what you think.
Description : A piano lead rock song that I've just finished mixing today. I know I only just posted a track yesterday, but I'm pretty happy with the way this track turned out and wanted to share it with you guys and get your opinions. I hope you enjoy listening to it. Download is available.
Description : I thought it would be cool to do a fun song for Halloween. The lyrics are delightfully cheesy. Sorry for the rough vocals I haven't been singing much for the last few months, so I'm a little rusty. Also, I put it as pop because I'm terrible at labelling things. Hope you enjoy and Happy Halloween! :)
UPDATE: Tweaked EQ and new compression on Vox.
Description : A very melancholy, kinda dub, slightly cinematic song I've been working on. Excuse the vocals, I have terrible manflu.
Thanks to OskepUs, whose "Tum Tututum Tututum Tum" drum loop I greedily usurped and modified.
