Description : This track started out as a Dance track built around a sequence I programmed on my Moog Modular synthesizer. Then I decided it needed some Heavy Metal guitars. Then I decided to throw in a Horror bridge with some glitch drums. But it rocks, nonetheless..... ;-)

Updated with a new intro because I didn't like the opening fade-in. Also added a bit of weird lead guitar for the outro.

Wow Spyder, pretty cool my friend. The guitars of course to me add that needed flavor. Very unpredictable progression through the song which is very refreshing.
BTW, did you get my email with those tracks? Havent heard back from you.
Rat.

Yeah, you know I'm basically a guitar guy, Mark, so regardless of what genre I'm composing in, there HAS to be some heavy guitars in there somewhere...! LOL

I got the tracks, buddy, but, to be honest, I stuck 'em in a folder somewhere and forgot the location. I'll shoot you an e-mail a little later this evening, bro.

Peace,

Mike

totally effective updates - does make it all the punchier - this is one big pouncing motherf*n track man!

Thanks, Michael.

I thought it was a bit too repetitive the way it was, so I thought I'd try to "jazz it up a bit" to make it a little more interesting.

Very impressive track. Dark and moody, I love it! Nice use of synths, drums and guitars. It blended really well. I'm actually not a fan of the intro.
Keep up the great work man!

nice n groovy, yet dark, i diggit. that sounds like a disk saw guitar sound, nice.

nice at the break how the synth holds us, then that bounce vocal sound comes in, do I hear wolves or cats trying to be wolves ?

wow, excellent use of fx and your progressions are tres cool.

Hey, Neal, thanks for the listen and review, bro.

Went to a buddy's house the other day and we listened to Killing Joke's "Pandemonium" Cd, like, six times in a row ~ so when I came home I was in a dark Industrial kind of mood, I guess.

All the synth effects in the bridge were made with a little freebie VSTi called "Alieno".

Peace,

Mike

Oooooo I love the groove of this song, very nice. How low are you downtuned with that guitar track! very chunky but it doesn't take over the mix

The DVi (VSTi) Les Paul is "Drop D" tuning with standard "2 note" power chords being played. I had to automate the crap out of the volume on the guitar track to keep the guitar from dominating the rest of the instruments. I tried side-chaining the guitar first, but it didn't work so well.

Mike

Description : A psychedelic techno cello epic. It's not really techno as it's only 110 BPM but something like that (eg breakbeat), with lots of banging beats and arpeggiated acid synths, plus a whole load of my layered cello playing techniques. There aren't that many synths used but they do a lot of work and are carefully automated. No guitar. Drums are mostly a lot of drum loops, supported by a few programmed acoustic drumkits. Very busy and complicated with loads of different sections (funky, chilled, fast, heavy) that make up a constantly progressing trip. I don't know if there's any other cello music like this so let me know if you think there is. Interesting feedback appreciated - criticism, praise, ideas etc. Enjoy...

Description : Pretty basic dance track. Was experimenting with the Falcon synth plugin, hence the name. Instrumentation for the melody lines might be a bit unusual, more orchestral. Vocoder is from the Icarus synth plugin, a great new instrument.
