Description : Here attached is a new country tune I put together using several loops I bought off a disk set. I call it 'Old Tyme Country' as it is close to being Bluegrass as well. (Bluegrass usually has a Mandoline, Fiddle and a 5-string Banjo, and a rhythm guitar at least).
This instrumental features no guitars or regular drums. Rhythm here is provided by a Dulcimer, a Shaker and a drum like instrument called a Djembe. (An instrument from Africa, looking like a tall Bongo drum)
An acoustic stand-up Bass is used along with a 4 string Banjo, and the Fiddle is the main instrument.
Put all these together and this is the sound you can have. Hope you'll like it.

Hey Randy great country tune- I can see them Darlings and Andy jamming right their in Mayberry! LOL Very nice mix I also like the use of the Djembe instead of drums gives it that real country Front Porch Flavor!! Enjoyed!! Fila
Thanks again for your comments here. Strange that I have only have 2 comments but 25 downloads...ha ha ha. Guess people do seem to like it as that is a good sign.
Yeah, that Djembe was a loop and I made it fit to the tempo. As you say, all the instruments I used makes more of a overall non-electric feel and down home sound. Guess all that was needed was a washboard bass and jawharp. Lol
My chickens were a' cluckin' and dancin' to this one!
Needs some work around 1:00, most country songs don't usually stop and then start again as it gives hillbillies the opportunity to throw things at the drummer...you might try "breaking it down" as a transition (down to the beat for example).
Thanks for your comments on this old style country tune.
As for stopping in the middle of the song and starting over, I tend to do stuff like that.
Gives a fresh start. Since there were no drums in this tune, the instruments had to do all the work.
The song is about 2 minutes is all and thus gives the idea of the sound and style I wanted to get across.
Thanks again....I gave you a review back as well on your page.

Description : It was a long winter here, at Dartmoor. 4 Month of continued rain and damp. And suddenly (Drummroll), the sun came back. That did remind me of a collaboration with Silver Bella and her Acapella "Keep the Faith" from last year. A positive song which could have the potential to make a difference to the day. Thanks SB :-)
