I get so much energy from Looperman.
It's still hands-down the community giving me the best and most feedback, from my very first track 5 years ago based on a drum loop to the 20 or 30 tracks I've created and posted this year.
Pretty much everything I know about mixing and mastering, about song structures, even about drumming, playing guitar, singing, I've picked up so much and learned so much thanks to the community here, it's just insane.
I don't think I would have made an EP or an album on Spotify without Looperman. I probably would never have played live if it weren't for your site, as weird as that sounds.
There are people here who I consider friends, people I know by name and who I miss if I don't see them for a while.
I try to give back to the community in terms of comments and advice and collabs and loops and stems. It's just fun.
This really is the best site for creators, bar none. Thank you all!
My setup:
- all guitars are through my pedal board, direct input into my Focusrite Scarlett
- the bass is also DI
- a condensor mic
- a (rather basic) Roland drum set
- a Novation keyboard
(and some other assorted gear when I feel like it).
I also have access to a practice room with an accoustic drumset, where sometimes I record live drums and live vocals.
So it's all pretty convenient - I can (and do) grab a guitar at any moment :)

I hope I sound like... Me, really. And that can be almost anything, from Rock to Latin to EDM to funk and back to blues.
I realise I still sound like... A bit of a mess, but I'm learning. Have any tips, questions or comments?
...work 12 hours a day. Unfortunately, this sometimes cuts into my music time, but then again, somebody has to pay for all the gear ;)
