Description : A whimsical excursion into the weird brain of ZAPPO!...on the conveyor belt of song construction your very unlikely to find a package from Zappo trundelling merrily along and being pigeon holed.

hi again, it's just to let you know I enjoyed this track.
very inspiring fusion stuff. there's some things I do not like (fanfare, out of tune bass guitar and more) but overall 'feeling' is great. usually I do not paste the links to my recordings but you might check out my fusion song anyway: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160477 it is 'driven by a keyboard player' kind of track. Your guitar playing is really interesting - I will check out if there's some bass guitar sounds available from the thousands of your loops uploaded.
All the best to you, Alex
Man knew this would be good with you and zappo working together, knew it would be something different lol...seriously excellent colab, don't know what it is but something really special about this piece, really cant find the words to explain, so will just settle with LOVE IT, everything sounds so spot on...Fav'd...Massive credit to you guys for this great piece....Peace n Respect Mosaic...
Since this morning i'm feeling like the best feeling is finding an ad blocker that works this seemed like an appropriate tune to home in on.
This one's kind of abstract at the beginning, like one of those long 80's intros.
Then the beat kicks in and the music starts to get to work when the guitar kicks in with the beat.
It's a real builder of a track with a really clever time signature. Must have been a nightmare getting this one right but you've done it and it was definitely worth listening to (Not like that Robbie Williams twat. He wants shooting he does)

Hey Nick..good to see you back on the Loop man!..the place needs some cheering up,you know I have addblock in Chrome running, especially useful fr youtube..the weird thing is I let it run the adds on Looperman because when it's on it leaves too many empty spaces(no I don't miss the Asian bride sites! lol)...cheers mate I'll be over to your page soon!! Dave :)
This crazy cool! It's exactly how fusion should be! The flow of this is just amazing! Your bass is jammin as always! Great sounding mix here too! Love it! Faved for sure!
This is great. I normally hate fanfare sounds in music, but this works here very well &ironically;. This is musicianship on another level, plane, planet, zone (you pick a realm). Drums and percussion are mixed perfectly. and the way it ends. bowing out with a roll of percussion and a glissando from the fret-less bass. Marvellous performance.
Steve
I'm blown away by it all. I thought I was a perfectionist, but this track, like the others of yours I have listened too is frightening. A place for everything and everything in its place. Great musicianship, great music.
Beautiful bass sound.
The guitar solos are all interesting and well played (the first ones are a bit more "mainstream" and the last one is a bit more "exotic")
The track is very good: no doubt the product of two great musicians.
Thanks.
Domenico
Fusion at its best. Great guitar sweep/lick masters with just a hint of shred me thinks lol. Love the way the bass moves around as if it is looking for a space but never quite finds it. Masterly.
Hey there mate..thanks for dropping by!....some times when Detlef(Zappo) is playing guitar and your accompanying,it feels like your running around in an air raid trying to find a fallout shelter! lol cheers Dave
Hi Pat..thanks for dropping by for a listen, very much appreciated!....at some point when you've got a little free time Detlef and I would love to write a song for you.
cheers Dave :)
Okey let's take a breath... couldn't do it the last 7 minutes.
This is real fusion. with sweet psych elements. nice!
Structure is great harmonics, everything.
It reminds me a bit on a free jazz vinyl I heard a time ago. Forgot the name. unfortunately.
And normally there is no space for a small frog like me to critize around, but the lead guitar. Technique is great, no discussion. But it feels like a lack of emotion here. I miss the personal participation of the player in this piece of music. Could also be, that it is so quietly in the background. I hope you now what I mean and do misunderstand.
Hi Glocke..thanks mate for your truthful review!..I hear what your saying, sometimes things work out well in the digital domain as in mixing and mastering and sometimes they don't quite...I agree with you and would have preferred a more upfront guitar presence..cheers Dave :)
geez....I wish we had some kind of notice of fav uploads for us slackers who dont get much listening time on the loop...but dm...its good to be able to listen to this kind of music on our little site here....This kind of innovation doesn`t hit the radios (its too good)...has too much imagination and evidence of talent & thinking composing...and while its entirely different...it reminds me that the experiences & talented artists that I love who now have made enough swag are doing their real music (and its even better)..they`re not on the radio any more either....Great stuff Dave...dont have enough words to describe...but its uplifting....got energy...got feel...just good....Keep on doing it...Ed
Hey Ed..thanks man!...the only radio play Zappo or I will ever get is probably as background muzak in an insane asylum! lol....the weird thing is I've heard Jimi Hendrix and the Doors playing in my local supermarket and thought Jeez now even that stuff is regarded as muzak! lol
cheers mate Dave :)
Not sure how I missed this one gents, but I'm glad I found it. I actually think you two were twins, separated at birth, and then luckily for all of us, found each other here on Looperman.
Freaking genius at every last level. There is never a dull moment when you guys put on your creative hats. Those guitar riffs are just sick....sweep picking and shreddage as it should be!!!
Thanks Bear!....I hope I'm not the evil one!....(but that would explain why I have this subconscious desire to pull the wings off HipHop flies! lol)
cheers mate from Zappo and Dave :)
Hey Dave and Zappo, this is a big production, so much to listen to and soak in. I would guess it was a tough one to put together. Great instruments and sounds and a wonderful mix. You guys always seem to work well together. Always a pleasure!!
Hey Wayne..thanks mate!..Zappo put this one together, you can tell because it's crazy! lol..I'll be joining you soon in the Ableton9 club..(I'm a little pissed that I have to spend $199 to upgrade from version 8 suite..but hey Ableton rules!)
cheers Dave :)
Hey Neal..thanks man!.....it is a little esoteric but hey, occasionally it doesn't hurt to experiment...now where has Abe/alividlife gone I wonder,he had esoteric nailed!
cheers mate Dave :)

Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : It is an elegy, in a modern world. There is fuss and there are sentiments. All together create a scenery where life takes place.
I really hope you like it.
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : A spoopy song, early for Halloween. This was a collaboration with Micky, who did most of the work.
A musical realization of a poem by Thomas Hardy
Idea: Spearcarrier
Voices: Spearcarrier & Micky
Music: Micky
Genre: We don't know yet. Suggestions welcome. LOL
Description : Real acoustic, electric and bass guitars played by me. Drums are loops and programmed MIDI. Played piano and synths. Lots of layers and delay. A gated moog, organ, my recorded finger-snaps and a reversed bass guitar effect that sounds like throat-singing. Three movements, divided by moments of calm. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
Description : Return To Forever was a group that started my love of fusion jazz and this is my attempt to cover their 1976 track, “The Romantic Warrior. I know I wore out several inceptions of this album from LP, cassette and 8 track. The original track was over 10 minutes long, so I abridged it some. Hope you like and download.

And that underlying whomp bass sound thingee (what is that) buzzing around...yes. And that ending mwahhh, it's always good to be let down gently :-)
You guys are really great together!!!!!
