Description : A first track this year, which could be representative of the external image of time also, that there has here on the edge of the Atlantic, in France.
Rebecca (reblaw27) of ccMixter accompanies me, for this little musical ballad ....
The gated synth works well though the intro and at other parts. Drums come in nice and the dub type bass suits the song. Nice effect when the drums stop and the altered vox comes in.In my opinion, the actual raining sound what sound better sat further back in the mix and maybe not panned both left and right? Chill out atmospheric voice on this song which suits the song excellently. Enjoyed listening to this track.
You would have the finality of a good technician? Your comment seems to prove it at least because it is very detailed and thank you... A way forward positively, it's certain, and I thank you for your appreciation ....
Olá Dan
tudo bem?
espero que sim....
nice presence, a true music to relax, full of tenderness.
Fine skills, good construction and equalizing, always bringing that good feeling in the songs.
this combination of voice is perfect, Rebecca has a very beautiful voice.
CLASSIC SONG
Where have I been? How did I missed this extra number...that rain falls and that pulsative synth give a special mood for this outstanding song...and don't talk about that fabulous voice...:-)
Dan, it is the song with full heart and soul...as you always present these 2 words...
Thanx for the upload, hope all is well with you, Danke
A very fine pop song, which is just what I expect when I visit your page! You've kept this very experimental, while providing a familiar setting. Your treatment of the vocal is very professional in my opinion! It feels good to listen to this song! Thanks for sharing!
Thank for this comment so appreciative .... The important thing here is that you had a good time .... and I have some satifaction to learn it.
Thank you again ....
This is possible because I produced this piece there a few years now. In any case I had make at the time, and I do it again & again .... A big thank you.
Beautiful track Dan! Your production skills just keep getting better and better, which is attested to by the number of talented musicians that line up to work with you. Thanx for sharing.
You have composed a beautiful song here Dan.
The build up, the singing, the quiet moments in between and right to the ending.
What a great voice that Rebecca you have collaborated with.
A nice touch with the rain fx.
And that was a clever idea with the phasing on the vocal in the middle break of the song. I must try that someday!
Well done my friend!
With music all, or almost anything goes .... Just do it with passion and daring. Thank you for your time here, and good luck for your productions for this new year ....
I could not understand it (I just had a "feeling" that something was "laid back") but reading the comment from Johnny and your answer I noticed the "phasing"...and I like it!
It helps to make the atmosphere more "dreamy".
It is funny that some people "perceive" in different ways .... but it is also normal and logical.
In any case, you seem to appreciate this fact, and I thank you.
Dan,there are many differences between Captains & players .
hahaha...no matter if they play for france or having no country like me.
& this was a a stylish class of music...a VickyDanish one .
Vocal is very good . thoughtfull lyriX & impressive expression.jusT Dan , I think this is a new chord progrssion in parts in which that accord = singer sings ''don't know whY''in then end , is singing by vocal .
for sure she'll sing it better in a secondary attempT .althoughT this is superb as it is .best wishes .___Behnam
The Captain of the team, you thank to have followed me, in the path of this song sung by Rebecca ....
If I understand your comment, you seem also a bit taken aback by the timing delay between music and singing.
Do not worry my friend, I shall try to do better next time ....
Thank you for your time here ....
Hi Dan...love the beat and driving bass.....the voice is superb and masterfully supported by your music..really like the vocoded sections too...I like how you have left uncorrected some of the off key sections of the vocals...almost blues like...makes you wake up and listen closer!...great start to the year!
I always enjoy reading the details of your comments .... evidence on many occasions, of a studious and relevant listening. I can not thank you enough.
I hope that the current heat, of your continent .... not upsets you too.
Thank you again for your permanent presense .... Take care of yourself.
Yes! all goes well, when I read your comments .... and imagining you, with your eternal cup of coffee in hand.
Thank you for the permanent supports .... which encourages, and "forces" me, of do better each time .... I appreciate you very much.
Take care of you .... and soon for new musical adventures ....
I always enjoy listening to your tracks, this one is another gem. I really loved the vocals and the music is there in total support. This is beautiful Dan, mix is excellent!
Hi! It's been a while since I was in here at looper and am so pleased to find this gem – beautiful arrangement (and vocals, of course). Great work, mate.
/pmk
Nice mix of soft ambiance with the drums. Something doesn't seem to sync somewhere in this track but its not too noticeable... unless its all intentional, of course.
I tried to give some explanation to John (johnnyproducing) below regarding what you call synchronization ....
Thank you, at least for listening and posted your comment. I appreciate.
Sorry to you again to set foot on earth, but it is not my voice, I'm just the composer.
But thank you very much on behalf of Rebecca .... and of me also.
Bonjour Dan....you bring a picture of Spring and the soft rain to my cold prairie home...and warm my day in the most pleasant of ways....The lady Rebecca does have a very pleasant voice that melts together with your music magically...and as always when I visit your page, I come away with a blissful feeling...superb mon ami...another jewel......Ed
How are you going with this cold so intense in your region?
Pleased that this song brings you a little heat .... and a big thank you for your continued support.
I hope despite this disadvantage (but I think you're used to) that all goes well for you and your family.
First, all my best wishes for this new year which will be, I hope for you, very musical, among others.
Then a big thank you for your presence again here on my page ....
Beautiful song Dan, I agree with John, there are some areas where the Piano and the voice are not aligned to the beat correctly, but the essence of this song is massively good.
Steve.
Thank you for that comment, and read below for an explanation of this small offset (unintentional but persistent) ....
Thank you again and all my musical wishes, for the new year .... Begins very cold I think know.
Love your voice ;)
Thanks for sharing this with us it's really relaxing to listen to this and made me wonder if you want to do some vocals on my Drum and Bass track that I have featured now. Anyways the track itself is very touching with the subtle use of the synths, only your voice seems a bit off track at 2.28 but might be me and further it sounded great ;)
The shift is called the "phasing" .... very difficult to achieve (a kind of shift in tempo between two musical elements at a specific time but which ultimately return in phase)...
Here I have not done knowingly, but my musical MIDI track is mainly, and the voice is MP3, and after several mixes, I always had this slight shift I ultimately kept because it is not unpleasant to the ear.
Thank you for your comment .... and your appreciation of a connoisseur.
