Brilliant work, chill out with energy, great sax, builds with some real 70's vibes running through ( and I mean that with respect) I could almost have been back at the turntables!! I LOVED IT.
All the best,
Mark/Larry!
Well Steve I liked your planned chord progression , skletton & musical form of it & musical texture of this carpeT with Aerophonic instruments specially according to this Scale .
beyond obvious notable poinT of your mix & mastering, always personage role of Bass is a pleasurable traiT of your musiX .particulary I think it sound stylish & well as it is & doesn't need anything buT maybe & just maybe Ed & his cristalized notes & self style guitar playing .in facT althoughT details are so determinative & affective abouT Guitar line , buT what is fair to be expected from a machin guitar was done in iT . also a vocalisT too can have a good fun with iT,I think . dear Mr Brown, unseen friend of mine behind that monitor, it's always a pleasure to play push button beside your nice musiX.thnx for sharing Steve & all the bests.___Behnam
I`m just listening on my pc speakers tonight Steve..but that sax sounds good to me...I`ve often gone looking for decent horn sounds for Chicago style blues etc and come up a bit empty as I`m a pretty poor keyboard player...Quite a big mix this one..but clear as a bell...smooth listening, yet has that power drive from the drums & bass that let you feel it....This kind of music I could just sit at the back table witha cool brew and listen to for the night...your compositional & playing talents are obvious...I`ll join Bear & danke in the ovation....Ed
Hi Ed, VSTi's are getting better at the more natural instrument sounds but are still limited for range , librato and playing effects like reed sounds etc so I myself limit their use. Really glad you liked the song.
Hey, you've got some sort of creature jumping into the track eg at 0:18.
More of your usual good work and some cool bass, especially the fill at the end of the bar at 1:00.
1:19 lead, slow rising synth is cool.
Have you got a bit of Sugar Bytes Guitarist in here?
Sax sounds pretty decent. How did you do that? Is it sample-based?
4:19 extra bit of delay on that synth is very effective there.
Not so keen on the fadeout ending but it's OK.
This is pretty decent, spacious you can dance to. It's not my favourite track of yours (think that was the last one you uploaded that was more banging and powerful)but I still like it. Not every track can be my favourite but yours are almost always good or better.
Hello...well the guitar is actully Rob Papens Rythmn Guitar, I need to study SB's Guitarist more so I can program my own chords and strumming better. The sax is a VST keyboard called Purity and I find they work well in the mid range but are pretty obvious once you go up the scale! I get your favourite track comment, I have made songs that I really like and few listens later I've moved on! I think I pump out the songs to practice mixing, styles, blends etc and also reflect the mood at the time! Much appreciative of your comments as always.
Regards
Steve
Hey Steve, great track (I know I hate it when people say that...but it really is a great track, haha). Like Danke said, the bass line is really special, but I've got a soft spot for great pads and this one has some of the best sounding pads I've heard in a while. Mix is spot on and the master is stellar.
I think I'll join Danke in rising and applauding this one. Fantastic job. I hope all is well.
Hi Bear, really nice to hear from you again..I get your great track comment but I think it's ok when it heart felt! Nice to hear the mix is clean and balanced at your end but when I listen to professionally finished music its still needs "something"...soften the tone or remove certain frqeuencies? Not sure but its not bad for just a home PC. All is good here and looking forward to some of your new work?
Cheers
Steve
Favd this fabulous song...not just for the sax use but what about that amazing bass line...incredible...as usual pro mix...as usual standing ovation...
Cheers Danke...I use Izotope 5 mixing plug in which is a great mastering support..glad you liked the bass line as the song was built around it basically!
Thanks again
Steve

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd
Description : That's something i worked out lately
a swing 3/4 hip hop Chill ?? Don't know how to describe this kind of music.

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...
