Hey traz that is a real nice intro and i like the concept of working only with loops i know that must be a lot of work to stitch that all up and make an entire track come together but it really works here. More power to you peace out. Robbie.
Thank you, however, this is exactly the first track where i use some live instruments (electric guitar) - so made by not loops only. :)
Btw, sorry for the late reply...
Neat how you found so many loops in the same key and made them work. I agree with silverman; there's something about this mix that could stand out more. Perhaps LIGHTLY sidechain the instruments to the drums? Then the transients would snap just a bit more.
Man, you are awesome! Looked after it, and found an "error" : one of the main drum loops were not 120 but some 119.958 bpm. As i used as loop, it means some really minimal slide - you (at least, me) cannot really hear the difference, but maybe there is some different feeling. Wonder if it's do the trick.
Thousand thanks for the feedback!
Pretty cool chilled out track, nice composition overall, enjoyed it! There are some cool dynamics in the song, building it up and bringing it back down adds depth and dimension to it. I really like the change around 2:25, some cool changes in that section towards the end.
Good to see you adding some live electric guitar, too. Keep doing that man!!
Well, that "live" word is not really true - played on guitar, but what you hear is a looped and edited thing. I play it dozen times then get the most acceptable one and upgraded it to get a few loops. You don't want to hear the worst tries, i sweat blood with the editing of the best ones too and the result is still crap if you hear it standalone. :D
There's a great little something going on here being let down a little with the mastering side of things .... I think.
I'm still learning this stuff myself so can't always with confidence say what's wrong.
Something isn't quite right.
If this were mine I'd keep working on it because there is a great little something going on but not quite making it through.
Thanks for the feedback!
I think i know the problem : it's simply me. Specifically, my guitar play. I made it just for fun, because bored my daily training. I want to do something more entertainining thing, so tryed if can make something with my actual skills. With a cheap Epiphone stratocaster, 3 months old strings, i just tried to make some basic melodies just for fun. The pickups are cheap single coils and within a few meters, there is my computer and several power cables and connectors nearby - the result is a lot of noise.
Even forgot to tune my instrument before recording, and playing with bare hands, hehe. :)
And a sad fact : after 10 months, i still can't play on guitar. What you hear is under any quality. With the other loops, you can't hear them cleanly so it sounds a bit weird, but alone... it's terrible guitarplay (way too bad for upload). :D
Because that, i think no man in the world who can save it, so this tune is such as is it. :)
Olyan mintha a Delta (tudományos-fantasztikus ismeretterjesztő műsor volt, Kudlik Júliával) főcim zenéjét hallanám a 22. századból...istentelenül tetszik...komolyan...a 2 'betét' rész még inkább elviszi a soundtrack irányába...a 2. olyan mintha egy Depeche Mode B oldalas bakelitjéről szólna...ez kiba jó lett...
Emlékszem rá (tudod, én is öreg vagyok. :D), de engem egyáltalán nem emlékeztet rá. Igazából még csak hasonlónak sem találom. :)
Üdv!
Amazing production! I'd never be able to put so many loops together and make it sound good, and good job crediting everyone that's mad respect. Keep it up man!
Thank you!
However, its my normal method, i work with loops only - relative easy thing i think, you need a lot of time and patience. What is really different in this tune and were gives a lot of headache to me, my first ever guitarplay, lol. :D

Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : A spoopy song, early for Halloween. This was a collaboration with Micky, who did most of the work.
A musical realization of a poem by Thomas Hardy
Idea: Spearcarrier
Voices: Spearcarrier & Micky
Music: Micky
Genre: We don't know yet. Suggestions welcome. LOL
Description : Real acoustic, electric and bass guitars played by me. Drums are loops and programmed MIDI. Played piano and synths. Lots of layers and delay. A gated moog, organ, my recorded finger-snaps and a reversed bass guitar effect that sounds like throat-singing. Three movements, divided by moments of calm. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
Description : Return To Forever was a group that started my love of fusion jazz and this is my attempt to cover their 1976 track, “The Romantic Warrior. I know I wore out several inceptions of this album from LP, cassette and 8 track. The original track was over 10 minutes long, so I abridged it some. Hope you like and download.
Description : A moroccan traditional song from 70s titled "Toudart" which means "Life" in Moroccan berber/Tamazight, revived and composed in a modern way, I used minor2go's piano loop which you can hear on the background, everything elese is from me.
Thank you, however, this is exactly the first track where i use some live instruments (electric guitar) - so made by not loops only. :)

the track is really good too, nice choice of loops. The melt between these and your guitar riffs give us a cool render
nice work!
bleep
My guitarplay still sounds like a lame, horrible mash standalone, but somehow works here - more or less. :)
Regards, traz
Cool vibe though, definitely keep working on it!!
