Description : Playing around with the new brass sounds in Logic Pro x 10.4. I also grabbed a dope trap beat created MjKonrad (trap-drums-by-mjkonrad-free-140bpm-trap-drum-loop) for foundation. I created this track with some chilled organ, piano, brass, 808, and a few other sounds.

Many influences in this piece among which two main clause: deep house in the intro and jazzy atmosphere during all the song! I am fooled by the used brass instruments. You say that they are synthetic on the base? Tones, stamp, heat are to be mistaken close relation of the truths there! Magnificent composition! it's a big fav for me!
congratulations

Thanks Bleep for the comments and the Fav! I guess the real credit goes to Logic Pro X new sound library. I try to use sounds of instruments from Logic that seems real to the ear. While exploring the new sound library of logic prox I heard the new strings and brass sounds and had to use them. If you think that the brass sounds seems real wait until my string track comes. Anyway, thank you for listening to my track. Ronabo
Thanks for listening Diskonnect! I am using the latest Logic Pro X 10.4 Studio Horns> baritone sax, Trombone 1, and Trumpet 2. Logic stepped it up on these release and makes it much easier to be more created with its expressions. Yeah, I was feeling myself on the piano solo in the end ... ha ha.
Thanks again for the comments.
Hi CitizenMoFo, I will have to check Herb Alpert out; never heard of him. :)
It is good to know that you really enjoyed the track. It certainly was fun to make and is still a work in progress(so more fun to be had). Thanks for listening and leaving your comments.
This is beyond any doubt quite a remarkable work. Nice use of wind instruments which are well to the fore...particularly liked the sax.
Well done to you mate....keep 'em coming !:)
Pretty much love every one of your tracks. Always so smooth, and puts me in a good frame of mind. Brass sounds are pretty good. I like how you didn't overpower the piece with it.
Thank you Neuroman... I am glad you enjoyed the tracks and thanks again for commenting. I will have to listen to some brass players and see if I can get better at it. :)
Lol... I know right me too. I use logic and just use there some of their canned master settings. I know that mixing and mastering your self to get the right sound is better but I am not skilled on that front. So that is why I just hit the logic pro x "master pop wide" and it makes things sound a little better.
I really enjoyed this but then I read the comment ... yeah spent ages on this about four hours.
I'm doing something very wrong as I spen days doing my hobby stuff.
Very few tracks apart from the very obvious ones have taken les than day with maybe a total of twenty thirty hours.
I'm going to start timing the actual hours because so many of you seem to jus niot really good tunes out on an afternoon!
I want to know where I'm going wrong.
So, Renabo. Way back in 2013 you posted a track called, "Rain Chills" which I really liked. Downloaded it and set a melody to it, which is something I do on occasion when I really like a track I hear on Looperman. I must say that you have really advanced your music incredibly since then. This new track is really, really good. I haven't experimented yet with the new instruments in the latest update to Logic Pro X. You've done a wonderful job with them. Nice dynamics and expression. You must have put a lot of work into this.
I have two suggestions/observations on the track. 1) I think the bass sounds could be tightened up. I found the lower frequencies of the mix to be too muddy. I think that's probably what you were going for, creating a deep almost continuous sub-bass "bed" for the track. Not sure if some compression, or just lower levels in the mix, or what might be an option worth experimenting with. 2) I really like your playing and feel. You seem to know how to voice R&B chords really well. I'd really like to hear tracks from you with a more complete and varied structure (Intro, Verse, Prechorus, Chorus, Bridge, Outro, etc.). More variation in the chord progressions. In my own playing I find that to be a real challenge and I'm not good at figuring out where to go with new sections to make a more complete project. Most of the time I just give up and stick to one repetitive chord sequence. But you are better at this stuff than I am, so I think it would really pay off big time for your music.
Anyway, Ronabo, that's my two bits. Nice work. Really nice work on this one.
Hi Eric, I remember you and really appreciate your suggestions. I am glad you enjoyed this track and I did spend about 4-5 hours on this one. I will improve on it later... Ha.
1)Mixing is my weakness, I would love to give to someone else to mix :)
2) I really like this one because I do not focus on Intro and Outro like I want too. I find I just come up with a groove and start right there. Very good constructive criticism my friend.
Thanks for listening. Glad you fav'd Danke. I did have an issue with the upload which may have caused the green line to line up. I noticed it too and tried again but to no avail.

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Which brass sounds are you using, out of curiosity? As they sound great, the timpani too!
Lovely piano solo to see the track out, great job!
