Really feeling the grooove on this one man. What DAW are you using? Did you write midi for it or are you using samples? Just curious as to how you make your music.

BLEEP replied 24th Jan 2019 - 5 years ago
hi :)
i only used samples for the wah wah guitar, all the others instruments comes from midi write ;)

For the guitar samples, i reworked it of course! i rarely use a sample in its original version.

For the bass guitar, i worked on my guitar before transposed it on my synth

Salut Bleep !
Ravi d'avoir lu comemnt tu travailles.
A bientot

Hey Bleep my friend you have pulled the rabbit out of the hat here nicely combined and what a cool clean sound i love the reverb on the guitar and jazzy approach it all went by in a flash. The outro was ace. Bravo.

now that´s the funk we all love from the seventies with an awesome riddim section. this is awesome Bleep. & that subtle keyboard and the oohs and ahhs work great in the back of the mix. The wah work is sublime. Then itś a synth sax....
Nice work my friend

Hey Cru,

Cool feedback here, thanks for that! you're right, the sax is not real, but it was necessary for me to include this kind of instrument in this track... how to explain it... like a warmy desire lol

actually i've read nothing about the bass line. Strangely, i love it and it was my starting point :)

thanks bro for listening ;)

A bientôt

BLEEP replied 7th Aug 2018 - 6 years ago
hello!

This is fantastic! A melting pot of musical genres, well executed piece. I can hear all the instruments clearly. The guitar work is great, love that funky wah wah pedal! Great guitar to start the song off with. Sax is a great touch, nice reverb on it. I like the small vocal snippets that are in there too.

Dig it! Gonna dl it so thank you for sharing!

Fantastically interesting piece Bleep.
Something told me at the beginning that it wasn't going to work.
Works great and the crisp clarity really helps it shine.
Inspirational too.
One your best for me this one.

I'm really glad to read you!!

In fact, it's true i melted several influences in this track with the danger of fail in the result! fortunatly, it seems not to be the case!

Description : Continuing my journey with sampling. This was mostly an accident, and not where I originally thought it would go but I'm happy with the destination. I started with the track Real Reel Switcher by Eunice Russ Frost, which has a slower melancholy swing to it, however I've been playing a bunch of older video games lately, with SSX being in the mix heavily, so this track ended up taking on a bit of that for inspiration as well. Would love your thoughts.

Description : Updated 12/2/2022. This is an interesting redo of a funky and fun composition. I gave it more polish by switching to a different drum kit, swapped the flute solo for a synth, then infused more flavor into the guitars, bass and organ. Then lastly tweaking the final master. Can you tell the difference? Let me know. Enjoy.
