This is amazing. Love all of it but I have a soft spot for the sax. I played alto and tenor for a few years way back while at school but never came close to attaining this excellence. You two seem to complement each other very well. Looking forward to more.
I love a good sax! This is very cafe cool, with low lights, dark sunglasses, and an espresso. Very atmospheric, lots going on I bet you two must be pleased with this, keep it up I want to hear more. I'm going to play it again!
I really like this - lots of variation throughout which is always a big plus for me. What is bugging me though is the sax sound that starts up just before the 4 minute mark. Sounds really familiar, but can't place it. First thought it was really like something by The Prodigy but I'm not sure. Oh well, don't matter lol. Decent! :)
For the first part I ran my sax through my Boss ME80 pedal with lots of clean gain, reverb, "terra echo" delay, and I was using a freeze pedal to create intervals with endlessly sustaining notes (a trick I use on the guitar a lot with live improv).
The second sax sound is ran through my Digitech Whammy with octave mix turned on (the pedal range was one octave below to one octave above, which I played like a wah), then ran that through my ME80 pedal with distorted gain, reverb, and tape delay.
There is very little post effects on the sax (a little compression and saturation for the mix). I like my performed parts to be a true single take, which meant deleting and re-improvising till the whole take was "right" (my lip was sore). I'm the same way with guitar and MIDI. I don't like "humanizing" things when I can just play them. In live settings I may have 15 pedal parameters going at once, that change with whatever direction the jam goes.
Not sure what it sounds like to you, but I have been getting Prodigy comparisons lately. Thanks for the compliment.
Jynxz is responsible for the atmosphere, his song originally. I'm just moral support :)
This is absolutely mesmerizing! to listen to. A very snazzy! track indeed & with one of my fave instruments (SAX) it adds such a nice touch. I like what I'm hearing everything meshes well. Jynxz & yourself have produced an Outstanding track. GREAT! Collab here guys Nice! Work.
Never listen to a fusion track before :) sounds good, love the sax. And the answer to your question about my master bus, I use compression always and a limiter sometimes.. I use compression on my kick if it needs it, or if I use more than one.
Thanks for the feedback and the answer. "Fusion" was the best thing I could come up with, probably not accurate, categorization is the responsibility of the critic anyway.
Jynxz gave me most of the ingredients and the recipe, I just added the seasoning and cooked it. Without him part of it would be practically noise :)

==============
Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : It is an elegy, in a modern world. There is fuss and there are sentiments. All together create a scenery where life takes place.
I really hope you like it.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.
Description : A spoopy song, early for Halloween. This was a collaboration with Micky, who did most of the work.
A musical realization of a poem by Thomas Hardy
Idea: Spearcarrier
Voices: Spearcarrier & Micky
Music: Micky
Genre: We don't know yet. Suggestions welcome. LOL
Description : Messing around with my midi keyboard (I am no pianist as you will hear). Just a bunch ideas put together with guitar and keys. Don't miss the end :-) it shows the obvious lack of inspiration to find a decent ending of the so called musician! This track is work in progress all ideas are welcome!
Looks like more to come, thanks for the listen and comment.
