Hey Mark I see you found a Rhodes and a Acoustic Piano
that are to your liking. That Bass... I'm guessing Patuchii Fretless? It's off the hook.
I had to get up and hear this. Glad I did...

Rob! Good ear like always. Patitucci all the way. I’m still not over the Spectrasonics business. It’s too many goodie’s. Thanks for the stop and check. TTYL.

Hey Mark, sorry I haven't been around much lately. But as soon as I logged on, I knew I had to check your profile because you'd have a new funky track. And indeed you did. And it did not disappoint! This is one of my favs of yours so far, it very much sounded like you but there were so many new musical elements you brought in that I didn't expect. And none felt extraneous or out-of-place at all. As with a lot of your stuff it reminded me of that phrase: The inventor knows they have achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add but when there is nothing left to take away. Cheers bro! Superb work as usual.

Long time no see.

I'm curious in the beginning is that two pieces pasted together or triggered autowah.
Great quick piano solo, wanted more.
Nice transitions between instruments and instrument sections, lots going on (as usual). Not sure on the brass (too picky really), but good sound choices.
Nice bass solo, horns still a little "MIDI", but not in the bones/french horns. I like how the bass and trumpet solos creeped together till they were parallel, very nice.

Faced.

bringer, welcome back. It's good you're back in action. That section you mentioned is a midi piano playing along with the Rhodes. The brass is definitely not the best, but I needed to get the idea down. I'm right now in the process of updating and you'll notice a marked improvement. As always your listen and feedback is always appreciated, along with the fave. Peace.

Very seamless and organic composition. I enjoyed the dynamics of the instrumentation. Everything was fluid. A great piece of ear candy. I wish I could play jazz guitar like that. Great job. Cheers - Bilbozo

Well, M.T. had to call the fire department in three counties to put my laptop and me out. When the bass started to chord then solo, by then I was so locked in I couldn't get out. Very well thought out and composed. AAA PLUS. PEACE. T576 OUT.

Paul, thanks. I’m only trying to come up with some decent sounds, put a few smiles on a few faces and a touch of joy in some hearts. You know we need more of that. Anyway your listen and feedback is greater than gold my friend. May you and your family be kept safe during these exceptionally weird times. Also our project is still alive and well.

there are no words to really express how amazing of a masterpiece this is. the keyboards are mixed so smooth and the drums are bangin pretty hard. i'm always a huge fan of that contrast so this is an A PLUS from me. please release a drumless version for producers to chop up and sample! i would absolutely love to play around with this and come up with something gritty for someone to spit some fire over... no pressure tho! keep it up man.

First off, those drums are awesome. I see you play them yourself, major props and fistbump there. A joy to listen to.
Then on the VSTs... Yeah maybe you went overboard a bit? ;) Although not actually overboard, more like one buttock touching the waves and your playing the keys actually keeps it together.
Great job. Looking forward to more stuff.

kingmt77 replied 6th Mar 2022 - 2 years ago
BaoBou, hello there. Right now I’m more immersed than ever. This is a new phase for me and getting acclimated to multitasking is a blast. Concerning the drum mix, I constantly restrain myself to just support the other instruments and not go wild. You know drummer’s brain with all of the complex rhythms and other issues. On the keys for me it’s now or never. I think I’ll be ok. Nonetheless for you to stop by and take out time for a listen and share your thoughts is greatly appreciated. May you and your family be and stay safe always.

I love to have this style of music playing as I do basic household chores or paint(oil, watercolor), it's light, upbeat and makes my mind wander as I listen.

New plugins and instruments, Yes! Have fun, new toys are a great way to spend hours playing and creating. Dig the bass at the end working with the horn, good stuff!

What's up Mark,
I was hoping you hadn't
run into technical difficulties.
This is smooth beyond compare. Man
you killin the Keys. Bass chords and
solo. The Drums are a given. Is this a
preview? That Bass and Horn solo was just
getting started.

Great track. Faved..

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : I wrote this track about two years ago. I remember at the time I wrote it I was having conversations with BofD and Mark about oddball time signatures so,
I played all the instruments in different time signatures from time to time 3/4 4/4 5,6 &7/8 etc. I wanted this track to be a track where time sigs went to die.
