Description : This track starts off with some Jazzy Neo-Soul then gets into some Funk with a Rock Space-Synth solo, then ends with some straight Neo-Soul.
So I won't offend anyone that's hardcore into Funk, I'd say this track is "Funkish"

This is awesome stuff man. Oh, and anyone who gets offended at a category label can F right off - that can never be the goal of music.
I think you've been silent for a couple months (since Sept? ) Here's hoping you're ok - if there's some mild writer's block or stuff holding you back - they can't hold us down man. The music will always come out!
(Hugs)
I'm glad you heard and enjoyed this track.
I imagine LM must be posting it from time to time.
I don't remember it getting quite so many listens when
I posted it back in March.
It's very encouraging to get such a rave review from you
I'm a huge fan of all your work here on LM.
I also appreciate your concern, I have been going thru a rough patch since October. I'm ok tho. Quitters never win and winners never quit. I may pause but I never quit.
I hope to be back on LM soon.
Thanks for stopping by, I was beginning to think
You were back on the road.
I'm still in the lab trying to get the exact sound
I want out of my Synth. I guess this sound is ok for
now.
Thank you for your listen, encouraging comments
and the Fave.
@30 I changed the BPM from 120-100.
I found out (by accident) that if you
use percussion or Drum over perhaps a 2
second slide with the BMP that it's almost
invisible. To get back to 120 I did the same
thing but with FX.
I'm glad you liked the Guitar, I still don't have
it exactly where I want it. Lately I've been running
a Synth (any Synth) voice through the BlueCat GuitarVST.
I'm still not getting the attack I want out of it. I'm looking for a certain bite that I just can't seem to get.
Thanks for stopping by and giving my track a listen and the encouraging comments.
A jazz rock cabaret on acid - wonderfully creative drawing on musical themes from the last 60 years and (of course) somewhat zappaesque but jynxzed up and sounding very sharp in the sound production - what's not to like
I guess the cats out the bag on my age now. LOL.
Actually I went a little farther back than 60yrs.LOL.
As always I appreciate you taking the time to stop by
and listen to my track, your encouraging comments and
especially the Fave.
Oh sweet! It's the next entry in the ongoing -ish series! You're coming back very true to form. And yes, I'm still f*cking coveting that synth sound, I've played around with it a bit to try and replicate it but haven't succeeded yet.
Oh and I'm happy to speak on behalf of the defense if Mark presses charges. I loved the tempo change at 0:32. It might've caught me off guard if it didn't seem so organic and unforced.
I'm not sure if you intended this but to my ear, the voice clips that you use almost end up becoming a percussive element. Like the speech rhythm is becoming a counterpoint to the drum groove. That might just be me though.
Your observation skills are off the charts.
It's funny you should mention the Vocals in
a groove with the Bass and Drum. It rhythmic
result wasn't entirely intentional. I noticed
it after I listened to the track while it was
under construction. I have been using the same
Vocal samples for so long that I have them written
into the track before I finish most of the instrument
parts. I placed the Vocals in a rhythmic pattern but I
hadn't really thought about how they help the groove of
the track until after it was finished.
I'm sure in time you will build the exact Synth sound you
are working on. I think it's a on going process that you never finish. It's just tweak after tweak after tweak.
I really appreciate you giving my track a listen and for your encouraging comments.
For Funk's sake! this is awesome mate! Twisty and turn ''sey'' at the right moments. you have the pulse on post-post psychedelic mate! That keys-solo is amazing and very Jordan Rudess-like. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome mate!
Ha. I listened before I read the comments but knew straight away that was your synth guitar, maybe cause I've asked that question myself in the past. It's sounding shit hot tho. This whole thing fair jumped out of my headphones and into my ears.
... as he lives and breathes! Holy funk ... the electric angel trills. What heights...
I would recognize that as JYNXZ anytime if I heard it anywhere without knowing... and uniqueness is worth more now than ever I think. Bravo!
P.S. I want this last piece of music in the outro of your track - please send it to me. I want to make a new track out of it.
Nice work Rob the intro is lovely, was not expecting that at 32, which isn't a bad thing. That guitar is brilliant, nice drum work, real solid mix then that end. Great listen
What's up BM4Real,
I was beginning to wonder if anyone
even noticed my "SpaceSynth", it's still under construction.
I still can't seem to get the exact sound I want from it, but,
I guess its always progress never perfection.
That laugh sample is in all of my tracks. I feel like some
of the Vocal samples I use over and over make up a makeshift singing group "The JYNXETTS" LOL.
As always thank you for stopping by and giving my track a listen and for the encouraging comments.
Rob, I’m turning you in for the switch @about 0:32! Yep I’m pressing charges LOL! That Keytar is fire. Drum mix is tantalizing and the overall mix is busy and balanced. Great work here. Now that exit will add additional criminal charges haha! Peace
Description : 'Love will find you at the right time'...This track is about how we vibrationally attract love. From my recollection, in the early 20s/teen years, a typical place to encounter this wonderful force was the Disco. (Kay)
'I always wanted to produce a funk and soul song, as I love the rhythms and vibe. I hope you like my first attempt at this. Many thanks to Darren Hirst for his great bassline' - Oli.

Description : This is kinda like a funky electro acoustic type thing. Definitely our funkiest piece yet, trying to explore a few different genres here, hopefully you enjoy it! :)

Description : Continuing my journey with sampling. This was mostly an accident, and not where I originally thought it would go but I'm happy with the destination. I started with the track Real Reel Switcher by Eunice Russ Frost, which has a slower melancholy swing to it, however I've been playing a bunch of older video games lately, with SSX being in the mix heavily, so this track ended up taking on a bit of that for inspiration as well. Would love your thoughts.

Description : A Dark Funk tune , with a touch of Nawlin's jazz funeral procession. Midi-sparks asked me to do a Halloween song for his competition, and so here it is!
Description : Updated 12/2/2022. This is an interesting redo of a funky and fun composition. I gave it more polish by switching to a different drum kit, swapped the flute solo for a synth, then infused more flavor into the guitars, bass and organ. Then lastly tweaking the final master. Can you tell the difference? Let me know. Enjoy.
Description : This is the first production for STAR TRAVELS in collaboration between MICKY (LM) and JYNXZ (LM).
Micky: concept / arrangement / guitars / synths / fx / vocals / mix / mastering
Jynxz: synths / bass / rhodes / clavinet
Description : Everything is recorded live, so you probably hear that. It's also all me :$
Thanks to everyone who contributed in explaining what I did wrong in the engineering, mixing and mastering, especially Ben (bringerofDOOM). Looperman is truly an awesome community and thank you all. Did I say you guys are awesome?

I love that vox in it and the laughing.
That guitar playing can almost be heavy metal
All in all a nice track again mister.
I'm very glad you stopped by and gave my track a listen.
I think you'll find that that laughing Vox and many others
are in every track I write. I feel like they are part of my
group. Is that weird?'-)
I Love those "Ish" tracks mate.
Well produced piece of music my friend.
Well done mate
Maj
I'm glad you enjoy them.
I thought I was done with
the "ish" series and then I
realized I had forgotten "Funk"
which is one of my fav genres.
I'm still a little frightened to
approach that "Spanish Creek" idea
you sent me, I'm still waiting for the
right inspiration to tackle it.
I appreciate you giving my track

to 120BPM. LOL I was just seeing what it do. LOL.
