Hey CC - Ive got some catch up listening to do after a few days away! Thanks for the listen and the warm feedback. The chains sound (along with the more typical guitar lead sound) is actually from my guitar!
Hello, a very beautifully staged play! I think the idea of using a musical sound with few chords as the background of the language is very good. This means that one follows the spoken word more attentively, but at the same time perceives these interesting background instruments with their sparse melody, which are neither disturbing, but rather interesting. Wonderful song! I like it very much! Greetings Manuela
Thanks mate - I think the original mix Id used a new FX that cluttered the sound on the poem, I thought Id lost the stems but found a couple of rendered parts so I was able to do some reworking
Hey BB - thanks for listening to this old one (with the bit of a rework on the spoken word) and for the warm comment. Sorry for the slow reply - This Easter was very full!
Thanks Rita - first time Ive tried recording with the harmonica so was happy with the final result - although it's not dazzling playing I did think it sounded kind of cool too : )
great creativity Ian love the spoken word mate, great fx added makes you listen intently the guitar is cool and the drum simplistic sparse instrumentation but manipulated so cool, well done mate. im struggling for inspiration at the minute, been a tough month, but keep checking in, looking for a spark, get out of this current mood ive found myself in
Hey mate - thanks for the warm feedback - sorry to hear you are in a bit of a fugue (the psychological rather than musical kind) Im quietly confident that such a creative and crafty old (but not as old as me) bugger will soon find his mojo. I like the maxim when things appear to be going slowly slow down ... good (but paradoxical) reminder to focus on what is already present and that there is often no real need to work too hard (just hard enough) ... if only I could remember that myself ... well as the poet in my track says 'one of these days' : ) I'm in your corner mate.
All good things

Description : Spoken Word with Rhythm. It's a song about dedication and being there for the one you love. People can easily say what they are going to do but not really mean any of the words. I learned a hard lesson in that today.
Description : I was writing another type of track and this "Spoken Word" I ran across kinda hi-jacked the track. At least I'll have the Genre right this time.
