BTW came back and there's nothing wrong with the low. I'll throw my earphones in the garbage and remember not to post too soon! :D Still a lovely and very interesting song. Great job Micky!
You guys come up with some unique sounding material, I must say. It's different, has some catchy pop stuff, a bit of funk and soul in there too. The intro was very cool and the song has a full sounding mix. Well done fellas!!
Hi Wayne, wow man, that's exactly the checklist you want to see the green tick behind every line ... very very flattering and encouraging!
Thank you for listening and commenting,
Hi there, these are certainly some comparisons of the most flattering sort, if I may say so, sir, Sencondnature. The classification as psychedelic is also very nice ... I appreciate that very much in these times of overly strict rationality.
Nice that you stopped by, thank you for the compliments.
These intro is sick, I love the vocals and bass in there. Then it comes to the drums, they are so soft but punchy at the same time. And all the stuff mixed very good, well done!
Hello Lonelyawxy,
thank you for stopping by ... so glad you like it. At first I thought the drums were too soft - not punchy enough, but then I thought: why should the drums always shake the walls at all costs - the groove works, it pulls, so it's ok. I'm glad you mention that.
So I had to go back a few times trying to pick the Dr John part! Love his early psychedelic stuff gris gris gumbo. always look forward to an installment from you, definitely a fan of your style, vox and aesthetic. Top class!
Oh this doctor, I remember getting real goosebumps when Zou Zou Mamou sounded in that voodoo scene in the movie ANGEL HEART. Well, in my song it honestly, certainly, I promise, definitely has no other function than that it fits tonally ... just buzzed around in my head. You can bet a crowfoot on that.
Certainly very pleased that you like the track - thank you, Zootman for stopping by again.
Hey Manu, I'm glad you like it. It's a real collaboration again between me and Robbie (Jynxz) - he sent me these keyboard parts which made a good track on their own and I wrote and sang lyrics to it, rebuilt and restructured and edited to fit the lyrics and then it became this song.
We are glad that you stopped by again,
Hi Michael,
I am very happy that you like the song.
Yes, I noticed that about Fleetwood Mac in the chorus part, but it wasn't really intentional. First Robbie sent me the keyboard parts and suggested I try to make something out of them. Then I decided that this particular part should be the chorus part and then I wrote lyrics. In fact, Fleetwood Mac's DREAMS is one of my all-time favorites ... ingeniously simple in structure, super reduced instrumentation and absolutely to the point. A prime example of the excellent pop song ... if you accept pop as a category or discipline, which I do. I don't have much to say on the substance...rather simple truths or even less...but I see these songs as exercises in a certain discipline in which one can do well or not so well. I used to pay more attention to virtuoso instrumental qualities, but that's changed now...probably since I started trying to sing myself.
Incidentally, there are other deeply vile thefts in the song: a hummed part from Dr. John's ZOU ZOU MAMOU and a tiny bit of text from Japan's GHOSTS ... I hope Mr. Rebbennack and Mr. Sylvian will be so lenient ...
nice work lads, this as got some bounce love the harmonies, its got a summery feel which is ideal listening in the terrific heat were experiencing just when you got somewhere the melody im spinning in the garden looking up to the sky, great job loved the cymbal ride outo
Hola Paul, so nice of you to always stop by! I'm so glad you like the track... it was an incredible amount of work. Do you know that feeling when you've made a track and listened to it about 1000 times and then at some point you just find it sickening? But you still know it's good? That was the case here, so I'm super happy you like it. I just want to please ...
Thank You for listening,
Cheers,
Micky
Has a very nice Fleetwood Mac vibe to it! I like it a lot, but (listening on cheap headphones so that might be to blame) most of the soundscape seems to be in the mid and high, and less so in the lower region? I'll give it another go with better sound later.
Lovely song though and I always love seeing collabs, so both of you well done guys!
Hey BB, nice to hear from you. Sure, Fleetwood Mac, but please only in the chorus part. I took the low end into account... it must be the headphones. Thank you for listening and commenting.
Cheers,
Micky

Description : This one has been sitting on my computer for a bit now but didn't really like it. My friends say it can use some vocals and I think that is what this one needs. If there is anyone who wants to put some vocals on this, send me an email at .magic41151@yahoo.com. or post below. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day!
Description : Based on excellent track by BradoSanz (nothing compares instrumental). I've added an intro, many sliced up vocals, audio effects, and some electric guitar. Includes loops: Holly's Within your soul, and 40A's Unstoppable.
