Description : The idea for this piece originated with, of all things, a quote from Harry Truman. He wrote: "Did you ever hear an overture played by a fine orchestra and imagined that things were as they ought to be instead of as they are?"
Musically this is some kind of unholy mix of film score, opera aria, electronics and American minimalism. But as usual, all meant very sincerely. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Maj, you are far too kind. But I appreciate it. Means a lot coming from a producer of your caliber. I have another one in the works but it's fairly different. I'll try to come back to this place (musically) after that.
Ha yeah - epic indeed - I was actually thinking of 2001 a space odyssey listening that start but then you settle into some very serene melodic place that had me thinking of Kansas (the band not the home of Dorothy) especially once that great vocal kicked in. Has a little of a rock opera feel about it and that might be a criticism (in my book at least ) if it wasn't so well done. Nice mix too. Congratulations : )
Lol I'm not sure how one could sound like Kansas the state, I'm imaging a lot of wind and twangy guitar. Anyway, thanks so much. I'm an Opera singer by training but rock has since surpassed it as my favorite genre. So... I suppose Rock Opera is kind of inevitable.
well, i’v had to wait a few days to have the right listening space for this, and so — my god, man what a show! the imagery has me seeing the ravens morphing with atomic bombers and flight on some black helicopters. the composition and orchestration are superbly affective, and that singing is like, on stage. john adams meets ultravox. very, very fine stuff, my friend.
In your comments you always give the most amazing imagery. I would've never thought of birds morphing into atomic bombers but it's a h*ll of a cool thought. Thanks so much man, as always.
Ok, now I know where the great comments on the vocals came from, you are an actual singer. If you live in London, Send me your rate and your phone number, that's awesome my man.
The operatic elements are fantastic. Beautiful opening, great composition; 8 minutes is long but it never bored.
You didn't ask for "helpful" comments but given how lovely your comments were, I will give it a try; I lived absolutely everything, but for me the piano parts can be even better (given how incredibly high the standard is for everything else in this track). The piano sounds like you play it at maximum volume, and I would like it to be more dynamic - it would be a great counterpoint to play it almost pianissimo, so the listener perks up. Just like you can get a classroom to shut up by whispering, rather than screaming :)
Cam, this was an amazing ride. Fav'ed and looking forward to more stuff!
Your vocal abilities are a gift Cam and so perfectly delivered. This is one of the best tracks I have heard on LM...well chosen rich sounds and fabulous work all round (really like that flute like synth bit too)...very pro. A well crafted mix that seems to cross several geners....superb....BRAVO...big fav..Ed
Wow, Cam.
What a great competition my friend.
Really beautiful and your voice is the cherry on the top my friend. I'm all with Manuela in this SUPERB.
Well done.

Hello, the intro is really overwhelming! Great ! You feel like you are in a large concert hall. The transition from the strings to the keys, superb. Just like the great, warm voice that sets in later. "Andrew Lloyd Webber" would have enjoyed this piece. I am delighted, delighted and overwhelmed by this sonority! Great! This song shows what music can trigger and effect. Thank you for this good work! Kind regards Manu
Cam! Yep definitely loving that cinematic entrance. So now the synth’s chord progressions with the string arrangement lift’s this to the stratosphere. It’s excellent how you put that production spotlight on the vocal. Impressive throughout, very impressive!
Thanks so much Mark, glad you enjoyed. I wasn't sure how the LM group was going to feel about this one so I'm relieved that it seems to be landing alright so far lol.
wow Cam what an intro, love the title too. oh god that synth at .35 brilliant, its an electronic aria mate, jean michel jarre esq the soft side, he had a brutal side too with drum machines the keys are great with that great male vocal, theres something Majestic about it, that maybe me only, my thought train at present our two countries have just lost our queen and the worlds grandmother. we felt it was close but still stunned by the shock. faved mate.
Oh yeah I don't know Jean Michel Jarre, I'll have do some googling. Thanks so much as ever for your listen and warm comments. I was pretty sad to hear about Queen Lizzie, I'm not much of a monarchist myself but had to respect the lady on a personal level. Much love!
Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : ambient, guess i was trying to blur the lines between soundscape and music or something like that. will still edit here and there. put it on, lie back and sift. bass loop from LM's megapaul - darktimes and danwilson - drug induced crush
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye

You're also very right about the piano part, upon re-listening a couple of days ago that's one of the things I noticed as well. Good ear!
