Description : Monday afternoon I had the devastating news that a far away friend is diagnosed with cancer (treatable, but still).
These are the moments we want to be with our friends, hug them, talk, cry, maybe laugh. But sometimes we are far from our friends and family, and that's not so easy.

But we are creators, and we can always let them know how we feel with a song. This one is for you, Cindi.

Yikes man, so sorry to hear about your friend. One of my really close friends was diagnosed this year too actually and sitting by without being able to DO anything to help is so frustrating. Your care and concern for her really do shine through in this song. From what you've said above it sounds like you were trying to say something deeper and more impactful than just the words you sang in this song and you definitely succeeded. Well done!

I just lost my mother to cancer on Dec.7th 2022. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. You have honored them.

Holy crap Jonathan, I'm so sorry :(
I actually had to stop and sit down for a moment. That hit me like a hammer, and obviously nothing like it must have hit you.

I read a poem the other day that moved me to tears (I also wrote a song for it). It's also comforting though, through the pain. I hope it might give you a sliver of comfort.

The poem is by Donna Ashworth:

It's true that emotions make the best tracks.
Unfortunately this is terrible what she is going through right now but let's hope and assume that it will be ok.
To hear such a beautiful track from a friend will definitely give her a lot of support.

nice track bro, can feel the emotion in this one. its hard news to be given, that's one scary word cancer. and its not easy when your not living close to said person, you want to be there just to say i got you. best wishes to Cindi, im sure she knows how you feel and this just backs up your words great work mate.

You know what, I just played it again and it was great to again sing along at full power. I'd be looking forward to playing it live even (too bad I can't clone myself to sing and play all instruments at the same time ;) ).

Hello, I think right now in this pre-Christmas period, one should think about the people who are not doing so well. To the people who have to endure great suffering. To the people who are lonely, whether loneliness is in their hearts or they have no one around them. There are so many people worth thinking about. Sick people, hungry people, displaced people. I think your song stands for all these people who should be given a nice thought, even if your song is about a good friend. Folks, just stop, stop what you're doing, close your eyes and just give someone your thoughts for a second. Greetings Manuela

Sometimes the best work we do is when we have an emotional goal, as you have presented to us here. The song is sublime, and the mix is great. I really like your vox treatments on your voice, it fits your style well. I could hear you play this live and extend the instrumental part as a coda at the end, sort of how Roxy does that on "More than this", or Mark Knopfler with "On every street". Otherwise Brilliant and my thoughts are with Cindi's recovery, Your a good friend to her mate!

Yeah you hit the nail on the head as usual. I'll work a bit more on the bridge (wherever we are) and the ending (I'm here for you) but this'll do for now :)

Beautiful heartful dedication. For sure music is a inner emotion changer or healer i should say. Obvious this is not a great situation but she did inspire you to create this good work man love the singing the lyrics sure helped her a lot
