Description : Clavinet loop by Joe Funktastic.
Music production, bass, guitars, vocals by Micky. This track is dedicated to the great Joe Funktastic. It's based on one of his genius loops... clavinet in this case. He was something of a mentor here...always open, always a good critique or a super motivating compliment. So for me he's been a big help here...thanks Joe!

Did you do the Bass on this track?
I hear you doing some wild Keyboard
stuff on this track. Your Vocals and
Guitar work are totally on point. You
can't go wrong with a Joe Funktastic sample.
All the parts on this track fit together perfectly...
Great track. Faved.. PEACE... TTYL:-)
Hi Mickey, great work! I can only agree with the others here. Funk at its finest! Great matching staged solo interludes full of joy of playing. The transitions between the vocals and solo parts are well structured and flowing. The tempos are excellent and there is nothing wrong with the mix and mastering. You can tell that a live musician is at work here *smile.
@ BaoBou: You don't need to hide! Your songs are also great, individual and, above all, authentic.
Greetings Manuela
Hey Manu,
your statement is particularly pleasing to someone who has been a live musician for as long as I have! With all the technology used, I'm happy if my real jingles still come across. Thank you and kind regards,
Micky
You know what, I'm really happy you mention the little detail about having worked in rehearsal rooms and recordings :)
I didn't start all this stuff until a couple years ago (well, almost 5 by now) and only the past year have I been doing recordings of drums/vocals and getting more interested in the mixing/mastering... and I feel so stupid sometimes when I hear people like you, Manu, MtKing and so many others bang out one amazingly produced track after the next...
It's nice to know that the people I look up to are often (a lot) more experienced, and there is still some hope for me ;)
From the first note I was hooked, loved the intro. Some cool changes and transitions. Tons of energy continuously exploding through each part. Loved the lead part around 2:00!
Awesome track Micky. I also recognise the great work you did on the original loop which was funky, but didn't nearly sound as crisp as you made it. The bas is also top notch!
Well, and your drums, obviously. You will need to tell me how you manage that, I clearly have something to learn here :)
Thank you for listening. Oh yes, the drums... when I was still working with bands in rehearsal rooms, I also had a lot more time and recorded real drums. Since I didn't have that many tracks at that time, I used four microphones to record the drums and put them together in such a small box. It had four inputs and one volume control each. Nothing special and also dirt cheap, but I was able to adjust the recording a bit. I always think it's good to use real drums, but I just don't have the time for it anymore. That's why I became friends with Garage Band's "virtual drummer". If you enslave it and "abuse" it a bit (musically speaking, of course) you can get pretty good results out of it. However, I'm not even particularly happy with the result of this track. But I tend to bang out tracks before I really get bogged down in them.
Btw, my friend Robbie (JYNXZ) uses a drum program that he keeps surprising me with because it sounds so damn real. Unfortunately I've forgotten the name, but I'm happy to ask him about it. I'm sure you'd get a convincing drum sound with that.
Maj ... three projects at the same time... WOW... Man, how do you find the time for this. I'm progressing at a snail's pace with just one project... Hats off!
Thanks for listening and your nice comment,
I am very pleased!

Description : 'Love will find you at the right time'...This track is about how we vibrationally attract love. From my recollection, in the early 20s/teen years, a typical place to encounter this wonderful force was the Disco. (Kay)

Description : Continuing my journey with sampling. This was mostly an accident, and not where I originally thought it would go but I'm happy with the destination. I started with the track Real Reel Switcher by Eunice Russ Frost, which has a slower melancholy swing to it, however I've been playing a bunch of older video games lately, with SSX being in the mix heavily, so this track ended up taking on a bit of that for inspiration as well. Would love your thoughts.

Description : 3rd track of my future vocaloid album, Acerbus 2.Many thanks to Venuslove for the vocals, MrFunktastic for the Funk bass, Strings (left and right), and the robotic sound mainly at the beginning of the song. and Atlasblue for the Snares (sorry atlasblue that I couldn't include you in the title, only 50 characters allowed, thus I ran out of space)
Description : Updated 12/2/2022. This is an interesting redo of a funky and fun composition. I gave it more polish by switching to a different drum kit, swapped the flute solo for a synth, then infused more flavor into the guitars, bass and organ. Then lastly tweaking the final master. Can you tell the difference? Let me know. Enjoy.
Description : This is the first production for STAR TRAVELS in collaboration between MICKY (LM) and JYNXZ (LM).

Thanks to everyone who contributed in explaining what I did wrong in the engineering, mixing and mastering, especially Ben (bringerofDOOM). Looperman is truly an awesome community and thank you all. Did I say you guys are awesome?
