The waveform is mostly because of the bass, it moves out the whole song and I wanted it to be the main instrument in the song. It does have an old school vibe, 50's feel to it but modernized and rocked up a bit more.
Glad you laughed at a man in a mid life crisis with a scandalous woman he randomly meets. Like an episode of Married with Children with Al Bundy. lol
Hello Wayne
That's a fresh song.
Something funny. Something dynamic. Something raw or rather wild.
Something crazy. ..... So many something.
Is it too many? NO, certainly not.
It's like cooking, there could/should be some spices in it.
For all those who thought that they would get something here that was almost tasteless and for those who hoped to get boring monotony here, this POP song is probably not for them.
But I liked it and I would like to have another plate full.
Tried to keep the song wide open for the lyrics, was commented on my previous song to leave more room for the vocals so I went overboard leaving the mix open for the vox, he.
It turned out good, fun. Got a decent response to the humor in it while trying to keep it sounding serious at the same time.
Thanks Joe! Haven't seen you around much, be well man!
my first thought when I read your title "Kansas City" was "Les Humphries". That's not surprising, though, because Kansas City is basically indissolubly welded to Les Humphries in my mind.
It was a band, a group from the 70s, named after the founder, an Englishman living in Hamburg at that time, which had hit after hit ("Kansas City" was one of the biggest of them) in Germany in those years. You will hardly know Les Humphries, of course, but from my generation, even today, everyone in Germany certainly knows him at once.
Hi Wayne, another original track that sounds live, as usual your voice does the job, I don't understand all the lyrics but it doesn't sound sad! good job my friend !

You are a writers writer.
I can feel the honesty in
every track I've ever heard
of yours. It's like you can translate
what you think into music with such ease.
Over the years I feel like I know you, just
from hearing your music.Always sounds LIVE...
I write music for me to enjoy. If others do than that's a bonus to me. If I put something together that isn't working for me than I know others probably won't dig it either.
I like writers that write simple straightforward songs like Eddie Spaghetti of the SuperSuckers or John Prine and Johnny Cash. Telling good stories comes across as honest music if you can get the listener to buy into the story you are selling as the singer.
Hell yeah, I hope this isn't autobiographical!! Or actually, thinking about it, it would be even cooler if it was true. You have a great knack of making these really fun, lighthearted and humorous songs. Excellent horns and guitars and drums and....

Description : This one has been sitting on my computer for a bit now but didn't really like it. My friends say it can use some vocals and I think that is what this one needs. If there is anyone who wants to put some vocals on this, send me an email at .magic41151@yahoo.com. or post below. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day!
Description : Based on excellent track by BradoSanz (nothing compares instrumental). I've added an intro, many sliced up vocals, audio effects, and some electric guitar. Includes loops: Holly's Within your soul, and 40A's Unstoppable.

Kansas City seems to dynamize... both with Les Humphries and with you! I really enjoyed listening to your version as well.

I did not Mr. Humphries till now, nor his song. When I first think of a KC song it's by Fats Domino, the classic.

You and the character in the song have fond memories of KC!
