Description : I composed this track around the vocals of a Looperman colleague... PANE... a young guy from Algeria. I think he's super talented, but I've never been able to communicate with him... he's just kind of unavailable. Maybe he finds this track by accident. I hope you like this.

Micky, all I can say on this one is, YOU LAID THIS OUT. Producing at its finesse around a vocal. I was diggin the Suttle but effective use of the guitars. Glad I checked this out. Had to fav. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I'm so glad someone is finally discovering my guitar work. I used various inspirations here, namely Kid Creole's/Coati Mundi's work as well as some Melvin Ragin (the super-thin guitar inserts in between, which I particularly love. Stolen from Rose Royce, by the way). Oh, if only I had studied guitar when I was young..... sniffle... No, seriously, it means a lot to me to have your appreciation: thank you!
You really did a great job there.
At first I thought, well, that sounds pretty nice, but somehow "simple". But after a short moment I was fully into it.
The soundscape is really successful and it fits perfectly to the vocals. You did a really good mix with the vocals. They sound good and the effects are right and fit.
Everything sounds fresh and funky and a bit spacy.
Definitely a track to dance to.
Since I'm not feeling very well and I'm a bit shaky, I couldn't pull myself out of my chair and dance around. But I rocked and jumped really hard on my chair.
Hey Joe, thanks for visiting. I am very pleased that you liked it and even more that it got you moving ... despite your hopefully only momentary limitation.
Get well soon!
Micky
great track Micky vocal is good bro but how you put the mix together is great, the instruments are perfect great bass and great beat to compliment the vox, all the little touches of charm dropping the synth work is outstanding your a super talented muscian mate and your tunes are fire bro
Hi Paul, I'm glad you like it even though it looks a bit dated. But since I'm an old fart, it's kind of logical that my influences go back a little further. Anyway, thank you for listening and your very flattering comment, as always.
Cheers,
Micky
Good job man I remember in the beginning of this website when I had found it I used his vocals one time he has a good voice and you really caught the vibe on this one at first I was kind of iffy about it but once I started listening then I said oh yeah it goes
Hi, how are you CincoCent. I did this thing three years ago and have now polished it up a bit and just wanted to show it around again. Personally, I'm quite happy with my guitar work here, and I'd love to have some strong horns a la Kid Creole as well, but that's not easy to replicate. Pane's kind of dropped off the face of the earth... he hasn't reported back to anyone for three years or more. I hope nothing happened to him down there in East Africa. Thanks for listening and the kind words.
Micky! This is AWESOME MAN! You took me back, way back. The mix and presentation is over the top. A touch of Talking Heads feeling. Synths are soaring and beat is solid. I’m loving that synth bass too. Stellar work Micky all the way to the ending cymbal crash. OH Yeah I’ve got to fave you!
Hello Mark, how are you?
I am very happy that you like my track. I made this 3 years ago, but recently remixed it and added a little bit here and there. I don't want to go unmentioned that as with all of my tracks, all of the instruments are played by me, so no loops or samples, except for the drums and background effects. Yep, I'm into the good old shoemaker's trade. Thank you for the nice visit.
Micky
Your tracks are always
just done to perfection.
There is so much going on
that you really have to listen
to it, at least twice to fully appreciate
all the the different sounds that you are using.
I especially like the Synth and the FX on this track.
Your Bass and Drum are always right on time.
Great track. Faved.. PEACE from the Beach hangar... TTYL
Hello Michael,
I have to say ... you can be relied on! I'm really happy that you keep listening and I thank you for the encouraging words. They do me particularly good from a producer of your caliber! I always listen to your and other tracks as well, but I don't want to constantly comment on each one, otherwise it would seem like I'm trying desperately to stay at the top of the featured tracks permanently.
Thank you for listening, glad you like it!
Cheers,
Micky
You always have a tremendous sense of depth in your mixes. So many interesting and textural things to listen to. Nice changes throughout the whole piece. The vocals work great and there is some nice effects on them, they sit well in the mix.
I'm an old fart and can't believe I'm still making music. I am all the happier that other guitarists still give me credit. But it's a burning passion that won't let go of me, and I'm with Bob Ross, the great kitsch painter: you may not be able to change much in life, but on your canvas you have the absolute power to do whatever you like. Thanks for the kind words.
Cheers, Micky
What a vibe. Superb vocal. Your music incredible. I love the subtle detail in the back, and the up front guitars and synths and percs are plain wicked. Sound quality amazing too!
Hello Chris.
I'm always flashed about the fact that someone in New Zealand hears and even likes my work here from the Neanderthal! Well, world fame won't be long in coming, huh?
Nice of you to check it out regularly... thank you and all the best to you, your family and friends in NZ.
Hey Micky - wow what a nice vocal from PANE and some very nice funky disco. Love the building rhythms and the build and mix of instruments, great percs and bass, and those cool seamless transitions, usually not such a fan of that 70's sounding wandering jazz synth but it absolutely fits here

Nice that you stopped by my club again. And thank you for the applause!
I stole the bass theme from an 80s album by singer CRISTINA. Their eponymous album was produced by August Darnell aka Kid Creole and Andy Hernandez (Coati Mundi) and is a kind of disco work of art. There is the track "Blame It On Disco" from the middle part of which I "taken" the bass figure. Cristina's album should be dug up again, because it's a beautiful document of the times and August would certainly be happy too...!
Cheers,
Micky

Description : Continuing my journey with sampling. This was mostly an accident, and not where I originally thought it would go but I'm happy with the destination. I started with the track Real Reel Switcher by Eunice Russ Frost, which has a slower melancholy swing to it, however I've been playing a bunch of older video games lately, with SSX being in the mix heavily, so this track ended up taking on a bit of that for inspiration as well. Would love your thoughts.

Description : 3rd track of my future vocaloid album, Acerbus 2.Many thanks to Venuslove for the vocals, MrFunktastic for the Funk bass, Strings (left and right), and the robotic sound mainly at the beginning of the song. and Atlasblue for the Snares (sorry atlasblue that I couldn't include you in the title, only 50 characters allowed, thus I ran out of space)
Description : Updated 12/2/2022. This is an interesting redo of a funky and fun composition. I gave it more polish by switching to a different drum kit, swapped the flute solo for a synth, then infused more flavor into the guitars, bass and organ. Then lastly tweaking the final master. Can you tell the difference? Let me know. Enjoy.
Description : This is the first production for STAR TRAVELS in collaboration between MICKY (LM) and JYNXZ (LM).

Thanks to everyone who contributed in explaining what I did wrong in the engineering, mixing and mastering, especially Ben (bringerofDOOM). Looperman is truly an awesome community and thank you all. Did I say you guys are awesome?
