Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Absolutely love this tune its a masterpiece. The vocals I think are cool nice touch.
All the instruments sound cool I love the melodies and her voice she's really come out of her shell and she sounds amazing.
Well done you keep impressing us all.
Hello VintageNights, what a wonderful tour de force in creativity; it has a feel somewhere between "electronic, pop, hip hop & chill." The artistic way in which the autotune was implemented, really enhanced the vocalist effect in the storytelling. Very well done!
Yep Oli is the O in the word producer ;) (play on words, as in oh, lol). He is super clever at all the techniques and full of surprises. I write and perform the lyrics and he does all the magic Thank you for your lovely feedback Kay
Lovely Tune, Dripping with Irony in how you delivered the sounds and the tech used in making it,, I always appreciate that sensibility in art. Let me know when you want me to do a remix of this. We could call it "The luddite mix" /S I enjoyed this one!
Brilliant work!! I love the juxtaposition of the lyric and the vocal treatment, your choice of instrumentation, and the stylistic prowess of the vocalist. I'd pay BIG bucks to see this performed live. Well done!
Hello VintageNights, brother you've put together a great track here. The vocalist really takes this to the next level. There's a nice assortment of fill ins and interesting effects to make it even more appealing. It's a must listen to track in my opinion.....and a favorite 4 me.
It's about balance, really - communicate better, standing up for what you believe in to get that balance. I did try to upload the lyrics but it went horribly wrong! A regular line in the song is 'I want a world that sings, not a world that stings'. 'Smart aint clever, it means to hurt', as in the verb, to smart - which means to sting. I have a feeling that some of these lyrics have been misheard and people are missing some bits when they hear it. Must try again to upload the darned lyrics, lol. Thank you for your feedback. I can see you have fresh up and I have reciprocated ;) Kay
Fantastic track!
The melody is awesome, and the flute adds a beautiful touch. The vibe is incredible, and the autotune/robotune fits perfectly with the overall ambiance.
P.S: Dont feel pessimistic about technology, its amazing and just depends on how we choose to use it. Great work!

Many thanks for your nice reply. Its is more about loosing the human soul in all of this technology. If I look 30yrs forward, the world could be a wonderful place for humans. Cheers, Oli
I have listened to your song many times. It is a fav this one. Great job in composing and sequencing, absolutely beautiful vocals. What you get is the joy of life. Really your vocals Kay are excellent. It is a very very good song and you add this ingredient that makes it a special song. Well done to all of you
My best regards, Anthony
Anthony thank you for appreciating the feel and the lyrics of the song. Oli takes Gold for composition, for sure. So touched you listened several times. I am going to add lyrics ;)
TS? The song is about the exasperation we experience in today's world - such as those tags that are hard to remove on drinks and people getting addicted to their phone rather than communicating. It's looking at it in a fun way, though Kay
Man, this feels in some ways like early naughts Glo-Up music! Dope! But its definitely its own thing, most of all. I cant say Ive heard much on here that sounds like this. My brother plays songs from here all the time, in addition to what i play myself, so I can back those words up! lol. Either way, I Love this one. - Jared
This one took me surprise. The lyrics have a desperate humanity to them, and a strong sense of dignity. Thats honestly a trademark of many of your songs, not just this one. And having a real message at all is something that alot of today's music lacks, and I commend u for holding onto values and beliefs in the face of an increasingly distant and cold world. Im not a stranger to those feelings myself. But Ive been terrified of the metal skeletons from the Terminator movies since I was a kid, so technology such as A.I. disturbs me in a very Need-a-therpist kinda way lol. Im really glad that Ive had the unique journey through music that I have - Ive had my time with performing live, being in a band and havingsome of our songs professionally recorded, My time as a performing DJ, Time as a stage Tech, even played some acoustic sets covering Alice In Chains & STP songs with an incredible singer. Ive had a taste of music life before technology really took over the industry, and I appreciate that more and more everyday. Your song gave me these thoughts, so I thought Id share them with u. Thank u for sharing your Brilliance with us, guys. (and gals, my bad Kay lol)
Wow bless you for your kind feedback - one always takes a risk with opening up the heart to share a piece of themselves in terms of creativity and deep personal thoughts. So glad this resonates with you. I really appreciate your music and feedback Kay ;)
I like it, it has a good beat and the insertion of the flute is really nice!
I hope you don't mind me saying: you could probably dial back the robotune a bit? But I know it's an acquired tasted, I'm an old man and I grew up listening to The Cure and Lou Reed ;)
Bless you and thank you for feeding back. I don't mind your suggestion at all. BTW I dont think ur old - I grew up listening to Kate Bush, Blondie, T-Rex etc lol. As you can deduce, Kay0s are very experimental and quirky with their dance between the genres. Have a fabulous day. Kay
wow Kai what an amazing beat and that voice and lyrics are also very special
How do you get it?
It fits your music perfectly, but I'm starting to suspect that you can hear a vocal and make the beat to it.
Very well done.
This is very innovative indeed, and I have to say your tracks are always a mind-trip and different which is a good thing and it showcases your creativity is on another level, this is like nothing I have heard here and honestly clears away the cobwebs and same ole same stuff, you definitely have your finger on the pulse! talk about a mind that is a creative universe. Bravo!
Halleluyah - Thanks for getting us, totally! We bring emotional intelligence, quirkiness and creativity together - thank you for your kind feedback x Kay
love that intro, super melody, great lyrics too Kay and i love the FX Oli has used on them the flute/recorder is great, i think tech is great and can enhance things its not going away so we need to embrace it, and no i never used to think that, i think the internet is a demon, to many falsehoods lies and what not, kids need educating facts not fiction, when i first got a mobile for work, i was like this is a spy, i remember like yesterday, the first call i got, i was having a pea in the gents lol, i was furious, ringing in my pocket everyone in the their looked at me , i was due in the office, when i got there i went in to the manager and said you can f#ck that off for a start, pagers pissed me off for years, every bloody time it went off i had to ring the office until the message master come out. i have all the socials but i dont use them much its really to keep in touch with my family as we all live all over the place in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, great track though guys
Hello both of you, what a beautifully structured and interesting song! Its very entertaining with an appealing melody. However, I find your comments in the accompanying text a bit pessimistic. Not everything that goes wrong today can be blamed on technological development. I believe most of what holds us back happens in the minds of individuals. Many people think that Meta and similar platforms are the reality, and that influencers reflect the real world. I think we need to focus more on educating about these issues and show our youth better future perspectives, so they can feel comfortable in the present and in being themselves.
Best regards,
Manuela
Thank you for your feedback and I agree. Unfortunately I didnt have enough space in the bio to express that side of things. The song is essentially also about how using the mind for ever-advancing technology cuts us off from our intuition and heart chakra energy. The line 'lets go back we've gone too far' really is about going back enough to have evolved but not remaining so engulfed by IT reality that we lose ourselves. Like I said, there was no space in the bio for that. We will upload the lyrics at some point. Regards Kay

Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : This is a strictly groove track where the elements of ambient meets electronic funk and Hip Hop. I play all instruments on the track excluding guitar solo which was performed by my friend Art Miller.
Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.

Description : Far out mid-tempo fat beat deep chillout grooves with Eastern/Arabic and slightly menacing vibes, huge delayed synth bass and a great palette of psychedelic layered and intricate sounds (mostly synths) and a stirring, epic feel. Even has guitar solo section reminiscent of some 80s power rock which is then followed by a brief synth harp solo. I began making it straight after staying round the flat of the flute player from the legendary Ozric Tentacles - easily the greatest ever space rock band. I made this in about 2001 and still think it might be my best track (and it's nice and short, for a change). My production skills were much weaker in those days (no EQ, compression or mastering used here) but, somehow, this one turned out pretty much just right. Feel free to disagree. Now sit back and get ready to trip extremely far out. If you manage to return, let me know how that trip was...
