Description : To get myself going again, after a track with an acapella, here's me going crazy (and fairly unfiltered) on the instruments. Just having fun - it's not perfect, but I hope it has loads of energy and makes your toes curl and your nose twitch (or vice versa).

nice to here you having a great time playing mate , the energy in your jam is shining through, nice keys and the guiter is fresh you sound like your having a great time
Nice!!! You got skills man, the chords work so well together, and there's some sick jamming going on, especially running later in the song. Heck yeah!!
Hello BaoBou,
what I have heard was a track to get up and dance. So much power. Great work, I love all instruments, they have been played so well. Great.
Greetings
Matthias
But I think that's exactly what defines an individualist in the end: the slightly delayed start, the not always even key pressure, the sliding of fingers on the fretboard, the slightly delayed entry in singing, the slightly over the chord lying timbre. Many things that I hear as not so good or as a slight mistake in my singing are perceived by many uninvolved listeners as brilliant, great, or sweet. I think a bit of imperfection does our work immensely good, making it interesting and unique. I don't do it on purpose, but I indulge myself and my listeners *smile. Looking forward to your 'hum' *smile.
Songs that are more jam session than anything else but are performed by folks that are skilled often really have some qualities that a composed song just does not, and cant, have. And the very best of them really make u want to pick up an instrument and just start jammin with em lol. Im happy to deliver some good news man - this is one of those songs.
My brother Aaron has been playing some guitar again these last few months, the songs he's been creating for Our Group are really something diferent and special, involving alot of guitars. I hope youve had a chance to check some of our songs out, man. Anyway nice work man. I was kinda drowsy when i pressed play but I guess this woke me up and got the blood flowing again
All my tracks are always jam sessions - they might be a 4 minute / 3-part full structure with intro-verse-pre-chorus-chorus-break & outro but in spirit they'll still be a jam. My hook is always from a jam - I'll have an idea, grab an instrument, record it and go to the next instrument to see what the rest of the band wants to do with it, and if it sticks, it's a song :)
Yeah mate I always follow Aaron and I also follow the band here - let me know if there's also some IG or YT I should follow!
Thank you so much!
Tell me about Persona?I know the game (never played it), I see there's a band (or multiple it seems) - you mean the metal band? Or the wedding/party band close to me in Ealing? ;)
Hi! The captivating rhythm gets me moving straight away. My question: What about it isnt supposed to be perfect? To me, it feels absolutely perfect. And you know what? I sometimes miss your earlier singing *smile. Best regards, Manuela
Ahhhh that's so sweet! Well... it so happens I'm actively recording and writing the next track which will definitely include some hideous noises emanating from my vocal chords ;) Maybe over the weekend!
It's funny, Icouldn't write a song to save my life for half a year and suddenly it's all coming back.
What's not perfect? Well, there's quite a few piano chords just ahead of or after the beat, there's a couple guitar sounds that could be louder or maybe differently, I didn't compress/reverb/delay/pan/saturate/highpass/lowpass it all properly. I still don't know what I'm doing.
But I decided that trying to make it perfect was exactly the thing that kept me from enjoying the process. So expect loads of amateur-demo-unbalanced-unfinished - but very PERSONAL stuff that you know came straight from my heart :)
I think It may have made my ears curl and my eyebrows twitch, or something like that, but same difference, really. lol. Music is only noise if the creator(s) of it isnt having fun, and there's no doubt ur having a ton it. I got my friend's guitar out now lol, this made me want to just play some raw stuff for a bit. Always enjoy ur work, and also ur enthusiasm, man. Thanks for sharing.
This track has such a driving beat & that guitar is singing like no tomorrow!...TOP! Track, Exceptionally entertaining and uplifting, like this a lot.. NICE!!! work Bao. Kudos!

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
