It's good to do that to a certain extent to perfect your craft but don't go out your way to kick yourself. I'm on my third consecutive listen of LIFE and I can honestly say this is "classic". Introspective, great arrangements, meaningful lyrics that make you think. Damn, a slice of heaven. Mainstream hip hop can't touch this matter of factness, they lie still like a cold, wet mattress. you got good style man! but you should try one singe vocal track and see if you can find someone to do a small bit of the backup vocals. you dont need to layer your voice, you have a good mc voice man, dont cover it.it should give you more power to specific words and more of a personal feel....so it doesn't sound "over produced". and i would like to hear something a little heartfelt and serious, i think your voice would fit that style
