Description : This is my entry for Barry's competition. I have tried to reach a spiritual level with my playing on this track (this is the highest I have played on the alto, listen for the key change and you will hear). I would be lying if I said I had spent along time working on this track, truth be known, I played through the song twice. But! In saying that, it has taken twenty five years of playing, study and life experience to put in what I played on this. I have left the track alone, apart from snipping the intro off and replacing it with a sax lead in. I love the Pink Floyd feel Barry has captured in this offering, and have to say to all reading this, how honoured I am to know Barry and call him my friend. He is to me ,a true human being....

Cheers Slap...

Umm.... how do you follow an act like this??? I mean really? As one member put it, it almost makes you not want to post anything. (lol) Great job slap, I'd say you'd reach the peak of spirituality on this track. And I'm sure we're all blown away, (lol) excellent. D :)

Nothing but crazy amounts of respect for you man. Alright, maybe a teensy bit of jealousy too. I can't imagine being able to play the saxophone so well (the key change... how did you manage to keep such a high note so steady? Absolutely incredible), let alone improv something so magnificent.

Thank you for posting.

Description : I wrote this song about 25 years ago; a feel good Christmas song of my own.
Using 3 part harmonies during the verse and 5 part harmonies during the chorus; 2 and 3 part acoustic guitar harmonies during the "solo".
I am performing all except for Apple drum loops.
Done in the style of Country.

Description : Gospel track sung by Patricia Edwards.I had remixed this with a verse by Lacrae. I pulled the verse but thought to upload the track anyhow. Maybe some Looper will drop a verse in it. Feel free to use on the condition to drop me a link and respect Patricia's, no commercial use clause.

Description : This hymn, (also known as the Navy Hymn), was my wife’s grandmother’s favourite hymn. Wasn’t familiar with it. The Wikipedia article had an arrangement which I used for this track. Harmony is not my work, but the orchestration is. Made the track more as an exercise in exploring harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration. I realize this is not anything close to the norm of tracks here on Looperman, but it’s always good to stir things up a bit, right?

Description : This was my first "serious" experiment in song arrangement. It is based on the vocal acapella by my good friend Patrick Victor. He performed this song in his megachurch to a warm reception.
Note, I'm not as pious as him :)
